I was cycle 3 too @stormtrooperjulian! But tbf it was my first cycle of giving it all we had.
Thank you for doing that!! Amazing to see who is on here!

cupcakesandglitter · 08/01/2019 16:52

@FlapJackered omg 😂😂 do you only take them for a week? If so at least you're done!! I went to do an OPK yesterday but I don't have any left (also cried at this) so I'm just gonna relax this cycle again. I've actually got the rest of the week off - welled up driving to work today and realised how I'm actually not over my CP last month, I guess it's all kicked in. I'm definitely a crier though - just gets 1000x worse (and scarier for DH) when I'm hormonal 😂😂😂

@stormtrooperjulian you're so organised I love it 😂😂 crazy how much these threads have grown!!! I'm the baby of the group 😳

@19Bee2 I don't get much - since taken pregnacare I see a LOT of it for a day or so.. especially when wiping! Before that I never saw any though, it's normal - apparently drinking lots of water helps x

Ember25 · 08/01/2019 16:52

@scotslass55 oh no app! Just the one built into MN: www.mumsnet.com/conception/ovulation-calculator :)

Scotslass55 · 08/01/2019 16:50

Thanks @stormtrooperjulian - that’s a very helpful overview and I like the grads list too! Very encouraging!

@Ember25 which app do you use? Sounds like it might be a plan for next cycle.

Jessikka · 08/01/2019 16:47

I've been struggling to sleep the last few days and I stupidly led on my bed during my lunch break so had a naughty lunch nap.
Now I'm sat trying to face overtime.
Keeps my mind busy though during the 2ww.

Cramps have gone down loads today so I'm a happy camper again 😊

Bettythecat · 08/01/2019 16:35

@stormtrooperjulian thanks so much for doing that!! Lovely to see us all there like that and also good to see the graduates who have got their BFPs so that we don’t all lose hope!

GemmaJen · 08/01/2019 16:21

@stormtrooperjulian nice list! Wow there are a lot of us aren't there. I'm cycle 3 now 🤞

@19Bee2 I very rarely get any and haven't been able to note any since ttc. I used some fertility lube, similar to preseed (Tesco own though - a little cheaper) just in case. Lots of ladies do get BFPs even with no Ewcm, so while it's a good sign, it's not the most important thing.

19Bee2 · 08/01/2019 16:10

Hi all,
A quick question for you:
How often and how much (TMI?!) EWCM do you tend to notice in your fertile week. In past months I have noticed a fair amount for a few days, but now we are actually trying, typically, I'm noticing nowhere near as much. Still a few days to go until O so it could very well be on its way and I know it probably varies hugely from month to month and person to person but would be interesting to know others find it.

stormtrooperjulian · 08/01/2019 16:01

I got bored at work 😂 so I made a list of the people who’ve checked in on here so far.... I didn’t realise we had so many people!

I'm a lurker! I read often but can't always post.

TTC #1
CD6

I removed my Nuvaring on Jan 1, had a short (3 days) withdrawal bleed, and am hoping to ovulate in about a week. I know its a small chance but can't help hoping! All my reading of research studies indicates that ovulation returns quickly after removing Nuvaring, as its fairly low dose and localised in terms of hormones. The median time of ovulation is 19 days, so we will see. I was on Nuvaring for 2.5 years, and before that no hormonal birth control for many years - my cycles were always regular.

Will keep hoping for BFPs for everyone :)

Random2468 · 08/01/2019 14:05

Thanks for new thread!

Age 28
TTC #1
Cycle 2 after MMC in October diagnosed at 12 weeks and requiring ERPC - took almost 10 weeks for AF to return
Currently CD 22
5 DPO

Fingers crossed for bfp's for everyone soon

Keyboard91 · 08/01/2019 14:02

Hi all,

Have been lurking for the last few days as the thread has moved too fast and I’m back to work (teaching) so very busy!

Age 27 (28 at the end of the month)
TTC #1
Cycle 1 officially (2 unofficially)
CD17, 2dpo

Have a stuffy nose at the moment which is really annoying. Grr! Don’t want to take anything to ease congestion just in case!

Woke up this morning feeling ‘weird’. I don’t know what or why. Don’t feel sick but appetite is gone. Crazy amounts of discharge (tmi). Exhausted but putting that down to work. Gone off Diet Coke in favour of water (I HATE water). Trying not to read too much into it ... but ya all know the drill! Xx

Ember25 · 08/01/2019 13:14

@scotslass55 Yeah I just pop in the date of when my last period started (yesterday) and how long my cycle is (latest few ones have been 28-30 days) and then it tells you when you're most likely to be fertile. Of course this is all based on assumptions and every woman is different! So yes, extremely relaxed at the moment haha, we'll see what I'm like a couple of cycles down the line Grin

19Bee2 · 08/01/2019 13:13

@KatBeCool So sorry to hear that. So frustrating. Our bodies can do crazy things. Hoping something happens soon either way so you can move out from this limbo phase of not knowing.

Welcome @Tinag18 Good luck with your first month temping. I've done it for a few months to try get my head around it before TTC and find it quite fascinating.

Crossfitgirl · 08/01/2019 12:52

Hey ladies!
Thanks for the tag @flapjackered :-)
Oh @katbecool I came on to see your test result. Sorry for the BFN. how frustrating. And no sign of AF?
Still sounds very positive to me, has the temp gone up at all or stayed the same? If anything the longer LP sounds promising, it's not usual for LP to vary by much is it?
Xxx

Scotslass55 · 08/01/2019 12:46

Ember25 - welcome! I’m also not charting or temping or anything, and also on cycle 4. Possibly silly question (I’m quite niaive about all this) but how does the ovulation calculator work if you’re not doing any of the other stuff? Is it just based on dates of last period, cycle length etc? If this cycle doesn’t work then I think I probably need to start taking a slightly less relaxed approach. Time is not on my side!

Scotslass55 · 08/01/2019 12:41

Thanks for the new thread - I’m checking in too! I’m one of the quiet ones!

Age: 38
Cycle: 4
CD: 23

Feeling bit more optimistic this cycle as we seemed to time BD better. Currently got sore boobs, have had for a day or two, trying verrrrry hard not to symptom spot or get hopes up!

The chat moves very fast here. I think I’d been asking what tests people recommend? I won’t test unless or until I’m late on Monday. What should I buy if I get to that stage?! Thank you!

MrsLBear · 08/01/2019 12:36

Hi ladies ❤️
Hoping the new thread brings you all tonnes of luck and lots of BFPs!!!!

MrsR16 · 08/01/2019 12:35

Hi ladies, thanks for the tag @FlapJackered

Just a reminder about me:

Age: 25
Cycle: 6
CD: 17

I think I'm in the TWW but I'm not hopeful this cycle at all - DTD once in the FW the day before predicted OV day and have been super ill! Not conducive to having a sticky bean... but we shall see! Stranger things have been known to happen!

GemmaJen · 08/01/2019 12:21

Thanks for the tag. I'm switching between my positive mindset and moments of despair at the moment. I popped to the GPs yesterday which just induced worry, having to talk about the MMC and chemical was hard as there was a slight presumption of when this doesn't work out 'we'll try and refer you and they should be able to confirm at least 2 MC, there may be a question over the chemical'. I know I'm reading into it, but it was tough non the less. Now that I've seen the GP though she will refer me to the midwife in another week if nothing goes wrong. I know she's not there to hold my hand but all this presumption of it failing and doing stuff 'if it doesn't go wrong' is just pants. Sorry about that, rant over, I shall try to return to my happy place.

@KatBeCool sorry to hear about the rubbish frer. FX for you x

Tinag18 · 08/01/2019 12:17

Hello, I have been lurking for a few days now.

Age 36
TTC #1
Cycle 2
CD 3

Cycle 1 was a strange one, hoping for better luck this month Smile. First cycle of using OPKs and temping.
I'm planning to use the wait to loose a few extra pounds, it's definitely needed after the Christmas feast.

ShortandSweet96 · 08/01/2019 12:16

I mean baby's health as opposed to conception, I know it can play havoc on fertility. I'm trying to quit but after some days at work is probably end up driving off the cliff I'm the way home if I didn't have one.

ShortandSweet96 · 08/01/2019 12:15

Do any of you lovely ladies know if smoking before pregnancy can affect baby?
Ttc, and trying to quit. I ovulate on the 11th of January, and that's when I'm going to go cold turkey. But can it still affect baby?

I knowing be able to Do it because I was convinced I was pregnant in September and quit smoking straight away, when my period came I only bought a packet of fags because I was upset and wanted to almost punish myself for not being pregnant. Silly I know but I was so hopeful!

So can previously smoking affect a baby?

AnnaMC214 · 08/01/2019 12:14

I'm sorry @KatBeCool that's so frustrating and confusing. But you're not out until you're out and until af arrives you're definitely still in!

@stormtrooperjulian I think a list sounds like a great idea!
