TTC FIRST BABY - Thread 11!

@stormtrooperjulian the only newish thing I've been taking is synthroid for hypothyroidism but I started it in September. Before that my LP was ten days, since then it's been 13 days only one of the months (in October) and the rest remained at ten days. Seeing how this is now 16dpo and absolutely no sign of AF, I'm confused. DH wants me to do a blood test but I'm not late enough for that I don't think. My cycles have been 24-26 days, I'm now on CD32.

What's the usual CM at around 7dpo? I thought it should be fairly non existent but I've definitely got a fair amount... i really can't get my head around this EWCM/different stages, I have to look it up every time and it still means nothing to me - I don't know why I struggle so much!!

Hi all! I've been following along but not managing to post much. Hope everyone is doing well!
I'm currently CD15, was expected to ovulate day 16/17 as that has been the trend according to FF over the last few months. However, I had a slight rise in temp today and think that CM has dried up (yuk!) as it usually does after ov. A little disappointed as we DTD on CD 11 and 14 but was hoping to find time to do much more the end of this week but now I'm doubting whether I am still fertile. Going to try to it anyway and see how it goes. Taking this first month as a practice month and figuring out what works best for us in terms of scheduling/making time for DTD.
At 6am this morning, for the first time ever, husband asked what my temp had done when he heard me take it. I think it's suddenly become real for him so it's nice not to be the only one thinking over it constantly!

Bless the other half, after DTD this morning he told me to lie down and put a pillow under my bum as he had read it helped! Then brought tea. 😍

I am in cycle 6, am 34, got PCOS and on CD11 of a 27day cycle.

I always get EWCM and ovu bleeding though (due to inositol which I take for fertility) so am pretty sure I ovulate around day 12/13.

Does anyone know if the ovu bleeding comes before or after the egg is waiting and ready? I must be missin the timings somehow.

My girlfriend fell pregnant on day 22 of a 28 day cycle (another happy accident! One of the lucky uber fertile ladies! Ha ha!)

@MrsAW2018 I had pinching in the few first days DPO and got my BFP so fx it's a good sign for you too!!!!

@stormtrooperjulian this is true! 😊 I'll figure it out soon enough, I'm sure! I hope your cramping settles down! It's bad enough on AF let alone any other time! 😂

@KatBeCool have you started taking any supplements that could have lengthened your luteal phase?

I’m 8dpo and still getting loads of cramping, it woke me up before my alarm today and has been on and off all morning. My fingers are crossed that it’s a positive sign but it’s probably just my body trolling me 😂

@KatBeCool yup I had two definite positives two days in a row then a nearly positive today.

That’s so weird about af 😫 has that ever happened before? When will you test again?

@Bettythecat AF was due six days ago. Frer was negative two days ago.
If you got a definite positive dark opk, then that's what it is. When it goes down after the surge, it can completely plummet to almost nothing within just a few hours or take a slower dive over a couple of days. That's why bbt helps.

@KatBeCool that’s good to know too and makes sense for me now - I got one like that maybe Monday(?) and then got positives Tuesday and Wednesday and then this morning another nearly positive so it seems like they were the “nearly positives” either side of my surge. It’s my first month using these type of OPKs (normally use the smiley face ones) so it’s all new to me!

@FlapJackered it's close to positive, as @cupcakesandglitter said, you won't be ovulating today but still have a couple more days. But I do believe you're close, for it being so dark, it's not just your random cycle LH.

No AF yesterday but the temp did not go back up today and was at cover line this morning. Not the news I was hoping to see.

@FlapJackered 😂😂 I didn't think ovulating early mattered? I had EWCM last night and a bit this morning, so we could be ovulation buddies too 😂 X

@Flapjackered don’t panic too much- the instructions on the OPK test say that’s definitely still a negative. As we always have LH in our urine anyway I think you could get a line like that at any time throughout the month in theory. Also if you get a positive tomorrow or the day after you will still probably not O until you are around CD14 which is ok, right?

@FlapJackered, I'm on cd 21 and usually have a 28-31 day cycle so waiting now... But my exam prep should keep my mind off things for a bit!

While I was catching up on the thread, I saw a few of you were having weird pregnancy dreams, so thought I'd chip in: had a dream I was in labour, but at my mums house. I kept 'pushing' (although in the dream I didn't look pregnant anyways!) Anyway, basically, when I woke up from all the in dream pushing... I really had to poo!! It was weird, so thought I'd share :)

BBT experts can I pick your brains please?

I got a positive OPK on Tuesday then an even stronger positive yesterday. Temp dropped slightly below coverline on Tuesday too and climbed up yesterday but has dropped back down to near coverline today and got a negative OPK this morning. I didn’t sleep well last night- woke up at 3:40, went to the loo then tried to get back to sleep which I think I did after a while until 6am when the bin men came. Took my temp at 6am then went back to sleep for a bit. Question is- would you take the 6am lower than expected temp as deviating because of my poor sleep or is that ok?

If I have just ovulated it means I ovulated on CD13 or 14 which is v early and given I have a 28 day cycle and an 11 day luteal phase now means this cycle will be shorter than usual. Should I be worried? Has that happened to anyone before?

Hi all can i join? Ttc#1 took last contraceptive pill on 17th dec, had withdrawal bleed on 20th through till about 22nd. Nothing since, not sure what to expect, had no signs of ovulation only a slight bit of creamy discharge (sorry tmi!) Also been having little twinges of pain on both sides of lower abdomen ( different sides at different times). To be honest dont know of im imagining those ! Anyone have any ideas of what to expect in the coming weeks? Just wait for AF?
