@laney79 deff keep testing through this stage as it will help close the window of ovulation.

Yes avoid the 18th, we’ll help you through :) xx

So long as people are happy to see my updates I’ll keep you posted but don’t want to upset anyone either, it’s a rough road x

Laney79 · 04/02/2019 19:55

@Yukka so pleased all is going ok for you. Gives me hope! Do keep us up to date with how you get on?

Really hoping this is our month. Although I need to avoid testing on the 18th. That's the date I got my first ever positive, and it wouldn't feel right testing then.

Done a few cheapy opks today (morning, 1330, and 1800) and all showing positive. Didn't do any yesterday so not sure when my peak began. Just hoping sat/sun was enough just in case tomorrow doesnt happen x

Yukka · 04/02/2019 19:36

Im good thanks @laney79. Bit weird now as most symptoms have gone but that’s part of the second trimester. 15.1 today. I have an appointment with obstetric specialist this Wednesday, I don’t know if she’ll scan, they don’t really say what each appointment is for. And I have midwife 16w appt next week. So just having a lot of faith and staying positive. As sad as it is with my history I know if something’s not right my body will deal with it pretty quickly which I’m actually grateful for.

I’ve got a little bump. 2 people at work commented today that I’m showing already, but as I say it still doesn’t really feel real, but I’m confident it will as each week passes x

Laney79 · 04/02/2019 19:25

@Yukka yeah-can be a little difficult at times. No dtd tonight, but I might see if we can try again tomorrow...either way if I'm ovulating tonight/tomorrow the weekend escapades should have us covered (I hope!). Really hope this is our month. I didn't know it yet but this time last year I was pregnant with our first little bean. How are you anyway? When's your next scan? X

Yukka · 04/02/2019 19:06

@laney79 you are! Got everything crossed for you. Maybe see if you can squeeze in one more dtd for good luck :)though I know it can be difficult x

@frillyfarmer glad you’re booked in. Let’s us know what they say. It’s hard but hoping it’s good news for you x

user1474623337 · 04/02/2019 18:34

@lilimum6 thank you xx I got my period today pretty much as it would be due after mc so that's good .... Going to do ovulation tests this month I think to see what's going on ... Fingers crossed xx

Good luck everyone

MummyG82 · 04/02/2019 18:32

Hi all,
Just marking my place on this new thread.

Me MummyG82, 37 next week.
MC natural loss in 2008, 10 weeks.
DS 2013, easy conception & pregnancy (very lucky and blessed)
MMC surgical removal end December 2018, found out at 12 week scan.
Now TTC. Fingers crossed for 2019 rainbow 🌈 XX

Thought I'd had a partial molar pregnancy but after tests it's has been confirmed as MMC. Just had my first period since, so DH n I are straight back on to TTC. AF was lighter and shorter than expected but I'm guessing this is because of the surgical erpc but at least I now have a date to go by when we are successful 🤞.

Sorry for everyone's losses, here's hoping we all get our rainbows 🌈 soon. And good luck to everyone currently carrying their rainbows 🌈. I have everything crossed for you all.

Welcome to all the newbies, I have found this thread very helpful so hope you will too. Xx

Laney79 · 04/02/2019 15:00

@frillyfarmer hugs. Will be thinking of you and hoping for good news xx

frillyfarmer · 04/02/2019 14:33

Scan booked for tomorrow morning. I'm not feeling quite so optimistic today, very anxious! Hoping everyone else is having a better Monday xx

Laney79 · 04/02/2019 07:31

@frillyfarmer that sounds hopeful. Fingers crossed the epau get that scan sorted ASAP so you can find out what's happening.

CD11 for me and already a peak fertility on my clear blue opk, so I assume I'll ovulate tomorrow. We DTD sat and sun so hopefully timing is good. Ovulating a bit earlier than I was expecting (on the limited data I have since tracking and in between mc's I usually ov on cd14/15 with positive opks cd13/14) so hoping this isn't something else to worry about! Trying to stay positive though. @Yukka maybe I'm following your pattern! X

Yukka · 03/02/2019 21:53

@frillyfarmer oh fingers crossed that sounds good Hun x

Lilimum6 · 03/02/2019 21:43

@frillyfarmer that encouraging hun. Hope your scan goes well. The first few weeks do a number on your energy levels don't they lol. Sending you lots of sticky baby glue xx

Good evening ladies, hope everyone has had a nice weekend.

Spotting has stopped and I've had some quite strong symptoms- food aversions and generally feeling sick.

Hopefully EPU will call me tomorrow and arrange a scan, Sod's law it will be a day that I'm working this week 😬

Been at a children's birthday party all day with my 16month and I feel on the verge of a heart attack 😂

Lilimum6 · 03/02/2019 21:40

@user1474623337 hello and welcome to the huddle 🐧, so sorry for loss hun. Know your not alone and we are here for you. I hope this group can help you though this horrible time.
As to ttc fingers crossed 🤞 for you. Yes it can mess your periods up for a bit and they may not be the same as before you were pregnant. Baby dust to you x

Hi everyone ... I'm ttc after a miscarriage early Jan .... If I follow my normal cycle my period is due today but know it can take a while to get back to normal after mc .... We decided to just keep going so I guess only way to know is to test but I an going to hold out a while longer before I test and don't hold much hope for this cycle anyway

Good luck all xx

Laney79 · 03/02/2019 21:12

Thanks @strawberrye @Yukka @frillyfarmer fingers crossed I don't get it! X

strawberrye · 03/02/2019 12:42

@Yukka no problem, it's a common misconception but I learned a lot about it after having shingles a while ago Smile

Yukka · 03/02/2019 12:13

Thanks @strawberrye x

strawberrye · 03/02/2019 12:03

@Yukka that's not entirely true - you have to have had chickenpox (whether it was remembered or not) in order to have shingles.

@Laney79 the incubation period for chickenpox or time between being exposed and developing the rash is around 2 weeks, and usually people are unwell with fever for several days beforehand. I'd say if you are feeling well for the next few days it'll be extremely unlikely that you will develop it

Yukka · 03/02/2019 10:33

@laney79 interestingly at my last blood check they confirmed ive never had it and therefore not immune - mum couldn’t remember either. Their advice was that having bypassed it for 40 yrs I’ll probs be fine but if I were to come into contact and feel worried there is a safe antiviral that they can prescribe. If you feel unwell go to gp and they would prob treat you as if you are pregnant just in case. At your age it would come out as Shingles rather than CP I think x

frillyfarmer · 03/02/2019 08:15

@Laney79 I had a chicken pox scare with DS. The actual risk is fairly low I think, and before 26(?) weeks it is a risk to the mother rather than the baby, they monitored me for pneumonia iirc.

Laney79 · 03/02/2019 08:03

Ok very random question...TTC and chicken pox!

Last Sunday I went to see my friends and their kids, including their 4 week old daughter. I had lots of lovely cuddles...but yesterday she started with chicken pox!

My mom can't remember if I had it as a child so I've no idea if I'm immune and obv we are TTC (cd10 and at high fertility expecting to ovulate weds/thurs). Now beginning to worry that if we do conceive and I've caught it it will do damage...anyone have any experience? Should I be worried? Xxx

frillyfarmer · 02/02/2019 21:42

@Lilimum6 do you GP have a triage service? When I was confused about my ectopic I just asked to be put on the triage list for the doctor to call back and asked him to talk me through my notes because I didn't understand what had happened at EPU and he was amazing.

It's so awful that they dealt with things so badly. Also I just don't think it's appropriate for pregnant nurses to be working in EPU dealing with pregnancy losses - it's too much.

frillyfarmer · 02/02/2019 21:38

@Lilimum6 thanks for asking. I'm ok, still spotting, EPU can't scan me without a GP referral, so by the time we're done it will be the middle of next week... I'm still spotting.

I managed to take my mind off things by scraping my new car 👌🏼 Honestly, I'm usually such a level headed person but my anxiety is just through the roof this weekend.
