Headaches are a good sign - most common pregnancy complaint! @TwittleBee

Congratulations @edidxb !

TwittleBee · 01/02/2019 06:37

Ah brilliant you've finally got that smiley! Enjoy DTD and FX! Buggles1

TwittleBee · 01/02/2019 06:36

Oh my yay edidxb !!! Bloomin hope that is v v v v strong line for you Monday and that this is gonna be 3rd time lucky for you xx

Kin that looks like my chart that ended in this pregnancy! FX for monday! Looks good.

I've woken with an awful headache and feel like my back has been stomped on all night. But no bleeding at least! Trying to convince myself that's a good sign and that this car accident will be different

Buggles1 · 01/02/2019 06:21

Congrats @edidxb! Fab news.
Still keeping fingers crossed for you @twittle. Know they are busy but it just seems so heartless to make you wait that long for a scan. They don’t seem to realise the emotional impact of all this, esp after prior MCs.
I’ve been testing for the last few days and I’ve had my first Smile since MC on clearblue ovulation kit this morning... finally... now to dtd.. hope DH is feeling up for it!

Kinsters · 01/02/2019 06:11

Omg edidxb congratulations!! And you were so sure it wouldn't be this cycle!

My hairdresser didn't mention my hair so maybe it's the same as ever. He's a man of few words anyway.

ratherbeshowjumping · 01/02/2019 05:52

@edidxb congratulations!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 another one!! How are you feeling in yourself?

@Kinsters that's a perfect chart, keeping my fingers crossed! Xx

edidxb · 01/02/2019 05:49

Argghhh, the picture did post and now I have posted it twice which makes me look like a real show off which was not my intention. Sorry all. I don't think you can delete a post either..... anyway - let's move on!

edidxb · 01/02/2019 05:47

I don't think my picture uploaded....

Morning all.
So......yesterday I was 10dpo and decided to take a test......and it was positive! I have attached a photo. I don't know why I tested really. I was convinced that there was no chance this cycle as according to my data we had sex 5 days before ovulation. I know it is possible but chances are slim. So I was either lucky or I ovulated a day or two earlier and my temps were slow to rise. But yesterday I could just feel a really small tingle in my nipples and I had commented to someone at work about the smell of a banana. I got home and had a pack of 3 FRERs and decided to just go for it. Which is odd as I really try to wait until period day. Anyway, there was a line. It is pretty faint but hopefully you can see it there. My heart was just pounding so much.
I haven't told my husband yet which sounds ridiculous but I just can't. I had to go to the airport to collect my parents last night as they landed at 0030 and thankfully they came through about 1am. I was in bed by 2am but took my ages to get to sleep. They are just here for the weekend on their way to India for 2 weeks. We have plans today to go to the theatre and then out for dinner etc.
I think I am going to test again on Monday which is when AF is due and if it is positive then I will tell DH. My parents will have gone then too......oh I don't know.

Once again, I know we all want this for everyone on the thread but I know it's a slight kick in the teeth for everyone but j just had to write about my shock. This is my 3rd pregnancy in 12 months and I was due to go to the doctors in 2 weeks to have my blood clotting tests etc to see why I miscarried. Now I am so worried if I have to go through a mc again. I know plenty of people do and there are lots of you on here who have had 3mc but it's a scary thought.

But I have decided I'm not going to take progesterone this time and I'm not going for any scan until 8 weeks ish. And if something happens before then then it does. I am lucky with my healthcare here that if I wanted to go to the doctors tomorrow and have a scan I could (not that you would see anything) but this time I'll just wait.

So apologies for my essay this morning.

@Twitter I hope you are ok today.
@tigsyboo that is the worst hairdresser story I have every heard. How awful.

And finally.......Inspection is over!!!!!!! And we got top marks Smile

Twittle still thinking of you and your little baby. I really hope you're both OK.

Betty fingers crossed you get some snow for DS to play in!

I didn't think about the hormonal changes affecting hair and I'm getting mine cut today. Won't the hormones have all gone by now? Or does hair stay thick for a while?

My chart is looking really nice and smooth so far this cycle (post o anyway) which has been a good sign for me in the past. Trying not to get my hopes up too much though as I've had a nice smooth curve and positive test before and then my period came bang on time anyway. At least my luteal phase is short so I should know by Monday whether I'm pregnant or not.

Rose68 · 31/01/2019 22:50

Oh Tigsy, that’s terrible! I really hope that idiot hairdresser has learnt her lesson.

@Rather hmmm sharp pains on one side sound like ovulation pains.

@Betty I don’t think I would want to be travelling tomorrow if tonight’s weather forecast is right. I’m sure DS will have a fab time playing in the snow and eating cake. Hopefully Granny will be forgotten.

Pegase · 31/01/2019 22:29

@tigsyboo I get asked if I'm pregnant by my hairdresser too. Just the once and leaves it though- I would have been fuming in your position! So rude.

ratherbeshowjumping · 31/01/2019 22:07

Tigsy that's awful! How awkward 🤦🏽‍♀️ no wonder you cried! I would have done the same...

@BettySwoll0cks come and join us in the moany corner! Your poor DS, I hope he's not too upset. As a positive, at least you get a whole cake to yourself...?

BettySwoll0cks · 31/01/2019 22:03

Well I'm with you all on the bad mood. I'm still ill (will have to go back to work tomorrow tho, work is piling up), then my MIL just cancelled coming to see us tomorrow afternoon because she's convinced the Beast from the East is inbound, and then my Aunt (who wanted to come and stay the weekend) cancelled too. I don't really care about either but my 2yo DS is going to be devastated - we even baked a cake this evening for Granny and he was looking forward to dogsitting her Jack Russell for the next 2 weeks. Fucks sake.

BettySwoll0cks · 31/01/2019 21:15

Crosspost ... @tigsy ... 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

BettySwoll0cks · 31/01/2019 21:13

Oh @rather ... 🤦‍♀️

tigsyboo · 31/01/2019 21:13

Yep... with you all on the bad mood!! Hve a killer sore throat and had been looking forward to relaxing having my hair done all week....
Went to have my hair done today.... since pregnancy and miscarriage it's all broken off around my hairline on my face it's like I have a fringe when I don't! GP said it's common with hormones changing so quickly.... so anyway hairdressser takes one root around my hair clipping it up in sections and goes 'so... come on.... when's it due - this is hormone hair!!!' In the middle of the salon!! I just winced and said 'I'm not pregnant' at which she called her colleague over and went 'come on, look at this, how long have we been doing this job... that's hormone hair isn't it' to which she agreed - deffo hormone hair. I again insisted I wasn't pregnant.... to which they said they would send the receptionist out to the pharmacy over the rd to get me a pregnancy test as '100% that's hormone hair!' - I had no choice but to just blurt out in the middle of the salon - 'I was pregnant, I'm not now -can you please just highlight my damn hair!' - I've never felt to awkward. I don't know why I didn't just leave, but my coat was put away somewhere , my hair was clipped up in sections and quite frankly my roots were desperate! Spent 2 hours trying not to cry and as soon as I got into the car burst into tears.
I know the hairdresser felt awful, she charged me £25 less than normal, and babbled on about complete shit for 2 hours. 😓

ratherbeshowjumping · 31/01/2019 20:24

In the worst mood.
Really sharp AF pains on my left side (so 2dpo & I'm convinced I'm out this month). DH & I have had yet another argument. And I'm guessing yet another of my really good friends is pregnant having expressed interest in this... ffs 😩

ratherbeshowjumping · 31/01/2019 18:23

Twittle that's dreadful.
Are you able to book one in privately for the weekend?
I'm sure all is ok, especially if you've stopped bleeding, but just for some reassurance. Will you be ok for tomorrow? I bet that's the last thing you feel like doing xx

TwittleBee · 31/01/2019 18:20

Nope no scan! They've got me booked in for Tuesday so I have to wait till then as they're too busy until then!

Bleeding seems to have stopped now but I know from last time that doesn't mean anything Sad

Dr tried telling me that if the bleeding is slowing down then I'm not miscarrying. When I told her about the MMC she just winced and changed subject!

Feel awful, head is pounding, neck is so stiff and been sick quite a bit. Luckily have family that have been helping out

BettySwoll0cks · 31/01/2019 18:11

Ffs. How are you feeling? Bleeding still stopped? A big hug x

Frazzlerock · 31/01/2019 17:38

Not even a scan!?

Total lack of compassion today

TwittleBee · 31/01/2019 17:02

So I've been discharged. They said they still weren't happy with my heart rate being so high (120bpm) but they can't keep me in just for that. They said if I am miscarrying they can't do anything to stop it anyway and are really busy so can't offer any management till next week.

BettySwoll0cks · 31/01/2019 16:52

I draw the line at rootling around for my cervix.
