Fingers crossed for Tue @Pegase

Sorry to hear of AF @Frazzle and Betty. I wish I could suggest something to try next time but you’re both already way ahead of me regarding all the charting etc.

I still feel like I’m just waiting for the day I mc. I decided to try and be more upbeat last night and look for positive stories of pregnancy for the over 40s. I was pleasantly surprised by how many I found. I’m still not sure I feel any better though! Ah well... another week of work ahead... enjoy everyone!

BettySwoll0cks · 18/02/2019 06:14

A big hug @Frazzlerock that sucks 😔

I just woke up having soaked the bedsheets (day 1 of AF). I've never done that in my life before, it's literally pouring out. What on earth is wrong with my body? 1st period after the mc was fairly light all things considered.

tigsyboo · 17/02/2019 23:06

Oh no @Frazzlerock that sucks 😓

Frazzlerock · 17/02/2019 22:37

@Pegase I hope all will be well for you. You really need to rest up xx

Well as 100% expected, although slightly early, AF has arrived. So that's shit.
I knew right from ovulation it was doomed so I need to get over myself really.

Roll on the next 2/3/4/15/100 (whichever) weeks for ovulation then l. Can't wait to see the next curveball my shitty body throws

Really hope all will be okay Pegase

tigsyboo · 17/02/2019 18:17

Fingers crossed for you @Pegase glad to hear it's not looking negative xx

Pegase · 17/02/2019 18:10

Am still here - just been on a school trip for the past few days. Which much to my relief was not ruined by a dramatic miscarriage. Still spotting every day but at pink/brown level (sorry TMI) rather than pure red so some hope still I think. Although it always starts that way of course. Hoping to get seen at EPU on Tues when I have childcare.

tigsyboo · 17/02/2019 15:46

Sounds like a bargain Betty
I'm slowly losing patience with the thermometer
Has anyone heard how @Pegase is doing?? Xx

TwittleBee · 17/02/2019 15:28

Hope you find it worth the spend Betty ! Tbf it does sound like it be a lot easier using one of them rather than relying on BBT thermometer each morning. Glad you had a lovely birthday too. Belated birthday wishes xx

BettySwoll0cks · 17/02/2019 14:45

Oh well, just ordered one. Add another £65 to the fortune I've already spent on ttc!

Frazzlerock · 17/02/2019 12:26

@Betty yes it is pricey.
It is £79 for the device and first month subscription, but there is ALWAYS a 20%off code. I got 20% off then an bit of extra money off thing with the Honey Chrome extension.

I now pay the £20 a month which I know is pricey but I trust it more than bbt. I think bbt can be jeopardised by so many outside factors such as, is your mouth shut the whole time, making sure you take it at the same time, lying there with a thermometer in your mouth without any disturbances, etc.
Ovusense isn't affected by anything. So long as you have had four hours sleep. You can even take it out and not sync for up to two hours. Also doesn't have to be taken at the same time every day. So if you have a lie in at the weekend, or wake silly early, it doesn't matter.
I think the price is worth it. You can make it cheaper by paying outright for an annual subscription if you prefer. But I didn't like to think I'd need it for a year. But it's looking like I might do so almost thinking I should have done that to start with.

Thanks for the birthday wishes ladies! Had a v nice day, thank you. Cake x2 and a glass of delicious champagne and some lovely family time.

AF started this morning. A bit early and a bit watery which is weird (and probably tmi, sorry) but it's the start of a new cycle which always gives me a renewed positivity (weirdly). I'm considering Ovusense myself now because my BBTs can't be trusted (lack of a decent stretch of sleep in this house). Is it v pricey?

tigsyboo · 17/02/2019 11:46

I'm 10 dpo

You do do it as soon as you wake up, but it looked so high I thought I'd try again and it had dropped significantly. Perhaps I was tossing and turning with my cold and didn't realise?

I know on my pregnancy cycle I had implantation bleeding that showed it's self after sex on what must have been 9-10dpo ( I didn't know it was that at the time- I thought I was coming on early)
DTD this morning and no bleeding at all so I don't think this is my month x

ratherbeshowjumping · 17/02/2019 11:38

@tigsyboo I thought you did it as soon as you woke up - that looks like a really positive sign to me. How many dpo are you?

Hugs @Frazzlerock that's really shit. No idea how to bring forward ovulation either 😕 sorry I can't be more helpful x

I know exactly what you mean @Rose68, I'm only little too so even 2-3 pounds extra on me makes me feel huge.

Perhaps it is one of the supplements?

Rose68 · 17/02/2019 10:48

Happy birthday for yesterday Betty!

@Frazzle I’m not sure about the running thing, I assumed it’s because it puts your body under a fair amount of stress. I am slowly going to get back into it now too.

I weighed myself yesterday, I knew I had put on weight, but I wasn’t prepared for having put on 5 pounds! I am quite short so that is a lot of weight to put on. It doesn’t make any sense with the healthy diet, I’m wondering if it’s one of the supplements I’m taking. 😩

Frazzlerock · 17/02/2019 10:43

@tigsy I don't know how reliable basal body temps are tbh. That's why I use Ovusense as it takes core body temp recordings every 5 minutes throughout the night.

Don't you have to go with the temp as you wake up for BBT? Not take it minutes or hours later?

I'm back from my run and burst into tears in the shower.
This whole thing is a sack of shit quite frankly

How can I try and bring ovulation forward?
I don't think I can bear to wait another 4 weeks to ovulate 😢

tigsyboo · 17/02/2019 09:23

Just done my temp again (still in bed but been awake and talking, on phone etc for 2 hours) and temp dropped to 36.65?!?! Wondering if 37.1 was a dud temp??

tigsyboo · 17/02/2019 08:51

Should read - 'don't feel Ill as such - just a bit of a cold'

tigsyboo · 17/02/2019 08:50

Hey frazzle
I fucking hate running 😂
I'm a bit bunged up this morning, just feel I'll as such just a bit of a cold.... don't know if that's why I've had a massive temp spike this morning?? No symptoms it could be anything positive so just putting it down to that anyway 🤷🏼‍♀️

Frazzlerock · 17/02/2019 08:37

Had a big temp drop this morning after a couple of tease days.
I knew it was hopeless and had thought I had made peace with it but I guess there's no pretending that deep down we always have that tiny weeny minuscule bit of hope.
I'm going for a run this morning with DP.
First run I'll have done since before I was pregnant last time so fuck know how I'll do.

@Rose I know you have said before that running isn't great for TTC but do you know why? I'd like to get back into it now the weather is better but I don't want to jeopardise my already shit chances of conceiving.

@tigsy I'll be buying a load of pink grapefruit juice today. How are you getting on with your TWW? I know you're only a day or two behind me...

Right, I'm going to go ad keep myself occupied else I'll burst into tears.
Now, where's my running gear....

Yes @tigsy!

@rather that sounds like a lovely afternoon.

InDreamland · 16/02/2019 21:40

@Frazzlerock @Rose68 I use the CB digital OPKs that show high fertility (flashing smiley) before peak fertility (static smiley). The static smiley means ov will happen within 48 hours. If you get 9 days of flashing/high then it's unlikely you'll get peak so possible not ov that month. I normally get a flashing smiley on CD14. CD15 was the latest day I'd got one.

Thankfully I did get my static smiley on Thursday night before I went to bed so been BD'ing as much as possible.

@Betty HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Sorry you got a BFN but you're not out until AF shows. It could still be too early to test. Hope you have had a lovely day x

ratherbeshowjumping · 16/02/2019 16:08

Sounds like a lovely day @BettySwoll0cks hope it's been nice 🎉
Sorry about your bfns though, I hope it's not put a dampener on your day...

Lucky you @Frazzlerock that's very kind of your mum 😘 hope you've had a nice day chilling.

Yesssss @tigsyboo 👏🏼

I'm still not able to go out competing due to the equine flu so have just got back from a 3hr trek all through the woods with my horse. We are both shattered now but it was really nice (& therapeutic too!).
