Starting to gear up & hoping this will be a positive month! Anyone else in same cycle week as me?

I've only got 1 first step left. Trying to tell my self I don't need to do it 9dpo. And I've just had some clear blue tests arrive with my shopping delivery. I'm trying not to stock pile too much or I'll just end up wasting them 🤦🏼‍♀️. X

WildFlower2019 · 04/02/2019 12:04

They're also 10ml miu so very sensitive. FRER detect around 6.5 (apparently, they don't give out the sensitivity of their tests).

To answer your question which I totally missed! I got 30 for around £5 with free delivery... sadly not next day! I think I'll get them tomorrow or weds.

WildFlower2019 · 04/02/2019 12:01

@Explorers10 they're by One Step and apparently they're used by the NHS too. The company that sells them is called Home Health UK and they seem pretty well established/legit. They have a website that says they're approved by the National Pharmacy Association and are a registered Pharmacy. I buy through them through eBay/Amazon.

I get my FRERs from Amazon. I get a pack of 4 FRERS and 2 ICs for £14 including next day delivery (amazon prime). I think that's good value as they're £10 for just two tests on the Boots website.

@wildflower2019

What brand are the ICs? Are they really cheap? I know it’s the constant thinking and googling and trying to stay positive until AF comes!

WildFlower2019 · 04/02/2019 11:34

Thanks @Explorers10. I’m fine thank you, just a bit resigned to the fact it probably hasn’t worked this month. Oh well…. Thank you for keeping your FX for me! I’m still hoping it’s implantation bleeding, but I think it’s more likely to be spotting for AF.

@HMIB I will probably retest hourly when my ICs get delivered, hahaha….

I always say that next month, I’m not going to test early and the same as Explorers - BFN gets me in a bad mood. I’m obsessed, constantly working out reasons why it could be a false negative… could I still be implanting, maybe my HCG levels aren’t high enough yet. Looking at charts on how they double after implantation etc. It’s insane.

I really ought to just bloody wait but I honestly don’t have the self control!!! Doesn’t help that I’m self employed so I can spend all day Googling eeek…. NOT GOOD!

Explorers10 · 04/02/2019 11:20

@wildflower2019

Got my fingers crossed for you that it’s too early & to see if your AF arrives. hope you are ok!

Explorers10 · 04/02/2019 11:04

I don’t think I can handle seeing a BFN if I do a test as I end up being in a bad mood and then keep thinking perhaps the test is wrong and then I’m in an even worse mood when AF comes! Tempted though as just want to know!

So who's testing/re testing in the next couple days?!

So I'm due to test on Thursday at 10dpo but I've already started to think about testing on the Wednesday. But don't want to be bummed out if it's negative. So gonna try and hold on till Thursday! Gonna need a lot of will power 😂. X

WildFlower2019 · 04/02/2019 08:24

Thanks @CaramelCluster me too!

Your plan sounds sensible x

WildFlower2019 · 04/02/2019 08:21

Ohh that sucks @Chanel05 hopefully you and @veeboo @mussie will stick around for your next cycle. I think I'll be here too as I'm getting cramps now so pretty certain AF will start in a day or two xX

CaramelCluster · 04/02/2019 08:19

@WildFlower2019 that could still be an early test so I've got my 🤞🏽 for you that it's implantation!

AF is due next week Monday, but I may do an IC at 12dpo if anything, I feel that's a safe time to test. I'm 9dpo at the moment so not long to wait 😄

Chanel05 · 04/02/2019 08:08

Sorry about the bfn @WildFlower2019

Just had a bit of blood as I walked out the door to work so feel like af will be here in full force later today. On to cycle 8 I go.

WildFlower2019 · 04/02/2019 07:46

BFN again this morning on a FRER @ 11DPO. I really do think I'm out.

Also had a little spotting this morning, everything is crossed hoping it's an implantation bleed but I think it's the start of my period. I had about 3 days of spotting before it last month. I'm on Day 27 of my cycle and they can range from 27-31 days. So it'll be that.

if it is BFN I'll stick around for the next FW. I hope everyone else does too!

Anybody else testing today? xx

Chanel05 · 03/02/2019 19:54

@veeboo sorry that the witch got you. Baby dust for next cycle. 12 days is fine I believe. Mine ranges between 11-14 days for lp.

abcriskringle · 03/02/2019 18:29

@CaramelCluster no problem! Fingers crossed your symptoms are a positive sign! Xx

CaramelCluster · 03/02/2019 17:17

@KatnissKringle doesn't sound stupid at all! It's nice to hear about actual women going through/have gone through it.

I have symptoms but they are those I usually get with PMS so I think mine is down to the rise in progesterone. So slight cramping in the lower abdomen area (TMI but think it's down to constipation more than anything) and getting hot flashes here and there. Boobs get tender a few days before AF but will see if it's any more tender than usual when the time comes. Only 7/8dpo so early days yet. Insightful though thanks hun! Xx

abcriskringle · 03/02/2019 17:07

@CaramelCluster with my first I had such painful boobs. I do get this as a sign AF will arrive soon BUT they were so so sore, I can't even tell you! And this was a week before my period was due so really odd as I generally only get PMS symptoms a day or two before. I also just knew I was pregnant. I know that sounds stupid and is easy to say in retrospect etc. but I did. The first test I did was bfn and I told DH it was a dud. Researched the best test - found mumsnet and got myself an early response that was a (faint) positive the next day. I believe I was 12dpo. Line got darker over the next few days and a digital confirmed pregnant 1-2 weeks at about 15dpo. So yeah - boobs and a 'gut feeling' for me! Are you getting symptoms?

CaramelCluster · 03/02/2019 16:58

So...I'm new to this game of chance and hopefully the experience mamas out there can help: is symptoms before AF true for you? I've been reading a bit on it today (google is baaad) and I hear mixed reviews about it being all a myth. What are your experiences if you've had children and had symptoms before AF is due?

CaramelCluster · 03/02/2019 16:55

Ah sorry @veeboo hopefully next month brings you all the luck!
12dpo is fine I've read - between 12-17 is normal. 10 or below can be difficult.

veeboo · 03/02/2019 16:29

I spoke too soon. AF has arrived. At least I roughly know my luteal window now it's been 12dpo for two months now. Is that too short?

HMIB · 03/02/2019 15:44

@Explorers10 I haven't got any FRER's yet. I've got 2 clear blue and 2 Sainsbury's cheap ones. So I'll probably use the non digital clear blue first. As that also gave me a positive at 9dpo last time. Then if i do get a BFP I'll go out and get some FRER's to test the next day! 🤞🏻. And yes way too early to test. I'm going crazy though. Gonna be the longest 3 days 😂😂. X

Explorers10 · 03/02/2019 14:46

@HMIB

Are you going to use FRER on Thursday? Thanks for letting me know your experience. It would be way to early to test today right at 6 dpo as we both ovulated same day?

OP posts:
Explorers10 · 03/02/2019 14:39

@wildflower2019

That’s what I thought! I would be due my AF on fri 8th and thought I would ovulate on thurs 24th jan but I didn’t ovulate til mon 28th. so 6 days to test early on FRER before fri 8th is today but if I didn’t ovulate til mon 28th so I’m only 6 dpo so seems to early to test! I think my AF will be 4 days late this month if I ovulated later. The wait is killing me!

Thanks to all who said to find FRER at boots. Looked in there yesterday and they have 3 for 2 on all pregnancy and ovulation tests. Was tempted to buy a test but not done so yet!

@WildFlower2019 fingers crossed or you too.

I had a dream the other night that someone was opening all my cupboards and drawers and pregnancy tests were falling out all over the place and I was trying to justify why I had so many :) had a lots of weird vivid dreams the last few days... An ovulation sign maybe...

I actually only have one test in the house and hoping to wait until I am SURE it will be a BFP. I always say this then test way too early haha!
