Hi @Plabom. That's rough you've been TTC for so long - hopefully you won't need the clinic at all though! You hear plenty of stories of people conceiving as soon as they get their clinic appt through 😂 the magic of Sod's law.

@2018isanewyear don't worry about it, for most women the surge is short enough that just the one positive is enough. The only reason I keep going afterwards is because I had a really wacky cycle in November - I had a positive OPK and then still hadn't had a temp rise 3 days later, so did another OPK and it was negative, and then the temp rise came the day after that. So I'll never figure out exactly what happened there, but it must have just been a super long surge, triggered by stress maybe? Have had long surges since then, so I'm getting used to it.

I have a short luteal phase so will test the day AF is due, which will be about 9dpo. Can't wait to crack out the FRERs! I have a good feeling about this cycle too

@Plabom we're only 11months in from mc so there is time for me to become an addict yet 😂

Have really achey boobs like realllly but I always do before Af and I know it's too early for pregnancy symptoms anyway... still I can hope 🙄

@2018isanewyear fingers crossed!! We perfectly timed BD this month if I did ovulate when I thought - and for some reason I'm feeling really positive!!

You have far more willpower than me to hold off testing. I symptom spot terribly & test from 10dpo. I really shouldn't have brought a batch load of tests!! It just enables the POAS addiction...

I think I'm 2dpo but I don't test until period is due so guess doesn't really matter. So far it's always arrived before I got a chance to (other than first failed
Pregancy)

@mussie oh no! As soon as I got the smiley I stopped testing as the packet said, in future I will do an extra day to be sure. 😳

Hi everyone! I think I ovulated 2 days ago so I'm around 1dpo. And here it begins! Cycle 20 for me, currently referred to the fertility clinic and waiting for our first appointment. DH has a low count. What DPO is everyone?

@Cinderella812 my DH has a low libido too. He's happy to go a few weeks without! I've had to be the proactive one and say 'right, come on, now is the best time ever' during my fertile week.

I also make a big effort before and after fertile week - only once or twice, but it's enough for him to feel not like he's being 'used' during the FW, if that makes sense.

This has helped loads and he's instigating sex a lot more, which is great. Definitely have a nice discussion with him (over a glass of wine?) and explain that you understand it's not the most romantic seduction to be like 'come on, let's make a baby' but there really is only one way to make a baby. Ask him what he thinks would work - notes on a calendar perhaps, or is he happy for you to say 'it's a great time!'

I wish I had been more assertive (some months I just didn't instigate at all during FW, hoping he would, so a few missed chances there) and I think when you haven't got time to lose, you have to be proactive. Good luck x

@2018isanewyear congrats on the positive OPK! I have understood it to mean that ovulation will occur in the next 12-36 hours, so I usually date from the day after the positive. I temp as well so that pinpoints a day for me, but if you're not temping then the day after a positive should be the most accurate estimate! The exception would be if it was a long surge, and you had positives two or three days in a row - I would date from the end of the surge rather than the beginning, IYSWIM

@mussie I don't understand the charts sorry as I don't tell but that looks very up and down! Anyone else got a smiley/+OPK yet? If I got mine Sunday how many dpo am I do I go of the smiley date or a couple of days later?

@mussie this is the first time it’s baffled me really 😂. I did a cheapie opk CD16 in the evening and it was quite strong but not positive as it was a 1hr hold and I’d had a lot of water so possibly it would have been +if I held it for longer. I did the digital in the morning with a high and not one in the evening (usually goes static in the evening I only had one clearblue left though so was saving it for the morning!) so I changed the Monday to a +opk with a cheapie on Monday and FF confirmed ovulation for Monday (I put a cheeky temp in for tomorrow to see 😂). I must be a mad woman 🙈😂.

@Chanel05 I can't interpret that chart at all! Hopefully someone else will be along soon who can. But I suppose the latest reading is the highest temp, so given the positive OPK, maybe you ovulated yesterday? But I guess you won't be able to confirm for a couple of days. If it heads back below 36.6 then I'd be totally confused! Have previous months looked like that or is this the first time?

@Cinderella812 sorry that your dh is not being too proactive. I agree with @2018isanewyear that you need to have a frank discussion that it won’t happen unless you actually have sex in fw plain and simple!

@Cinderella812 it's horrible when your not on the same page (even though he says he is) could you have a frank discussion and just say it's not going to work with this set up? Like you said it could, it does only take one time but would have to be very lucky!

It's so hard, the pressure can really take over

I think I am out of the running this month. FW is almost over and my husband is yet to "feel like" having sex with me. Despite all his words about wanting a baby, his low libido is making this incredibly difficult. I realise miracles can happen, but this would be an immaculate conception, so it's safe to say, I won't be getting my BFP for January.

I'm so fed up.

One last go tonight and can relax (yeh right) to be honest I try to tell my self I'm not.... I know that sounds silly but month after Month of disappointment it almost feels easier that way, horrible it's got like this! And even if I was would I even be excited? I was bad enough last time with no reason to think anything would go wrong, But now I know it does and can happen again I just feel full of worry!

@ChikiTIKI- I haven't had a positive opk yet and mine are varying hugely in line strength! But have had a ton of ewcm today so taking that as a positive sign. Maybe you ovulate later than you think?

I don't think I'm cut out for this OPK business!
Probably not DTD enough this month as I thought well I will know when to DTD because the OPKs will tell me!

@WildFlower2019 haha I know. It's just because I don't like to do them at work, so if I didn't do one first thing in the morning, I wouldn't get to do another until about 6pm, so could miss the surge. And I do know that it has to match to be positive! If testing falls on a day off, I test again later in the morning and it does confirm it's a positive. I did read around, and found that for some women FMU works fine. The rise is BBT always confirms as well, so it definitely works for me!

Oh but to answer your Q yes it does seem flooded, they all keep doing that. Even when I use my phone timer to double check I'm only holding it in for 10secs and making sure the urine goes nowhere near the line 🥴

@mussie I did dip it in a cup for 10-15 seconds and I'd left it for up to 10 minutes as suggested on the packet. You aren't supposed to use OPKs with FMU. It's not a pregnancy test, it's an OPK so it's only positive if the test line is as dark as the control 😊😊
