Frazzle maybe just pounce on him then without the mention of TTC as it might just be too much pressure on top of his job to think about trying to make a baby? Just until things settle down? As for his job, I am not sure, I know you dont have full employments rights for first 2 years... they could also say he doesnt fit the team and try to get rid of him that way (that is what they were gearing up to do at my last job because I was honest with them, I ended up handing my notice in as my colleague gave me the heads up)

Frazzlerock · 23/01/2019 09:25

Sorry @Dreamland I totally missed your post while I was writing mine. I hope you are okay xx

@Twittle I already do all that stuff everyday, well cooking dinner. We are already both pretty romantic. It's not like he doesn't want to do it, just that he is so worried about Thursday. Hopefully after the meeting all will be fine. they can't just fire him for being honest surely!? He thinks they will make up some policy like 'not allowed to swear' or something else ridiculous, just to get him out.

that is super tricky Frazzle ... my DH usually likes being told when I am in ovulation window BUT work pressures make him go very cranky. Would your DP be similar? Maybe thinking if his job isnt secure how can he think about BMing? Does your DP take well to romantic gestures, e.g. cooking his fav meal with some nice drink, giving him a massage once the kids are in bed that could lead to more... You could say you are doing it to help relax him after the job stress rather than to lead to DTD?

I am so sorry it is that time already for you InDreamland I really hope it passes as easily as it can

Betty good luck giving it up! it will most likely help! but have a lil drink to help pass AF if she turns up again

Frazzlerock · 23/01/2019 08:52

Morning all,

Great news @Twittle! Please don't wait for us to ask how you're getting on. If you have good news re your pregnancy, then share it. Don't feel bad about it!

Oh @Tigsy, this is a right rollercoaster innit. Test again? I'm glad your DH is on board with SMEP.

I am desperate to chat to DP about TTC. I want to ask him if he wants to know when I'm in my ovulation window or if that would be too much pressure. Last cycle we BD'd every other day from the end of AF right up until after ovulation, but we've now gone 3 days without BDing.
I'm only on CD10, but DP is really depressed right now because his work are being cunts. He's stressing about being fired as he has a meeting with the HR director and his boss on Thursday and no one is telling him anything and his team are ignoring him. He's got a pretty senior role but no one is allowing him to do his job and he feels like he's being pushed out. He's done nothing wrong except be honest with people, but they don't like honesty there. They only like people who are happy to go along with everything. He's only been there 7 months and the culture is totally different to his last job of 15 years. I'm hoping he is being paranoid. He has form for blowing things out of proportion.
I'm selfishly petrified that if they do push him out, he will pull the plug on TTC. I can never admit that to him though Sad

I could be only days away from ovulation and I need him to be in the right frame of mind, but it's looking bleak. We were all geared up for BD last night, then he went for a shower (as he'd been running) and his mood plummeted while he was in the bathroom and we did nothing.
He apologised. I know it isn't his fault and he is scared, and I am totally there for him. But secretly I'm miserable and anxious about not getting pregnant again this cycle.
I've waited 3 years for this, and we have been TTC for 7 months now. I'm just so tired of never being the one to be able to share our news, except 'We've lost another baby'.

I thought getting stuck into wedding planning would distract me, but that's causing me stress now. Hen do planning is proving difficult as I have to rely on other people who seem to have higher priorities so can't commit to anything in 2020, despite me giving them over a year's notice.
I've stopped looking at dresses as they're all way too expensive and I can't find anything second hand that I like.

UUgghhh.

Hi ladies. Sorry not been on for a few days, been so busy which isn't such a bad thing with due date of first baby approaching on Friday. So far this week morning I've only had one breakdown.

@Twittlebee congrats! Fx for a healthy sticky bean!

@Kinsters hope you can squeeze in a trip to Cameron Highlands.

Thanks for all the posts about all the supplements. I'm only taking feroglobin now which has iron, B12 and folic acid. Don't think the pregnacare conception did anything for me. Strangely 6 weeks after I started taking feroglobin I fell pregnant with our first after the 5 years TTC and DH is convinced it's all linked. I've continued to take it mainly though because I worry about my iron levels and handy it also has folic acid in and it.

BettySwoll0cks · 23/01/2019 08:15

I know! I can hardly hear myself say the words. But I really think it's been screwing up my body 😔

tigsyboo · 23/01/2019 08:09

Thanks Betty....
no alcohol.... fuck that!! It's the only thing gets me through the BFN phase!! X

BettySwoll0cks · 23/01/2019 07:59

I am giving up alcohol completely. I had a couple of glasses of rose last night (left over from the wknd, and DH was out for a curry) and I have had the most torrid night, have hardly slept at all going hot and cold all night. I think it messes with my hormones more than I realised, so I'm def cutting it out completely now.

BettySwoll0cks · 23/01/2019 07:57

And that's why the tww is such agony! You don't get anything conclusive during that time (and esp for you when it's not that straightforward to read your chart - although it does look like you ov'd around CD19 to me). Patience! (She says - hypocrite)

tigsyboo · 23/01/2019 07:47

Sorry ladies
I honestly expect one day I’ll open my notification and it will say ‘tigsy, piss off now yeah?!’ 😥
For what it’s worth I’ve never (knowingly) had this before if you recall.. and last month AF just popped up out of nowhere to ruin Xmas! 👍🏼
It’s so hard not to get your hopes up isn’t it!!!! I feel like each test I do I’m like ‘right, that’s it! I’m out!’ Then the day day my overthinking brain goes ... ‘or are you......’ and that’s it... day ruined!! 🤔

Thank you all. I’m so glad you are all here (if you know what I mean 🙄). Xx

TwittleBee · 23/01/2019 07:36

So true Betty !

TwittleBee · 23/01/2019 07:35

Also if you did implanted on 9dpo, just before temp started rising, would make sense why you haven't seen a BFP yet

BettySwoll0cks · 23/01/2019 07:35

@tigsyboo this is the most agonising tww ever (for everybody on this thread!!) The only thing you can do is keep testing ...

ratherbeshowjumping · 23/01/2019 07:32

@edidxb glad you two are back on talking terms... there's definitely something in the water at the min...

Are you able to do another test @tigsyboo? I started temping the day AF arrived & it was 36.71. It only came down the day after x

TwittleBee · 23/01/2019 07:26

Yes tigsyboo AF still can come with high temps, can't remember who is was on here but they said they're temps don't drop till AF is here.

But, if that was my chart (and that's the key thing, everyone's own pattern differs but does tend to be the same each cycle) I would be excited, thinking implantation might have happened a couple days ago and hence the rising temps now.

tigsyboo · 23/01/2019 07:14

Wtf lol

The July 19ers - STILL never beaten, and rocking our FJs for a lucky thread
tigsyboo · 23/01/2019 07:14

I'm getting really frustrated with my cycle...
temps gone up again today

Could it be that I OvD MUCH later than cd19?? I don't think it would be that as I got LOW on cbfm around CD22 and temps jumped and stayed high??

I was convinced AF would be here by now.... can it still come with high temps??
@TwittleBee I know u are the expert lol!!

Just fed up of it now (I know I say this every day... sorry.... imagine how DH feels living with me!) 😂😂

edidxb · 23/01/2019 02:16

@twittlebee - that's fantastic news about the scan. I am so happy for you. We like good news on this thread, as it give us hope so thank you!
@Betty that's really rubbish about having to move, just in general without the whole TTC thrown in too.. fingers crossed you get your BFP in the next few months.
@ratherbe - oh no, not an argument with you too. Something in the water at the moment. I hope he comes round to the error of his ways. We are talking as normal now, but no BDing not that it matters on CD19!!!
@pegase - yes I do think it makes a big difference when they start school. I also read Malcom Gladwell (can't remember which book - maybe Outliers?) where he discusses the successes of people and when their birthdays are. HOWEVER, my DH has his birthday in August and was the youngest in his year at school. He was bright, sporty and social and got good grades, went to a good uni and got a great job so it didn't hold him back. My birthday is in January and I moved to Scotland when I was 13 and their system is different as their measure from Feb so I became the youngest in the year group and was fine. I went to university was I was 17 and noticed that I felt younger but it was all fine in the end.

ratherbeshowjumping · 22/01/2019 21:45

That's so shit Betty, it really is surely they can understand how tough that will be on your DS?

I get it, but it's shit x

Ahh @tigsyboo that's good 👏🏼 fx'd it will provide something to focus on aside from the courtroom stress 🤞🏼

Dh & I have had a massive argument tonight - he thinks we are doing all we conceive... we've dtd twice since the mc 😳....

tigsyboo · 22/01/2019 21:31

That sucks Betty
Wouldn't explaining about ttc change it?? Surely human right 'right to a family life' could be twisted to fit this??

I understand what it's like being in a mans world... unfortunately many of my female colleagues aren't exactly interested in baby making (with men- if you get my drift!) so it makes the likes of me look 'a problem' and they refer to us family women as 'family friendly fluffies' which is most unfair, but that's my world!!

DH has promised to do SMEP plan next month. He understands it's during court and said he will stick to it.... we will see!!

BettySwoll0cks · 22/01/2019 21:17

*SAHW. Wtaf is up with my typing thumb? Sorry.

BettySwoll0cks · 22/01/2019 21:16

*SAHM. Although a SAHMW (midwife) would've been handy this last year🙄

BettySwoll0cks · 22/01/2019 20:52

@ratherbe no, unlike most of my colleagues I don't have a SAHMW who can relocate with me, so I'll have to go alone w DS. I'm a woman in a man's profession sadly!! I have managed to get out of this move for the past 4 years nearly, it's catching up with me now. I stupidly thought that 18months would be enough of a buffer - 3 mc's have proven me wrong 😔

Pegase · 22/01/2019 20:13

I think being the youngest in the year has a fair impact when they start school but obviously the impact lessens as they get older. Studies have shown that summer born achieve slightly lower on primary school assessments (but as ever with these things, there are other studies that claim the reverse or that it is not statistically significant).

The difference between a child who has just turned 4 in Aug and a child about to be 5 in Sep is often quite marked though. Only because they have to be in the same fixed class together.

ratherbeshowjumping · 22/01/2019 20:06

Oh @BettySwoll0cks that's so rubbish. Is your DH not able to join you in Swindon? Do you have to go? There is still plenty of time (I completely understand the pressure though).

@TwittleBee congrats! I'm so happy for you. It sounds like they're keeping an eye on you too. That's great 🤞🏼

@edidxb that's really interesting you say that about an eldest in the year child. Do you think it makes a big difference? I know lots of people do actively avoid nov/Dec to avoid August babies.

@tigsyboo it's not stupid to think about stuff like schools etc, I think it's good to have a plan & the sort of situation like that would keep me up at night worrying!

@Frazzlerock I wish we did have crystal balls. It would make life far less stressful. I genuinely considered going to see a medium the other day because I can't cope with not knowing when I'm going to be a mum. That's absolutely nuts isn't it 😂
