@Tigsy I am taking pregacare conception, so I would take them off you, but I’m also very happy for someone else to do so as they might actually have more chance than me.

@Ratherbe If I get a bfn with a frer at 10dpo I would count myself out. I know you can get bfp’s at 8 and 9dpo but I wouldn’t count myself out with a bfn that early. I have noticed with frers that I can sometimes see the line where the second line should be if it was there (if that makes sense). It looks grey in colour, if it’s a bfp there is always a hint of colour to the line x

I am just off for a very short run, I will be back with more soon x

TwittleBee · 15/01/2019 08:53

oh Frazzle my heart breaks for you. And I totally understand that odd feeling to some extent about having to justify wanting another baby so bad when you already have children. I really hope your PCOS is gonna stay better for you now and that you will get there. DP won't change is mind will he, do you have a niggle that he might?

Frazzlerock · 15/01/2019 08:43

Morning all.

I'm having a shit time right now. I think this AF has hit me hard but I'm sure it;s because of AF hormones. Still, I just feel miserable. For some reason I still have my 16 week midwife appointment in the calendar and I noticed yesterday it is still in our team calendar at work. I don't know why I was confident enough to write it down.
It's now been almost exactly 3 years since we said goodbye to our first little one together, and I can't quite comprehend how I'm still here, 3 babies down, 3 years later, and not holding our beautiful baby.
I feel like all anyone ever talks about at work or in DP's family are babies and I want to scream at them all to Shut The Fuck Up!
I thought I'd convinced myself that I'm not angry at DP for the 2.5 years of hell I went through while he refused to try again (ever), but I can't help but wonder why someone would put another human being through that. I think about all the times I wanted to end my life despite knowing it would fuck up my boys lives. I mean, what if I actually went through with something?
And now I worry that DP will change his mind again and I will be back there. When I told him I'd started my period he did a sad face but I know that sad face is for me and I don't think it affects him at all that I am not pregnant.
I'm tired of this desperation now, I'm tired of seeing so many people around me just have babies like it is human nature - oh wait, it is.
I live in fear of the next preg announcement that, once again, won't be mine. and it will most likely be someone who has had one already in the past 3 years of my hell.

I feel shit as I know some of you do not have any children yet, and I can't explain my way out of why I feel like this and yes, as people around me, tell me I should be grateful for what I have.
All I can say is I am eternally grateful for my beautiful boys, they are my entire world (and probably the reason I am still here) but when you finally meet the person you want to spend the rest of your life with after a shitty 10 years with someone you didn't, and then by some miracle you are expecting a baby for it to be cruelly snatched away three times you just feel so completely empty.

This is my first AF since we lost our little boy and I just feel so so shit. I had so much hope for that cycle. We BD'd at the right time and we have never had so much sex that entire cycle. For anyone else, that would have resulted in a baby, but not me.
I have so many worries, PCOS being shit again, DP changing his mind, DP not 'putting out' when the time comes around again this cycle, not ovulating, releasing another shit egg, results from our blood tests coming back as incompatible or some such bollocks.
I honestly don't know what I would do if I never get to hold my rainbow baby.

fuck I'm a misery today.

I took a test as i was leaving for work (so 3rd morning pee) and it is clearly a BFP, so so so much better than past couple days with FMU! I am so confused. GP has no appointments left for today so won't be able to discuss whats happening. Spotting stopped too at least. Also chucked my guts up this morning at the smell of tea so taking that as a good sign.

tigsyboo · 15/01/2019 08:10

And pegase..... yey for peak
Mines been high all cycle and now day 22 and temps suggest I’m out the window now.... read that once you are 3 days past peak / Ov you can reuse old sticks as readings don’t matter then anyway.... got 2 left so will be saving them and reusing till Af (which I’m convinced is the only outcome this month) x

tigsyboo · 15/01/2019 07:47

Morning all
@rather yes it’s embarrassing all round, although my colleagues think it’s hilarious and we’re reminding me to buy some fruit for the fruit bowl and check there is milk and cereal (standard social worker checks)! Tbf he’s not too bad (I’m not a social worker fan.... police are much less fluffy and I’d rather someone talk straight!!) but it’s still irritating asking me to rank our happy home life on a scale of 1-10!! Yes mate... erm I think I’ll go 10 thanks because I can’t really say “about a 3 at the min because DH is being a knob, I’ve just lost a baby, and I swear to got if I tread on another piece of a Lego model I’m gonna launch that shit straight through the f**king window!!” ..... 🤔.... no I stuck with “oh it’s definitely a 10 here, we are all so happy living as a family at last!” 😂😂😂😂

TwittleBee · 15/01/2019 07:46

Rather that bloomin sucks. You might not have implanted yet though. Most implantation happens at 9dpo! Although I got a BFP at 9dpo recently, my previous BFP wasn't until 12dpo!

Kinsters · 15/01/2019 07:45

ratherbe I think a FRER is considered definitive at 12dpo by most of the TTC communities I've seen so you still have a few days. For what it's worth I've found ics to be insanely sensitive and got really early positives (though one was a chemical). If you've had more than one line on an ic I'd be inclined to think its a positive but wouldn't rule out the possibility of a chemical.

Really hoping its a positive for you.

ratherbeshowjumping · 15/01/2019 07:30

@tigsyboo what a rubbish situation. Considering your job, I'm sure they're equally embarrassed to be visiting you. Sounds like it should be resolved soon?

@InDreamland welcome back. I have no knowledge or experience with fertility testing I'm afraid. I'm sorry that you haven't conceived by your dd yet - that's one of my biggest fears - sending lots of love xx

@Pegase you still have time tonight!!!! 😬

I did another test this morning & I'm pretty sure the one I did yesterday was an evap line or a faulty test as this one is a very clear BFN. I'm 9dpo so should get something on a FRER shouldn't I, if I was pg? 😫

ProseccoBee · 15/01/2019 07:29

@edidxb that’s such a sad and awful story! I hope she has lots of lovely friends to help her during this horrendous time. The poor thing can’t even imagine how you would cope with that.

@ratherbe 52 is no age! So sorry and so sad.

I found out yesterday that one of my friends at work her husband had a stroke at the weekend and apparently his speech is badly effected. He’s only 53 and he’s really healthy in himself. I could cry for her because it’s their first grandchild first birthday next week and this will put a right dampener on it. It does just go to show you that you can’t take anything for granted.

TwittleBee · 15/01/2019 07:09

Don't worry Pegase you have between another 12 and 48 hours before you ovulate anyway, DTD tonight?

Pegase · 15/01/2019 06:25

Argh- peak this morning! Knew we should have DTD last night. So tempting to not go to work and have important baby-making shag!

Kinsters · 15/01/2019 00:52

edidxb that's such an awful thing to happen. Can she even fly back home or is she too far along? Hopefully she has some support around her.

Tigsy that's a kind offer, I take pregnacare conception but live in Malaysia so the postage would be uneconomical! Sorry about the social workers, that must be hard.

InDreamland I have no idea re the NHS timescales. Sorry you've been feeling down, I think the significant dates must be so much harder. We were going to announce our pregnancy at Chinese New year so I'm not looking forward to that.

Pegase Would he just do a quick baby making shag?

Pegase · 14/01/2019 22:23

Welcome back @InDreamland

Sorry I don't know much about fertility testing but I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will have the answer.

Am getting v annoyed with DH- as I suspected would happen, he is over all the extra DTD and now can't be bothered/is too tired. But I don't know if I have ov'ed yet or not so could end up rendering this cycle completely wasted if I can't convince him to get on with it soon !'Angry

InDreamland · 14/01/2019 21:41

Hi ladies. Not been on MN for around 10 days as AF arriving hit me hard with it being our last chance now lost to be pregnant by the time due date of first baby confess around. Dreading Friday next week. Finally took the plunge and contacted a private clinic for testing as after second loss in November I really need answers now. Does anyone know how long it takes for NHS to provide copies of all test results I have had related to fertility? Do I ask my GP for them even when the tests were ordered through gynae clinic? The private clinic say to bring to initial consultation.

I'm going to try and catch up on here.

Hope everyone is well and riding this crazy journey better than I am x

tigsyboo · 14/01/2019 21:30

Oh my what a sad sad thing!!
Makes me so sad

Had a bloody awful night with social workers coming to see the kids before the final court hearing... even though it’s not me that caused this it’s their crazy mother I hate having bloody social workers in my house!! Makes me so angry she brought this on us!!!!

Hope you are all ok ladies
Much love!!

Oh is anyone using pregnacare conception.... have around 45 tabs I’m not going to use I’m happy to post to any of you save them going in the bin??

TwittleBee · 14/01/2019 19:57

Oh that's so heart breaking edidxb Sad reminds me about my family friend, something similar. She was pregnant and her DP passed away in his sleep unexpectedly (only in their 20s). She named their daughter after him Sad

Rose68 · 14/01/2019 19:00

@edidxb that’s horrid, the poor poor lady.

And @ratherbe, to lose your Dad at age 52, that is so awful. It’s wrong that people can die so young.

It does really make make you think doesn’t it.

xx

ratherbeshowjumping · 14/01/2019 18:29

Stories like this terrify me.
My dad was passed away very suddenly, he had a nap on a hot sunny day, had a heart attack in his sleep & never woke up, aged 52. In my teen angst, the last time we spoke I slammed the phone down on him. Anything like this really scares me. You just never know what's around the corner.

Feeling very jealous of your evening alone @edidxb - I always let the dogs on the sofa, order in Thai & spend the evening reading my book completely uninterrupted when Dh goes out/away. Absolute bliss 😍

edidxb · 14/01/2019 17:18

It's just awful. The healthcare here is pretty good as a whole but things can happen at any time.
I am sure more details will come out tomorrow. Sorry to bring the mood down but I love how you decided to text your husband @ratherbe to say you love him. I am home alone tonight and will do the same!

ratherbeshowjumping · 14/01/2019 17:15

Oh @edidxb that's devastating. I hope she gets the support she needs. Is there much in the way of that in Dubai?
I was genuinely going to post about how my DH has pissed me off today but stories like that make you realise just how precious life is and to be grateful for everyday. I've just text him to tell him I love him instead Sad

BettySwoll0cks · 14/01/2019 17:10

Oh gosh @edidxb that's completely tragic 😔

Frazzlerock · 14/01/2019 17:07

@edidxb just awful 😢

I think I need to try and be more militant in what I eat. I am usually pretty healthy but since my first miscarriage in March last year I have slowly put on lots of weight in comfort eating.
I need to get a grip and was doing pretty well until this crazy week of work has started and I am eating badly and drinking alcohol. I need to really get a grip.
I am taking supplements to try and improve egg equality though and also eating spinach, pumpkin seeds etc to be good. I am jst eating cake, crisps, pizza and wine as well........

Anyway, in other news, and this is actually really really sad. I've just had a whatsapp message from my work chat to say that a lady at work's husband has just died tonight. She is 8 months pregnant and is due to give birth in the next week or two...........he went in for heart surgery and it went wrong, ended up in ICU today and died tonight. I just feel so sad for her. Especially in Dubai where you are far from home. She isn't British but most of her family are in a different country. Truly awful for her. And now she will have to give birth and grieve all at the same time.

Sorry to share the news, and I know you don't know her but just had to share.

Frazzlerock · 14/01/2019 13:36

@ratherbe I agree! For me it is also about PCOS though sadly and I know that sugar, dairy, and wheat gluten are the worst for that. My cycles are far better when I cut that stuff out, especially sugar and dairy. And I can live with it knowing it isn't forever, unless making a baby takes forever of course!
I think if it were just for egg quality I wouldn't be quite so militant. Plus I'm not bothered that much. I'm not a huge foody person. I mean I love food but happy to eat boring stuff so long as I get a healthy baby at the end of it. Now and again I will treat myself if alternatives are awful.

I also find that if I start eating things with sugar in I end up craving it all day. I find it's best to avoid it if possible!
