Yes @tigsy!!!

tigsyboo · 28/01/2019 17:58

Man I wish I had time for journals and diaries, I don't have time for shopping lists! Lol!

In other great news.... the social worker who came round to intrude in my life, judge and criticise us, waste 2 hours of my life I never get back, offer us support and see how things are going has sent his report saying he recommends to the court that the kids live with us and have contact with their useless cunt mother!! DH is over the moon, just hope the judges see sense next week now and go with the professional opinion even though dads getting custody is far from the norm!! X

ratherbeshowjumping · 28/01/2019 17:04

@Frazzlerock I think you really suit your name 😘
Wow, what a helpful response from Flo 🙈😂

@edidxb how did your interview go today?

Just lost £15 out of my pocket & dh has said he's "too tired" to dtd tonight (he got up at midday, cleaned out the fish tank & built his new bike).... half forgiven as he has emailed the Miscarriage Association & has said he is going to fundraise for them when he cycles John O'Groats to Lands End in July... but still ffs 😩

edidxb · 28/01/2019 16:29

@rose68 - I like to use an app as I lose track of what CD it is otherwise. And I don't like to use an OPK until about CD10.

I also do FF and BBT as it gives me a sense of some sort of control. It's not much but it calms me somehow. Apart from Ovia which panicked me!

I used Ovia for my first pregnancy too but on the second one I changed to Glow and Babycentre as I felt Ovia was cursed (!!!). However I didn't like either of them and woulld go back to Ovia for pregnancy again.

Frazzlerock · 28/01/2019 15:11

@rose because PCOS can cause false +opks. So I do ALL the things Grin

But I always forget the rest of the world could be reading 😳

Rose68 · 28/01/2019 15:02

@Frazzle I think we all know your name anyway 😘

Rose68 · 28/01/2019 15:01

@Frazzle I have no clue about Ovia, ovusense, fertility friend or any of them.... just have sex when you get a positive opk and how can you go wrong?

Frazzlerock · 28/01/2019 15:00

and I've just realised that's got my name on. Oh well, I've nothing to hide haha

@edidxb I don’t think you should be cabin crew x

Rose68 · 28/01/2019 14:58

I think I have missed the woodland message too? I will try and go back later if I can....

Tigsy, you make me laugh!

God I’m shattered.

Pegase · 28/01/2019 14:45

Hcg of 0-4 is normal for when you aren't pregnant I think @tigsyboo ?

@edidxb you are in SLT right? Could you do consultancy of some kind?

tigsyboo · 28/01/2019 14:39

@Pegase wow what a great result!!!!

Everyone else.... sorry I'm getting a bit lost... I don't know what flo or ovia is... I'm not sure who's got a cold, but that sucks!!
Frazzle - it's normal to feel down it's shit!!

But look ... 2 bfp on here already!! It's going to happen for us all!!

I had blood test back- hcg now 1.... couldn't be 0 could it?? No, had to be 1! Bastard!! AF seems to have stopped - 2 heavy days, 1 medium, 1 light.... temp was waaaaaaay low this morning (36.1).

@TwittleBee I'm sorry I'm lost re woodland I've obvs missed a message..... but what ever it is don't strees!! (This is easy for me to say today after caning 2 diazepam this morning when had to be part of a meeting with the evil boss- so being spaced out in it was the way forward!! Lol) x

edidxb · 28/01/2019 14:27

@ratherbe - I used to struggle with insomnia and when I did I used to write down all the great things in my life at the end of each day so I would feel positive before getting into bed. I think it helped me to conquer not being able to sleep.

edidxb · 28/01/2019 14:26

@pegase - that's a brilliant second test - yay! I just hope it is all OK.......that's two now on the thread :-) One by one we will all get there.

Loving the positivity @frazzle. I used to use Ovia but grew tired of it. It was always giving me information that I might be pregnant and it messed with my head too much. I like FF as it's simple and usually accurate.

I've currently got ulcers on my tongue which is a sign I am coming down with a cold. Which I don't have time for at all.

I am still on the look out for a new career and I was looking into cabin crew yesterday (!). My DH pointed out that it wouldn't be very helpful if I am trying to get pregnant as it's time specific. Which was great as he never brings it up himself and it's proof to me that he does want it as much as me even though he never really says so........plus I am somewhat scared of flying and it would be a massive pay cut. So all in all, not the career change I am looking for!!!

ratherbeshowjumping · 28/01/2019 14:18

Ah Flo is the bane of my life. Good for you Frazzle for emailing them. I don't even know why I bother using it either, I much prefer Ovia (I think it's just habit and this irrational belief that yet another app will increase my chances of having a baby, just by being there on my phone Grin

Let us know what they come back with!

@Twittle I used to keep a diary at uni too, and when I went travelling. I wish I still had the time for it. I think a list of 5 things everyday will be easy enough to conquer, even if I just keep it in my notes on my phone.

@Frazzle, I tried to keep a pregnancy journal, but literally kept it up for 2 days.... so rubbish!!!

Pegase · 28/01/2019 14:16

I thought Glow was great to begin with but actually now it keeps changing my ov date to fit in with its own idea of how long my follicular and luteal phases are, rather than the actual OPK date, it's not much use any more.

Frazzlerock · 28/01/2019 14:08

A friend of mine in my village cuts my hair at home, she does the boys too. I need to book her in for after next pay day. Just had a look at Blow and they charge from £69 for cut and blow dry which is too much for me. I just need a trim really as my hair is all one length it's pretty easy.

I emailed Flo, lets see what they say! The only apps I really like (and work) are FF and Ovusense. I always look at Ovusense first though as it predicts my ovulation before FF. I don't know why I bother with Flo, I think it is habit!
What's Glow like? Does it take a few cycles to recognise a pattern?

OP posts:
Pegase · 28/01/2019 14:01

There is a hair blow dry service called Blow LTD (really) in London who come to your house. £45 but there is normally £40 off codes floating about.

I use Flo. When I put in positive OPK, it put ovulation in as the following day. Tbh I am having trouble with all the apps. Can't seem to change luteal phase in Glow and it will insist I have a 14 day LP which I never do so then it overwrites ov day. They all seem to have their little annoyances.

Frazzlerock · 28/01/2019 13:57

Exactly @Betty. Time is definitely an issue.
There are 24 useable hours in everyday. A midnight hairdresser would be just perfect Grin

Or one that can come to my office when I am bored out of my mind...

OP posts:
BettySwoll0cks · 28/01/2019 13:47

@Frazzlerock I hear you, although it's time I don't have as opposed to money. I haven't been to the hairdresser in ages, so last weekend when DS decided we had to get up at 5.45 (on a Sunday 🙃) I plonked him in front of Hey Duggee and dyed my hair in the bathroom. Not completely disastrous either - DH didn't even notice (little change there though). My pre-children self would never have done that in a million years!!

Frazzlerock · 28/01/2019 13:27

@Twittle yeah I'm wondering if it is worth bothering with, but I have invested in it for so long now.

@Betty If only! I've already used my spare cash on a leg wax at the weekend (£38 well spent IMO, I was looking like a gorilla) and I only got paid on Friday! Next month I have to use it on getting my hair cut, unless I end up reaching for the kitchen scissors in desperation.

OP posts:
BettySwoll0cks · 28/01/2019 13:23

@Frazzlerock surely the big positive here is that you get to shop for a new handbag and jeans?

TwittleBee · 28/01/2019 13:17

I honestly couldnt get along with Flo at all Frazzle - does seem that it has focused on the +OPK as clearly hasnt bothered waiting for 3 rising temps. Hope your chart starts making sense over this next couple days - hoping its not one of those mega long cycles you get.

Rather I used to keep a diary like that during uni - I also find just writing in general to help it all get out. I love list making anyway
