@cleozeta Sorry, missed your message. No I haven’t done any opks- wouldn’t even have occurred to me while af still happening! Not really sure what to do this month now

Gizmojo · 11/01/2019 18:09

@Taxgirl I hadn’t heard that... So I could be out already, potentially, as we haven’t dtd at all due to AF
I know what you mean about symptom spotting! I don’t have any advice I’m afraid - not great myself at not obsessing!

Cleozeta · 11/01/2019 17:33

Kj- cm is cervical mucus, check for changes that may indicate ovulation.

Presh - fingers crossed for you! Test again tomorrow?

Presh12345 · 11/01/2019 17:21

Still no AF and no symptoms of her coming either. Although have had a sore head for 2 days....don't know if this is a sign or not.

Kj1010 · 11/01/2019 17:17

No havent done any and what is cm? Sorry new to this x

Cleozeta · 11/01/2019 17:12

Taxgirl I am exactly the same! Currently 7dpo and anticipating af whilst still holding out hope. It would be lovely to just forget about it and carry on as normal. Or at least have an idea of when af may land and it not be stupidly early!
Rose - what is your usual lp length?
Kj - have you done any opk's? Ov could happen at any time after a mc, varies person by person. Keep an eye on an cm clues etc

Kj1010 · 11/01/2019 16:19

Hiya all i was on other thread i have #3 dc fell pregnant in november had mc on christmas day its nearly been three weeks since mc dtd around week ago have had a few period type pains have sore nipples getting heartburn every other day serioulsy tired this last week i dont know if there is a chance of another pregnacy as only done it the once havent had a period since mc i know they say 4-6 weeks after u usually get it just. not sure whats happening sorry if i sound stupid new to this lol also might be tmi bit feeling very frisky at moment could this be me ovulating i dont know any advice would be greatly appreciated Smile

Rose68 · 11/01/2019 14:55

Thank you @Taxgirl1. Sorry you are stressing a bit atm, are you taking dhea? Could it affect your cycles? How many dpo are you? I’m waiting to see if dhea is going to shorten my LP, but I’m 11 dpo now so it looks like it won’t be massively shorter.

Taxgirl1 · 11/01/2019 14:41

Also big hugs to you @rose68 and @whatcanihave

Taxgirl1 · 11/01/2019 13:43

@gizmojo hmmm I can't really help but I was reading something about as you get older it is quite possible that you might ovulate at the end of your period.

I am sending myself nuts trying to figure out whats happening to my body whilst clinging on to the possibility that I could be pg - in the two week window (or possible one week window as I may be about to get my period). What on earth do I do to stop obsessing. I'm conscious of every symptom, I'm studying every bit of toilet roll and keep grabbing my boobs to see if they feel bigger. Seriously I am going nuts....🤪🤦🏻‍♀️ help!!! 😂

Cleozeta · 11/01/2019 13:41

How strange gizmojo, did you do any opk's?

Rose68 · 11/01/2019 13:39

@whatcanihave we are exactly the same! I had a mc late November, I’ve had my first AF and I am 11 dpo, I also tested yesterday at 10 dpo and it was a bfn. Sending you a big hug Flowers

Gizmojo · 11/01/2019 12:27

Just checking in on the new thread. Cd 9 and I’ve had high temps two days running, but that would mean I ovulated while I was still having my period?? Guessing/hoping it’s just a fluke as I’ve not ovulated til at least day 19 the last few months. Weirdly, last two nights have also been the only ones I’ve not had night sweats for about ten days!

Cleozeta · 11/01/2019 11:57

Taxgirl - I think an AMH test would be a good idea and would indicate weather FSH was accurate or not. Not sure I really want to know the answer to mine! I know it doesn't indicate quality and I only need one, but it may indicate how long I have left.
As for progesterone test, I reckon 7 days after confirmed ovulation (if you temp or opk)

lii222 · 11/01/2019 11:55

just adding myself to the list as well

Congrats dickybow!

Mimosa - I got totally fed up of temping thats why I got the ava bracelet in the end, so much easier and gives much more info. Still enjoy opk's though! I quite like poas....

littlemimosa · 11/01/2019 11:11

Congrats Dicki! Fab news.

Whatcan- welcome hun. So sorry to hear you’re feeling so down. Agree with counselling. You need to get those emotions out or they’ll interfere with ttc. That’s my humble opinion anyway. Hope you find some support here. We’re are a v supportive group and I think we are probably the busiest thread on here! I think it says a lot about just how normal it is now to ttc over 40:-)

Presh - you’re not out TIL AF arrives. You’re still testing early.

Mini - so sorry AF arrived. Such a blow every time. Keep going hun.

Dickybow321 · 11/01/2019 10:30

Hahaha, OMG, 10lb... well that would be some effort with twins Grin.

I can't wait to have pregnancy symptoms. Spent yesterday on tenterhooks any time I felt something down below, imagining I could feel AF starting.

Poor you with the infections, especially as you can't really take anything good for pain relief!

CritterTamer · 11/01/2019 10:06

@Dickybow321 - thank you 😊 I won't pretend it hadn't been a tough 4 months - had OHSS after the IVF cycle, then horrible morning sickness and exhaustion from 6 weeks on, but it's all been in a very good cause and we are super excited! We find out the sexes a week tomorrow!

Nasty pregnancy symptoms are now easing but I've come down with a vile sinus, throat and chest infection so still having a rough time - it never ends at the moment. Hoping antibiotics will kick in soon and that I'll actually start feeling well again for the first time in 4 months LOL.

Everything is feeling very real and scary now as my bump is growing very quickly - not even 17 weeks yet but I'm already starting to feel huge. I think I will be the size of Moby Dick in another 4 or 5 weeks! I was born over 10 pounds so I really hope they're not going to take after me!

Dickybow321 · 11/01/2019 09:59

mellon I'm really sorry to hear of your news Flowers

critter who else is pregnant on this thread? You guys are so chatty, there's loads to go back!

alibaba2 I use the HealthAid 1000iu spray

whatcanihave How about going to your GP for a chat? Maybe they can offer you some counselling. If they feel you need antidepressants there are ones that are suitable in pregnancy Flowers

CritterTamer · 11/01/2019 09:55

@Presh12345 if you only have a 10 day luteal phase then FRER won't be accurate 6 days before - that's based on someone having an 'average' 14 day luteal phase. If AF doesn't show up definitely worth testing again in 2 days (sometimes implantation doesn't happen until 9dpo and then it takes a couple of days for detectable levels of HCG to build up). You're definitely not out yet 😊

Dickybow321 · 11/01/2019 09:54

Critter lovely to 'see' you again. I'm very happy to see you are pregnant with twins. Wow. How are you feeling, physically and mentally?

CritterTamer · 11/01/2019 09:52

@Rralitysucks my clinic did AFC scan at initial investigation stage when AMH and SA tests were done. This is so that you can go into the decision making process armed with all the information you need. An AFC will be done as part of baseline scan before you start stims, but by then you will have made your decisions, had your treatment plan done, paid your money and if it throws up any surprises then it's too late. (AFC doesn't tend to fluctuate much month to month, rather it's a very gradual decline over time - mine never varied from. 12 or 13 between first scan in April and last one in October). In all honesty I'm not surprised you have reservations about your clinic - they don't seem to have a very open and honest ethos. Do you have to stick with that clinic?

Also your DHs SA results were much better than mine, and we had excellent fertilisation rates with standard IVF.

Presh12345 · 11/01/2019 08:49

So have had 2 medicated iui whixh didn't work. Took a break over Christmas as wasn't in country. AF due today but no sign of it. Tested at 10dpo with frer but was negative. Could it still be positive if I tested again? I thought frer were reliable up to 6 days before AF?? Hope everyone well x

Realitysucks · 11/01/2019 08:16

@CritterTamer @Chatbash thanks guys x

It is a real shame the situation with my sister. As much as I love her I certainly don’t understand her sometimes. They were trying for two years then started down the ivf route in January last year. She had been asking me if we were trying and I had said we had only just started. I had no idea till she rang me in September to tell me I might see her on tv, turns out they were filmed by the bbc throughout the ivf process. Me and DH had only been trying for a month when she dropped the bombshell that she was 5 months pregnant and the programme was being aired in two days ! Oh and by the way she says get your AMH checked as likely you’re gonna hit early menopause! Now I feel like I’m in a constant battle when she asks me as each time she’s like oh yeah thats the same time we started or your a month behind me a year ago! When I saw her at Xmas and she asked about it and I just lied and said oh we’ve put it on hold and are just gonna see what happens 😬

I’m really starting to worry about the clinic! I’ve had three appointments with them and every time feel like I’m challenging them and they know better. As a lawyer my job is to question particularly when so much money is involved! DH is far too trusting and just tells me to chill as the doctors know best. Problem is I’m a clinical malpractice lawyer for the other side, which means I see the other side of the coin!

My AMH was 4, I haven’t had the scan and have asked them twice about this each time them saying it’s done as part of your cycle. Do they do it before or after you take the stims? I’m not sure if the scan is part of what they do on the 23 jan. they say I’m having a saline infusion trans scan and scratch but not Sure if this checks your follicles as it will be day 20 of my pre treatment cycle so after I’ve ovulated.

As for the ICSI the Doctor got quite funny when I said we didn’t need it due to DH sperm count. It was like over 200 million with an 80% survival and normality and 15 on the chart, at the time they said they never see 15 in clinic most guys have between 8 and 13! As we are funding through Access Fertility they said that unless we go with their recommendation the funding won’t apply and we would have to pay the full rate. By going with acces we save about 4K on a multicycle programme. Yes it’s another 1k for ICSI I do feel like they are selling a product!
