@Bettythecat

Congratulations!!! 💕💕

What a way for us to start the week!!xxx

DuchessofPemberley · 21/01/2019 08:07

@Bettythecat CONGRATULATIONS!!! That is such a strong line, I'm so chuffed for you Smile

Keyboard91 · 21/01/2019 08:04

@AnnaMC214 that won’t be difficult. I’m so teary at the moment.

@ValidUser I rang the EPU on Friday on a ice of Gp receptionist. They said they couldn’t do anything but if I still had positive tests in 2 weeks to contact them again and they could do an early scan.

I know it’s too early to scan, and I know if it’s a chemical I can’t do anything about it. And the physical symptoms aren’t awful. It’s the emotional side of it I’m struggling with. I’m hoping a blood test would be able to see if levels are increasing or decreasing which would give a more difinitive answer. Then I could validate any symptoms with ‘it’s just the hormones leaving’. I just needed the stick to show a negative this morning to help me cope.

As it is, I’ve cried all the way to work, making my headache worse, and now I’m so unproductive and flat. My students will pick up something is wrong, my colleagues will pick up on my missed deadlines and my head of department will want to know what’s going on. He is lovely, and I’m fine with him knowing, but I know I won’t be able to tell him and not sob. I just want to go back to bed and ignore the world for a while but I know that’s not possible :(

cupcakesandglitter · 21/01/2019 08:03

Omg @Bettythecat congrats!!! ❤️ x

cupcakesandglitter · 21/01/2019 08:02

Sorry you're still in limbo @Keyboard91 - the tests don't look like they've got any lighter which is a good sign, hopefully the doc gives you a blood test xxx

@ValidUser call me crazy but I think I see a very faint one too!! It's too faint to see colour though so couldn't say for definite... is it clearer in person? X

Calling all charters!!! I had a dip of 0.54 degrees C today, and I've just checked and my OPK from before I went to sleep is an almost positive! Is this sounding like possible ovulation? X

Bettythecat · 21/01/2019 08:01

Girls- I'm pregnant!!! It feels so strange to see those words. AF was due yesterday so let myself test this morning and look!

Things we have done differently this month... we weren't drinking because of dry January, we tried to eat healthily too- lots of fertility foods.. I did the OPKs, we used Pre-seed lube. We had sex every day in my fertile window and actually we did end up having sex on what turns out to have been my ovulation day. I also carried on with my pre-pregnancy vitamins and temping. No idea if any or all of that had any effect but we were definitely going for it this month!!

This is cycle 5 for us and I'm 30.

Today and yesterday I've woke up feeling bloated and nauseous. Wish If it was AF she'd just turn up now and put me out of my misery! Don't think this month is our month 😕
7 days (ish!) to go!

ValidUser · 21/01/2019 07:44

@KatBeCool I know. I'm ridiculous! 😂

KatBeCool · 21/01/2019 07:41

@ValidUser tsk tsk for testing so early! I turned up the brightness on my phone to the "eye burn" level, I might be seeing something on the normal photo but not the inverted. But 7dpo... That's way too 🔜.

KatBeCool · 21/01/2019 07:35

@Keyboard91 I don't think asking you to wait for two weeks is reasonable or necessary. It's one thing when you see a clear progression on a urine test and you're just waiting for your first blood test and another when you're not sure what is happening. I agree with @ValidUser, see if there's a place that can do a blood test right now if your GP isn't going to.

ValidUser · 21/01/2019 07:32

Ok I know I'm a POAS addict and only about 7 dpo and I'm going to the fertility clinic tomorrow and probably only seeing what I want to.

But I think I see something here.

@Keyboard91 if it comes to it is there an early pregnancy assessment unit near you? Right now they can't do much more than bloods, but that's what a person would do in my part of Ireland. (Accepted too - DH and I are doctors and he worked in one once.)

Hugs. X

AnnaMC214 · 21/01/2019 07:26

@Keyboard91 I'm so sorry you're having such a horrible time of it. I would definitely ring the GP. Cry at them if you can and they might realise that making you wait 2 weeks is just cruel! We're all here for you xx

Keyboard91 · 21/01/2019 06:56

I wish there was a test that was definitive.

I got a bfp Friday am, started bleeding Friday PM. That pretty much was a period Saturday and Sunday. It’s much less this morning, although still bright pink/red and is mixed with EWCM.

Last night I was randomly sick. Was fine, then was sick, and within 30mins I felt okay (and vaguely hungry). Wasn’t sick again, this morning I have a huge headache but that’s probably because of the 4 hours sleep I got.

I had accepted in my head that it was a chemical. I needed by body to not be sick, and I needed the test to be negative or lighter than the others. I can’t see much change in the line either way.

It is the not knowing that is killing me :( I’m going to ring my GP and ask if I can get an appointment for a blood test. I can’t wait two weeks of this :(

KatBeCool · 21/01/2019 01:54

@Nextchapter19 I'm CD11, I guess the day changed so it's CD12 now. Ewcm started today, usually I ovulate CD14. So we're close!

@AngeloMysterioso you should temp! You'll know whether it's AF or not.

DH did some "reading" and now refuses to DTD daily. At least every other is ok I suppose.

cupcakesandglitter · 20/01/2019 23:52

@ValidUser I get it don't worry, don't worry about moaning either, it's our only way to let it all out I think! Fx you get your BFP by 30, I'm sure you will ❤️ I'm okay, CD20 and no ovulation yet/signs of ov so just going with the flow really 😂🤷🏻‍♀️ x

Omg @FlapJackered what is it with these men 😂😂😂 glad you managed to sort it too though, even if it meant kicking him out 😂 no positive for me yet 😩 don't have much hope for this month x

@DuchessofPemberley I log all of my symptoms so as soon as I feel something I go back and look through them, it's the only way I can prove to myself I've had it before x

@AngeloMysterioso I feel your pain - I went from regular cycles to 23/38/27/33 etc etc for literally no reason, starting the month we started TTC!! No explanation from the docs either 🤷🏻‍♀️ x

AngeloMysterioso · 20/01/2019 23:02

I know I keep going on about this, but seriously-

Why the fuck is my period a week early?

After showing up A WHOLE WEEK LATE for no apparent reason in November, it has now shown up A WHOLE WEEK EARLY two months later.

I've given up hope of it being implantation bleeding. It's been 5 days. And although it hasn't been constant the whole time, it's gone from fresh and red to dark and clotty (I know, TMI, sorry.) so I can only conclude that my period has arrived a week sooner than expected for no reason (other than to fuck with my sanity), and in the space of 4 months my cycle has gone from a steady 28/29 days to 35, then 30, then 23. I've just cried on DH because I'm so frustrated and pissed off.

Bettythecat · 20/01/2019 22:14

@Cinderella812 can you speak to him about it and explain to him that you both want the baby and so you both have to be responsible to make it happen and you don't want to miss it for the month. Maybe you can try snuggling up to him or kissing him and try and take it from there?

Nextchapter19 · 20/01/2019 21:59

@Cindarella812 yeah I know what you mean about the pressure. We were going to start on Saturday but neither was in the mood given we knew it was going to be planned! I told him today he had to surprise me so we had two quickies which were alot of fun. But, its Monday tomorrow and Im back at work which is school leadership. Anxiety and stress!!!! Just trying to prioritise. Ovulation due on Thurs according to the 2 apps I use. Lets keep each other updated!

Cinderella812 · 20/01/2019 21:51

@Nextchapter19

Clue tells me I'm ovulating on Wednesday... (based purely on timings from previous cycles - not using OPKs yet). It's reassuring to know that there are ladies out there in the same position. I quite like that some of us are pretty closely synced!

Day 2 of a 6-day fertile window now, and DH has yet to initiate anything. He doesn't like me to initiate, and he doesn't like me to tell him when the FW is, due to pressure etc. It's on the calendar, so he can look if he wants to, but I don't think he does. Effectively, we only "do the couple's dance" (ha!) if and when he happens to feel like it. In an ideal world, we would try multiple times during the FW, but my husband is a once-a-week (or less) sort of chap. I really hope we don't miss the opportunity this month.

Lozzlepop · 20/01/2019 21:44

@BostonFern Hello Fresh came and tonight’s meal was fab! I’m the same with AF coming in that at least I know my body is getting back to normal after BC.

@Jessikka @Babytrain89 sorry to hear AF has arrived, it seems she has snuck up with a lot of us over the last few days!

Nextchapter19 · 20/01/2019 21:40

Is anyone else in their fertile window now? Im cycle day 11 and due to ovulate day 16. Anyone out there to share the ride? We DTD twice today so good start!

ValidUser · 20/01/2019 21:22

Thanks @PinkFizz19. ❤️

PinkFizz19 · 20/01/2019 20:56

Evening ladies hope all ok. I'm trying to stop myself thinking I can feel twinges when I'm only 3/4 dpo. Only CD16 so if last cycle is anything to go by I've got another 16 days to wait until AF may/may not show.

@Jessikka Sorry to hear AF got to you. Hope you enjoy You! I finished it yesterday. Liked it so much I'm going to download the book.

@daisiesandpeonies Welcome back! I only joined this year. Cycle 2 and already caught up in the madness so completely understand why you may need to take a break from here. Sending lots of baby dust to you.

@ValidUser Hope the appointment goes well and they get you in for your op asap. Sending positive thoughts and baby dust your way. Take care.

@Babytrain89 So sorry to hear AF got you. Take care. Enjoy some wine and chocolate. I hope Cycle 3 is your month.

MrsR16 · 20/01/2019 20:53

@ValidUser oh, don't do that!!! 😂 I'm a sucker for a dare!! Xx
