Ffs I’ve done it again @rose not Betty!!

tigsyboo · 10/01/2019 09:22

@betty... boo for the bfn
If u know your body and that means that’s it for this month if I was you I’d crack open a bottle of wine tonight and make the most of the next 10days or so 👍🏼

@twittle would you be far enough along for a CB digital to tell now? I think I like it being spelt out! Lol!

So... DH and I had a MASSIVE row last night right in the middle of sex!!
He is convinced it’s onkt for baby making because I’m not making my usual effort... which is true but neither is he! Last night his foreplay was ‘I’m going to do you... after I’ve ironed this shirt because I don’t want to get up any earlier!’ Now my DH has a thing about making me ‘O’ first (usually not a problem!) but last night all I could think about was the lines starting to appear on the test and I wasn’t in that place.... cue him STOPPING(!!) to argue with me!! Went to sleep unfinished :( I’ve been raging about it all night so decided to wake him up with me giving him a hand which meant we finished the job... but now I feel really pissed off and can’t say it because I drew a line under that with a shag this morning!! 😡
Anyway... ANOTHER high day (fucks sake) but I think the OPK I did is reasonably strong (not positive yet I know) but does it mean anything if it’s ALMOST positive??? And I used FMU which I know isn’t recommended??

Oh Rose that's what I thought with previous pregnancy! All before that I was getting BFP by 8dpo (why I am a POAS addict). It's hard because you know if you're hopefully then you are lining yourself up for a fall.

Rose68 · 10/01/2019 08:57

I am 10 dpo and I have never had a bfn at 10 dpo and been pregnant, so I know there is no chance. It’s what I expected but there was still that tiny bit of hope and it still feels shit.

Great news about the opk @Tigsy.
@Frazzle thank you for your lovely words.
@awakestnight lovely to hear from you!

I must dash, really need to sort house out for estate agent photos at 12 😩

Frazzlerock · 10/01/2019 08:36

Oh @Rose there is still time, we are only 10dpo. you may not even have implanted yet! I know it is not useful getting your hopes up, but still... FWIW I feel exactly the same re being the last one left, it does worry me, but none of us know. Besides, we will all be here for whoever is still waiting, no matter what. My personal feelings are, that person can be as shit as they want to me if they need to because I know how hard it is to want something so bad and how it messes with your head and makes you resent everyone no matter how happy you are for people. If I'm last, then I like to think I am safe to be a twat to everyone Grin because the bottom line is, that person isn't me, it is my desperation screaming out.

Yay @tigsy for ov! What's the test looking like today?

@Kinsters same for you, you may not even have implanted yet if you are preg. In the immortal words of George Michael... You gotta have faith.

@Prosecco I hope AF finally shows up properly, how annoying for you!

@awakeatnight hey! totally cool you are watching and not saying much. This group is for all of us to do whatever the hell we like. I wondered the same about GP, I wasn't offered anything and wouldn't know what to ask for.
I wish I'd done something in the 6 weeks I have waited for results to come through.

@BettySwoll0cks wowzers, that's a lot of the red stuff. I gave 16 vials of blood after our 2nd MC and everything came back normal! Except my egg reserve which, thanks to PCOS and virtually no AFs for so many years since puberty, came back the same as a 21 year old. I'm not sure how useful that. I have shit loads of eggs but they are now 39 years old... Hmm.
Sorry, that sounded a bit 'Top trumps' re amount of blood given, not meant to be! I was just empathising Grin

I'm feeling a bit shit about sharing my news yesterday with a group of close friends, plus my mum and sister. I may as well have mentioned that I am wearing trousers today instead of a skirt. That news was huge for me. Maybe I expect too much. One friend (from the close friends group) did message me privately and noticed that no one really said much and convo moved on immediately so all is not lost. It does make me wonder about the friendship in that group. They all moan about their problems all day everyday and I always have something to say or try to help. but when I have some huge news it's kind of ignored.

Oh well, this is why you lot are so amazing! Flowers

I have a temp dip this morning so not holding out much hope for next few days. Gone down to 36.76 which is still way above coverline and in line with my preg cycles, but those dips really get you down don't they? Or is that just me?

TwittleBee · 10/01/2019 07:55

Oh Rose Sad you never know though. FX for you still. I didn't get BFP with last pregnancy till 12dpo!

Kinsters · 10/01/2019 07:54

Sorry Rose. How many dpo are you?

Rose68 · 10/01/2019 07:26

BFN 😡

awakeatnight · 10/01/2019 07:23

Hi everyone. I feel bad that I've just been lurking without much to say on here but now have a question so showing up again!

@BettySwoll0cks it's a question about your comment about GP blood draws yesterday but really grateful for anyone that can chime in.

Basically my RMC referral came through and isn't until April! I'm looking in to some private testing but also wondering what my GP might be able to do much sooner than April in terms of testing.

Any insight on what I can ask for and how to ask for it? I'd like to give her a list of tests if possible so that I know she knows what to cover given that she's not expected to me a miscarriage specialist.

Thank you - your comments and chat are keeping me partially sane and i find you a great support even though I haven't really participated much, so I hope this is ok xx

ProseccoBee · 10/01/2019 06:55

@ratherbe and @frazzle think the Af thing is definately just messing me about before getting going properly! Still having major cramps and some spotting but nothing that I could class as a proper period! More like spotting than anything else but my abdomen definately feels like it’s coming! Hope it rocks up at the weekend when I can lie on the sofa in my own misery haha.

@twittle agree with everyone else I don’t think any of us would be stress or panic free in our next pregnancy so offload away!

Same to everyone else have a good old rant when needed that’s what we’re all here for!

Kinsters · 10/01/2019 03:15

edidxb yeah it's super early! I had ridiculously early lines before so I was hoping I'd see the same this time. I don't know of the old tests we're faulty or what but I did loads of them pre and post o and could see a super faint line from 4dpo which I know is totally ridiculous because implantation couldn't even have happened. It must have been a false positive but it was so consistent. The tests I have this cycle are a different brand though.

Yay for the weekend! But boo for busy days. I get to finish early today as I have a late afternoon meeting about 5 minutes from my home so there's no point going back to the office when it finishes 😁

edidxb · 10/01/2019 02:07

@Betty - 8 vials of blood!!!! Wow - I think I would faint if they took that much from me. I'm glad you got your referral though now.

@tigsy - that is progression from a blank test so something is happening!

@kinsters - sorry it was a negative test but that is super early. Plenty more chance for something to show up, but you're right. It's unfair and rubbish.

Right, Thursday now and the final day of the week for me. It's been busy and long and I'm tired and today is going to be just as long and just as tiring. But then it's the weekend!
Have a good day all.

Kinsters · 10/01/2019 01:24

edidxb I love woman's hour! Turning into my mother...

Tigsy that looks quite close to positive to me, definitely do one in the morning. And get to BDing!

I did a test this morning and of course it was negative (5 or 7dpo). I dont feel confident about this cycle at all though. On the cycles I got a line my temps were so regular and smooth and also higher. Idk. It just feels so unfair, we should all be pregnant right now and we're not. Plus you're right, the naive joy of a positive pregnancy test has been taken away.

TwittleBee · 09/01/2019 19:36

tigsy make sure you pee in the morning on one in case you miss the surge! Mine goes from negative to positive real quick usually! Certainly looks like progress considering how clearly negative the previous ones were!

It's a good thing you asked Betty ! Glad you're all referred now though

Thank you Pegase and everyone else too, appreciate the understanding and support.

tigsyboo · 09/01/2019 19:13

That’s great news that the referral is made @betty! Keep pushing!

@twittle.... I will be a nervous wreck when I get my BFP. I said to DH I’m so so sad that a positive test will never mean pure naive excitement again :(

So... did my standard ‘just had my tea and now time to wee in a pot’ OPK routine ... and there’s definitely a line! Fished the last two days out of the bathroom bin (minging but necessary!) which were both clear negatives and I think there is a progression although not a positive yet.
I’m looking for honesty... If it means nothing please tell me I promise not to sulk lol! 😂

BettySwoll0cks · 09/01/2019 18:14

Crikey I feel like a pin cushion without acupuncture, I gave another 8 vials of blood this morning to test for factor V and something else (can't remember) - the only 2 remaining blood tests that the GP could order that I haven't already had. I'm glad I went, she hadn't done the referral letter to the fertility clinic but she has done now. I would've been waiting forever!

Probably will be waiting forever for my appt to come through but it's progress.

Pegase · 09/01/2019 18:10

@TwittleBee don't feel like you can't celebrate your BFP- I can hand on heart say that I am so happy that someone from our July group has got pregnant again so quickly and wish all of us similar happiness in the coming months!

edidxb · 09/01/2019 17:33

@Rose68 I have them in tablet form too. I have one which I take 2 tablets 3 times a day and the other is 8 tablets 3 times a day! Both are meant to be good for circulation.
I took the 2 tablet ones last time but the 8 tablet ones are new! They're pretty small but that's 24 tabs a day!
In the month I had acupuncture before I noticed my general body temp was much higher than normal. But they also told me (same this time) not to drink cold water and to eat as much of my food hot as possible. I'm still drinking cold water but I have stopped eating cold food for lunch.
We'll see......!
I find it very relaxing though the actual session and usually fall semi asleep. Although I do have a big bruise on my abdomen from when I went on Sat.
Good luck with it!

Rose68 · 09/01/2019 17:11

Sorry about my earlier wobble ladies, I should be 15 weeks pregnant by now and instead facing the prospect of not getting another chance. I will of course be so happy for all of you when you get your bfp’s but I can’t help wondering how I will feel when I’m the only miserable sod left.

I have managed to stuff my face with a load of chocolate and Christmas cake today, so loads of sugar which of course is really not good for ttc.

@edidxb you make a lot of sense, thank you for that. I just need to remember my age 😞. I have some herbs, but in tablet form. The other ladies on the 40+ thread mainly seem to be drinking them rather than taking them. I also got pregnant very quickly with acupuncture, but not the first month. I only had one session before ovulation in the first month, so I wasn’t expecting it to work that month. I got pregnant the next month.

@Twittle I think how you are feeling is how every one of us will feel if and when we get a bfp. I know I would be a mess. It’s so so hard. x

Frazzlerock · 09/01/2019 17:05

@tigsyboo I understood what you meant, and I'm sure everyone else did too. You're worrying too much! 😘

OP posts:
edidxb · 09/01/2019 16:49

exactly @tigsyboo I'm CD5 today, still got AF, got lots of spots on my chin and just feel a bit gross....not ovulation issues, but issues nonetheless!! Hope you release the egg soon and then AF could potentially be yours too!

tigsyboo · 09/01/2019 16:46

Oh ffs.... I’m still messing this up
I wasn’t saying I was leaving because I wasn’t happy for you guys...

Jesus maybe I should leave I can’t even type!! 😂😂

tigsyboo · 09/01/2019 16:42

Omg... important typo..
I WASNT saying I was leaving.....

tigsyboo · 09/01/2019 16:41

Just to clarify I want saying I was thinking of leaving because I wasn't happy for everyone who was progressing... I was just wallowing and thought I was holding everyone else's discussions back talking about ovulation issues ... but then soon realised you lot are exactly who I want to talk to about those things!! Hope I didn't come across as negative to those of you having wonderful signs and symptoms!! 😢

edidxb · 09/01/2019 16:16

Evening all.
So, I've recently got into listening to podcasts on my drive home as the traffic is driving me mental so I have been listening to a few episodes of Desert Island Discs (which I love and I think is a sign I am in my late 30s!) Anyway, I downloaded an episode on Womens Hour from BBC and listened to it on the way home today and it was all about the "two week wait"! It was actually based around IVF and the 2WW when you know you have the chance of life in you, but was fascinating nonetheless. The thing that I took away was that they (panel of 3) were saying how important it was to have support while you go through everything fertility treatment. Preferably in real life but acknowledged how hard that is, and if not friends on the internet! Which is what we are. So I saw @tigsy said she was thinking of leaving but I do think we are a massive support. It's going to be hard when some of us get pregnant and others take longer but I think without this group I would have found it much much harder to cope with. I look forward to coming back from work and catching up on the days news even though I can't engage in actual conversations as I am online at a different time to everyone else!!!

@Twittlebee - one day at a time, that's all you can do.

@Buggles1 welcome back!

Excellent work @Betty with the NY resolutions. I have also restarted all my supplements and eating a lot more healthy. Although we cracked and had pizza tonight - but every other day at lunch and dinner has been great!

@Frazzle I am so pleased you got to find out the sex. I wish I had asked as I never realised I could?! Sorry about the genetic issue, but like others said at least you don't have any of the blood issues etc......not that anyone needs the "at least......." I should know better!

@Rose68 that's interesting about the acupuncture.....I also restarted this week and will go tomorrow for my 2nd session. Are you on any herbs too as well as the needles? I have heard great things about reflexology as something different to try maybe? I got pregnant the first month of doing acupuncture last time so I am keeping the faith this time around even if it takes more than one month....
