anyone due to be ovulating week starting 21st Jan?

Starting to gear up & hoping this will be a positive month! Anyone else in same cycle week as me?

Thanks for your replies. Interesting to say you stop breastfeeding. I’m not breastfeeding. My girl is 2 & half. I’ve just turned 34 so wonder if my age is a factor. Not got much symptoms apart from no show of AF yet plus sore nipples. Going to wait until Monday to test.

@Explorers10 I dtd every day for 9 days! As I didn't ovulate when I thought I was going to so I just made sure we had some fun every day!

Also checking your cervix can give you a good indication on what's happening. It should be closed but still quite low down. Like firm pursed lips.

And like @KatnissKringle said this Is my first full cycle of not breastfeeding. Even if my cycles have come back but I'm still feeding my body just doesn't get pregnant. As this Is the second time I've got pregnant immediately after stopping feeding!

Do you have many symptoms. Are you definitely going to hold out until Monday?! X

Um we dtd every other day from the week before I expected ovulation. Then the day of +ve opk and the day after.

I think the main difference for me was this is my first full cycle of no breastfeeding. I also took folic acid everyday and drank a glass of milk as I read that it can encourage ovulation! But nothing that major tbh.

@WildFlower2019 haha could possibly be indeed, and it's the first month of Spring, many good things happen in March 😉. Sorry to hear about AF being an absolute bitch yesterday. Hope she gets lost soon and you can try again.

Poor you with AF, I bet you can’t wait till it’s all over then you can try again.

AF was due today but I ovulated 4 days late so I’m expecting AF on tues. Its going to be such a tough weekend holding out. I reckon I’m out though as not feeling very positive at all

My period has been really heavy and painful today urghhhh. Always such a lovely bonus on top of not being pregnant. Isn’t being a woman great?

Congratulations @HMIB and @Ster2019!!
My line is getting lovely and dark - did another test this morning and will do a digital tomorrow or Sunday (depending on when they get delivered). I really really hope this is a sticky one! I'm so worried every time I go to the loo!
So sorry to those who missed out this month - TTC sucks when it takes ages. Have a large glass of wine and good luck to everyone next cycle!
I'll keep my fingers tightly crossed for sticky beans for all xx

Oh @wildflower are you out for sure? I’m sorry to hear that. AF didn’t arrive today as scheduled so I’m going to sleep with my fingers crossed! Going to test in the morning, husband is super excited, trying to calm him down and downplay it, but.... ok off to sleep now Smile

Thank you Wildflower2019 Smile I'm up to date with my smears and I do suffer with Anxiety so of course my brain always goes to worst case scenario! Blush

I will call my GP if AF arrives and just get checked, it can't hurt can it.

I've had cramps and backache since the 5th! I've never had anything like the discharge before so it was abit of shock. All the dates add up too. Not trying to get too excited!

@GirlGang It certainly could be, if my maths is right you would have been 9 days post ovulation and that is the most common day to implant. It could be an implantation bleed. Especially if you've not had any bleeding since and you do turn out to be pregnant.

But we're not the experts i think if you're worried, it really is best to speak to a doctor or nurse.

This guide from my period tracking app is worth a quick read: helloclue.com/articles/cycle-a-z/what-is-spotting as you will see, spotting USED to be an indicator for cervical cancer but with smear tests, the rates have dropped. But it can be signs of other curable things like hormone imbalances and polyps etc. This goes for anybody reading... If you are overdue a smear test, make sure you book it tomorrow!!! They're free and they save lives Smile
