@bettythecat that definetely looks positive to me x

sunshine1987 · 08/01/2019 21:54

Just checking in and saying hi so I don’t lose this thread, hope you’re all well x

@mrsh497 would ignore the apps and go by the stick, how many cycles have you been tracking? x

TrashKitten10 · 08/01/2019 21:48

@19Bee2 I'll tell him you said to suck it up and stop complaining. Men definitely get an easy run of it don't they!

@Bettythecat That's interesting. No booze worries for us, we are pretty teetotal but it's definitely throwing off my chart when I'm temping even an hour off my normal time. Do you find your charts are still informative enough without weekend temps?

MrsH497 · 08/01/2019 21:44

Ok I'm confused (doesn't take much especially with this TTC lark!) so apps show ovulation should've been 3/4th but OPKs were negative. Just done one and looks positive came up quickly as well.

I'm CD 16

Thoughts ladies? x

KatBeCool · 08/01/2019 21:35

@Keyboard91 add a little lemon juice to water, it's much more drinkable that way. I hate water too and it's the only way I can drink it.

@Crossfitgirl not a slightest sign of AF. I keep checking every half hour. Other than that one tiny bit of brownish cm yesterday, absolutely nothing. I'm going mad. Luteal phase is supposed to always be the same, one month it was 13 days for me, all others just ten. The temp dropped on that 13th day too. Now it's 14dpo, and temp is still up.

@19Bee2 I get a noticeable amount of ewcm. They say that while you might not have much "show up", there still could be a lot inside. There are ways to check and it involves venturing deep up to your cervix.

@FlapJackered you using opks this cycle? I sure hope those isoflavones worked for you because side effects are crazy.

cupcakesandglitter · 08/01/2019 21:35

Oh god yeah @Jessikka it's so odd 😂

@Bettythecat looks positive to me!!

@Babytrain89 my cousin and her friends went to Budapest for NYE 2017 and said it was incredible!! I'd love to go one day! I think we're just going to book some time off together, even if we just stay at home, we don't see each other enough 😩

I've been temping the last few days, but haven't woken up at the same time or anything, just doing it as soon as I wake up. Sort of varied results but I'm doing it because I'm intrigued 😂 x

19Bee2 · 08/01/2019 21:06

Thank you for the list @stormtrooperjulian There really are lots of us here. Let's hope for plenty of good news in the coming weeks.

@TrashKitten10 I also take mine at 6 each morning (also a teacher and finding it SO tiring being back). I just take mine in the morning at the same time at a weekend. Even stuck to it over Christmas, which I feel I need a gold medal for! My husband wasn't too keen at first either but my sympathy level for that complaint was pretty low - it's not like they have to record and monitor and constantly analyse their bodies every day!

thosethreewords · 08/01/2019 20:59

Found you all! I'm off charting this month due to lots of stuff going on at work and wanting to chill out.

Update: CD4 cycle 2
Expected ovulation CD12 (16th Jan)

FX for January BFPs!

Babytrain89 · 08/01/2019 20:59

I thought I'd lost you all for a mo. Don't think I'm on the recap so...
Age: 29
Cycle: 3 (2nd post withdrawal bleed)
CD15

@Eltzbee congrats....so pleased everything's ok!

@keyboard91 almost at a similar point to you.

@cupcakesandglitter Budapest is amazing! went recently and really would recommend.

@Jessika sounds like you're having a horrendous time. My first month off the pill was awful, I had back ache so bad I cried, my boobs hurt like hell and i felt like absolute hell! You have all of my sympathy.

This thread has moved so quickly! I'm currently 3DPO I think...I could also be 2DPO or 1DPO...trying to keep it all relaxed although my OH keeps asking if we have managed it yet! or if I feel different! This started before I'd even ovulated!

Have any of you experienced terrible skin around ovulation? Or crazy hunger??

PinkFizz19 · 08/01/2019 20:32

Thanks so much for the add and new thread @FlapJackered.

@stormtrooperjulian Great list!!

My stats are:

33
Cycle 2
CD 4

Came off the pill in November.

Clearblue OPKs arrived today and seems AF has disappeared (sorry for TMI but my AF has been much shorter and less heavy off the pill then it did when I was on it. I know it's not the same but I'm so happy about that. Ha)

We were meant to be not actively trying with OPKs or timing etc. Just going for BD every other day or every few days and here I am..cycle 2 and already on the OPKs like this is it...we're trying for a baby Smile

stormtrooperjulian · 08/01/2019 20:30

@Bettythecat looks positive to me. Apparently you can ovulate up to 72 hours after the positive so it could still be CD14 when it actually happens, or maybe it’s just early for you this month. Either way, get dtd!

Welcome @OrangeDuck

Bettythecat · 08/01/2019 20:10

@Trashkitten10 I contacted Natural Cycles about something to do with the app and they responded to say that you don’t need to temp on weekends. 5 temps a week are enough to make sure the app can detect it properly. I think testing at the weekend can actually be a bad thing as any deviating temp from more sleep or booze etc would throw off your predictions. X

TrashKitten10 · 08/01/2019 20:03

Welcome @Tinag18 @OrangeDuck and any others I've missed!

My first recap :) Thanks @stormtrooperjulian for making the list.

Age: 27
TTC: #1
Cycle: #1
CD: 12

Back to the classroom this week and so busy! I miss being able to check this thread a million times a day. I've been temping and finding my temps are staying pretty consistent which is good. Last time I tried tracking my temperature (not TTC at that point, just seeing if with my PCOS I was ovulating at all) it was a bit all over the place so I'm glad it seems a bit more steady.

The only problem is what to do at the weekends. Those who have an old fashioned thermometer instead of a lovely Ava bracelet or similar, do you just suck it up and set your alarm early at the weekends? Our alarm is normally set for 6 but DH was less than impressed at my suggestion to keep this alarm at the weekends so I could make sure I temp at the right time Smile I do tend to wake up early anyway so last Sunday woke up thinking it was about six and ended up temping at 4 in the morning. DH was asking what the hell all the beeping was in the middle of the night. Oops. I think he hoped that TTC would mean being woken up by something a bit more exciting than a beeping thermometer Blush

Sorry @Bettythecat I'm clueless on OPKs, hope somebody will be along to help you soon.

Bettythecat · 08/01/2019 19:45

Better pic here- help!

TTC FIRST BABY - Thread 11!
OrangeDuck · 08/01/2019 19:32

Long time lurker but now also checking in Smile
Age 29
Cycle officially 1 properly trying but have over the past few months just been ‘seeing how it goes’
CD 17
Usually have fairly regular cycles 28-29 days so I assume I ovulate around the 14 day mark and tend to get the typical symptoms around then, however, I’m not using opk’s yet (trying to take a more relaxed approach - not sure how long that will last tho Grin)

Bettythecat · 08/01/2019 19:24

Girls- line eyes needed please. Does this look like a positive or negative to you?? Looks like maybe positive but that would make no sense given I’m CD12 and normally don’t O until between CD14-18?!

ValidUser · 08/01/2019 19:01

Checking in!

28, cycle 7 day 9.

Awaiting surgery for hydrosalpinx.

Been quiet lately - TTC is taking a huge emotional toll on me. Staying distracted.

Getting a hot stone massage tomorrow, so that'll be nice. 😊

Did I miss anything big in the last few days?

Jessikka · 08/01/2019 18:13

@cupcakesandglitter it's driving me insane!! I've been running back and forth the loo convinced AF is here but nothing!

It's so bloody distracting haha!

cupcakesandglitter · 08/01/2019 18:11

@Jessikka I know exactly what you're on about 😂😂 not exactly a queef but enough to feel something coming out but then nothing ever has? 😂

Jessikka · 08/01/2019 17:51

In what is probably going to be the weirdest question of the day.... have you ever had a weird popping/bubble sensation down there!?

I am sat minding my own business and my lady bits keep feeling like they're leaking (they aren't - no Cm etc) and I feel like I'm producing little air bubbles or something. I can't quite describe it but if you know, you know.

cupcakesandglitter · 08/01/2019 17:31

@FlapJackered I swear we know more tips than the GP!! 😂 hopefully this is our month, I need that BFP 😭 oh thank god you're done then, no more hormonal crying outbursts 😂 I'm definitely thinking about taking them, right now I need all the help I can get!! Where did you get them from? X

FlapJackered · 08/01/2019 17:24

AMAZING list making skills @stormtrooperjulian 😂 you are a woman after my own heart! Can you keep a copy and we can add it to the start of each new thread? It's good to know where everyone is on their journey. Although looks like @MrsAW2018 and I have been here the longest which is slightly depressing! I was telling DH I might retrain as a natural fertility expert soon, as I have tried almost every suggested fertility supplement and tip on the internet 😂

@cupcakesandglitter oh hun, that is definitely a legitimate thing to be sad about though. Fingers crossed for both of us this month. 🤞🏻
Yes thank Christ I only take them for 5 days or I think it would be dangerous for me. When I am hormonal I tend to think massive life changes are essential too, like moving to another country or changing jobs! DH has to remind me that it's my hormones talking. 😂
Feeling really nauseous today too. So glad I have finished them. They better bloody work!! 😂

@Jessikka lunch time naps are amazing though!

OP posts:
cupcakesandglitter · 08/01/2019 17:11

Omg @Scotslass55 😂😂 I love that we're a range of ages though!! Many cycles of experience + knowledge here 😂😩

Scotslass55 · 08/01/2019 16:57

@Ember25 - thanks. That’s even easier then! Told you I was a bit niaive about all of this...

Scotslass55 · 08/01/2019 16:56

@cupcakesandglitter if you’re the baby that makes me the Grandma! 😂😂 I’ve come across a few clients younger than me who have been grandparents - I always find that rather freaky!
