So sorry to jump straight in without catching up. DS has the flu so he is proper poorly and taking up most of my time, poor thing.

But I've just had some red spotting and I couldn't resist sticking my fingers up there as my cervix had dropped (like literally only have to put in half a finger to fill it!) and is open. This is how last MC started. Although my body kept it for ages, my cervix had proper dropped and opened with the spotting Sad idk what to do. I can't find my EPU number online and my MW is away.

tigsyboo · 24/02/2019 08:13

@Pegase stop worrying about us on here hun
We all know the score with each other.
We know we all all happy for those that make it quickly but are here for those that have blows and falls too.... we all know our aim on here is to have a baby, and we are either all going through or have been through hell to get there. We will all get there. It's not like the 'outside world' where pregnancy announcements hurt beyond belief....
I hope I'm not speaking out of turn here , but we are here for each other through the good and the bad xx

Pegase · 24/02/2019 00:08

Sorry in case anyone feels bad - as ever all pg announcements on this thread are welcomed as we all know too well the alternative outcome and also need lots of good luck on our thread!

tigsyboo · 23/02/2019 23:27

I completely understand @Pegase
I walked into my friends house a week after my erpc (she didn't know) to find that they were making baby shower favours for her sisters baby shower - and I had to sit and help because - well - what the fuck else could I do!! I faked a 'must dash' text after an hour and cried the whole way home.
Vent away!!! I know that feeling xxx

Pegase · 23/02/2019 23:19

Thanks @tigsyboo btw- needed to vent as have had to hold this in all evening!

Pegase · 23/02/2019 23:18

Yeah true I never would have thought of it either before. I actually am happy for them but just could have done with not finding out tonight, the day after a mc scan. With mc 1, I was hit with a pg announcement the same day! Would just like the universe to be a bit kinder in its timing!

tigsyboo · 23/02/2019 23:11

Oh no @Pegase that must have been awful!!
Sending you massive hugs!!

I think if anything I've learnt how sensitive pregnancy is as a subject... I would have been one of those making cherry announcements without a care in the world before I lost my baby... but since then you take a step back and realise your pregnancy announcements don't make everyone happy and I think I'm much much more sensitive to that now x

Pegase · 23/02/2019 22:52

Soooo what I didn't need, when I decided to meet up with a group of really old friends to cheer me up tonight, was to be hit with two pregnancy announcements. One due the exact time baby from mc1 would have been due and one due this autumn. Literally thought I was going to throw up/cry/both. Oh my god!

ratherbeshowjumping · 23/02/2019 17:21

It is knackering @edidxb and when you're tired like that, it's only natural to want your own home etc. Glad you're back now.

Hopefully it's something to do with the time change @Kinsters... that's awful regarding the language are you likely to move back to the UK in the future? It must be awful to have absolutely no idea what they're saying with no effort to involve you.

Sorry you have to go through that too @Buggles1 🙁

We are currently sat on the runway in Gran Canaria. Our flight was an hour late to take off... and we were diverted here 4 hours in as a lady became unwell on board. So paramedics currently taking her off the plane.
First flashing smiley on the cb advanced opks this morning so hopefully we can dtd over the next few days as we certainly won't be doing it today 🙈

Buggles1 · 23/02/2019 16:28

@Kinsters... I know how you feel re the language. My husband is from India and when we meet up with his friends they tend to start in English but revert to Hindi once drunk. I’m totally lost by that point tend to revert to my mobile for company... which I’m then told is rude?!?!? Honestly!!!

Buggles1 · 23/02/2019 16:25

So I’ve just found out my younger sister is pregnant for the first time. She’s due in July, when I should have been. If that wasn’t bad enough, her bf is a total bastard. He actually went off and slept with someone else when she bought a house without him over a year ago. That woman then had a kid which he had a dna test to prove wasn’t actually his. All the time he knew that woman was pregnant he was trying to get my sister up the duff so she wouldn’t be able to get away from him once she found out.
I know I’ve had my bfp but I feel even more pressure for this one to work out now. If it doesn’t I’m really worried I won’t be able to go see her and torture myself like that. I feel sick.

Kinsters · 23/02/2019 15:27

Finally DH gets an idea of what I put up with at work everyday!! We went out to a colleagues wedding dinner so he got to see how everyone ignores me and just speaks Mandarin, answers my attempts at conversation with one word, etc. He said they weren't really saying much in Mandarin and he thinks they're just boring people in general rather than just saving their interesting conversation for when they speak Chinese. I felt he sometimes didn't really believe how awful I find my work because his workplace isn't like that at all, but now he gets it!

Kinsters · 23/02/2019 11:56

No photo and now it's in the bin. I expected a couple of days of low temps like I had going the other way a couple of days high but it's lasted a bit long to be jet lag.

edi is there a time diff? I found early pregnancy felt like jetlag so combining the two would be awful!

Rose68 · 23/02/2019 10:35

@Edidxb it’s knackering being pregnant, and travelling in the early stages of pregnancy is really hard work. I hope you are okay x

Rose68 · 23/02/2019 10:33

@Kinsters do you have a photo of your opk? I thought you said your temps would be lower because of the travelling? x

edidxb · 23/02/2019 07:34

Hi all.
Just been catching up. So sorry @pegase. I hope Tuesday comes round quickly for you.
The 1st my I had they never even mentioned a surgical procedure to me. Just told me to go away and wait. I was at 10 weeks but had died at 8 and a half. It then took another week until I had to go to hospital in an ambulance at 10pm screaming in agony. It was the most traumatic thing I ever went through. The 2nd time I went into hospital the next day.

I am no home after a week away. We went to South Africa which is a good 10 hour plane journey from Dubai. This is the holiday we had the argument about which was booked before the BFP. So DH did some wine tasting and I did the driving. I don't want to sound ungrateful here at all and I totally appreciate being able to fly to South Africa for a week but if I am honest I would have rather had a week off at home. It's such a stupid thing to argue about but most of DH and mine arguments are about holidays! I am much more of a home body. But thankfully we got back home at 3am this morning and I still have today off work before the week starts again next week and it's another half term to get through!!!
Anyway, enough of the woe is me chat.
I've tried to keep up with the news briefly whilst away but hope everyone is generally ok xxx

Kinsters · 23/02/2019 02:32

I don't think I ovulated and now I'm second guessing whether my OPK was positive or not. I normally ovulate CD14 at the latest so after last months long luteal phase it seems like my whole cycle is lengthening. Hopefully when the egg does come out it's a good one!

Thinking of you Pegase Flowers

Just catching up, been such a manic day,
@Pegase I'm so, so, so sorry to hear your news. Everyone else seems much more qualified to give you better advice than I can, but just know I'm thinking of you. Sending lots of love to you & DH xxxx

Pegase · 22/02/2019 17:13

No tests as 'only' my second mc. Am making sure I register each pregnancy for booking in etc with the hospital so there is 'proof' of my mcs if I get to the recurrent mc testing stage.

Rose68 · 22/02/2019 17:10

2.5 weeks must have been hell, I remember you going through it @Twittlebee, and I still can’t believe you had to go through that.
I told them I wanted it done as soon as possible, preferably that day, but I only had to wait until the next day, which was long enough. Having said that I did find out at a private scan that our baby wasn’t viable and that was on the Friday and I had to wait until the Monday to get seen by the epu, so I still had a 4 day wait.

@Pegase will you have any testing done this time? Sending you much love and hugs x

Buggles1 · 22/02/2019 16:53

Sorry to hear your news @pegase. Sending you hugs.
The NHS is a great concept but the reality always seems to be pretty shit. I could have had ERPC the day after the scan but... because they made me ‘go home to think about things’ (even though I told them what I wanted then and there) and call them back later that day... I lost the slot and had to wait a further 3 days. This meant I started to naturally mc which was absolutely awful and totally unnecessary.
I’m also annoyed with the ‘having to wait for three babies to die’ approach they take before getting any answers (especially as you age and your chances are diminishing anyhow).

BettySwoll0cks · 22/02/2019 13:49

So sorry @Pegase. From my experience it's not worth waiting any longer than you have to. With both my losses that I've needed treatment for, a tiny fetal pole has developed during the wait for that second scan and they have refused to manage the end of the pregnancy until it 'died' by itself (I'm so sorry to put it that way, I can't think of any other way to say it) They called it questionable viability - although we all knew it was too little growth too late - and hospital protocols won't allow them to do medical or surgical management while there's a heartbeat 😔

InDreamland · 22/02/2019 13:43

Oh @Pegase Flowers I'm so sorry you're going through this. There are no words to describe how shit this is. Flowers

Pegase · 22/02/2019 11:51

2.5 weeks! I would have no mental health left by then!

I am joining the temping crew when things back to normal- had ordered a thermometer already by the time by BFP came so that will give me something new to worry about!!!!

tigsyboo · 22/02/2019 11:03

I waited 4 days but would have been longer but I kicked off x
