@Betty that should all have been done automatically.
Mind you, when I lost EMily they didn't cancel any of them and I had them calling me and sending me reminders. I was furious.
This time I asked them if all my appointments would be cancelled and they assured me that this time they would! (different hospital this time so I'm sure they'd have done it anyway)

A big hug @rather. The sadness can creep up seemingly from nowhere and knock you on your arse, can't it?

@Frazzlerock you've reminded me I need to phone the midwives and cancel my 16 week appt. I'll have to steel myself for that phonecall.

Frazzlerock · 25/01/2019 10:01

Why do I always miss a load of posts when I post!

@edidxb wow, are you a reptile? Wink Those are some cold temps! But your chart is looking nice Grin. I don't know about thyroid. I have an underactive thyroid but it has been under control for years now thanks to Thyroxine. Mind you, I do get very cold and HATE being cold. My hands are always freezing and I'm usually the last one to feel warm on a hot day.

@rather oh it sucks so much doesn't it. I've actually lost track of my weeks but I think I should have been 17 weeks last weekend or this weekend, given my 16 week MW appointment was last week.
It is not surprising you are struggling. We can think we are okay and then it hits us again, big time xx

Ah @BettySwoll0cks it does sound like you may be ill? Hope you feel better soon!

@Frazzlerock glad DP seems ok! Fx'd for him! I'm glad he's so positive!

Had a complete breakdown this morning. I should be 17 weeks today 😢

Frazzlerock · 25/01/2019 09:11

Morning

@Betty where in your cycle are you? Do you have a chart you can share?
You do sound ill though. BTW I had to google Carry Underwood, I still have no idea who she is Grin But good news for her!

@Rose is it okay to take OPKs in the morning? I thought they had to be taken later on in the day? I guess if it is negative in the morning when wee is most concentrated, then that is a deffo neg. When does DH go away? Is it tonight?

I seem to have a higher than usual temp this morning. Just above ovulation temps. It may be a fluke, but do you think we should get BDing tonight just in case? Maybe with some fertility lube for good measure... We BD'd last night and I shoved my Ovusense in afterwards so hopefully that held some of his boys in Grin
I'm on CD12 so it would be early for ov compared to last cycle and preg cycle. But my cycles aren't exactly reliable Hmm

Re DP, he is doing alright now. Actually seems on great form and has gone ploughing into job applications. I think he's realised how much better he can do and all the opportunities there are out there.
Plus if he gets a job in the next couple of weeks, he will still be getting paid from his last job for three months so maybe we can have an awesome wedding after all! Grin

Here is my current chart. I think the higher temps pre ov were because I am not sleeping that well. But you can see on average how low my temps are. And also how AF started and then my temp dropped. This is 2nd cycle post mc currently....

edidxb · 25/01/2019 08:56

@betty - that does sound high. Are you still on AF or did it finish.? You must be slightly ill.
I am different as I have a low BBT as a whole. When @Frazzle said the other day she was at 36.0 and dead - that's a normal temp for me before OV and after it can be just 36.3......
I have read that thyroid issues can affect fertility and they can affect BBT but I haven't looked into it in detail yet.

Rose68 · 25/01/2019 08:22

@Betty sounds like you are slightly ill to me.

Negative opk this morning so I’m glad we waited.

BettySwoll0cks · 25/01/2019 06:38

I'm in a flap about my BBT. It's ridiculously high. It was 36.8 for the past 2 days and today I'm 37.3???? I do have a really sore throat, could that be it? Or is it because I get woken roughly every hour by DS shuffling about in my bed? I'm now worrying that this will affect fertility. Am I going mad?

BettySwoll0cks · 24/01/2019 23:07

Just read that Carrie Underwood has had a baby boy after 3 mcs. Good on her. I always find it encouraging when celebs talk about it.

Pegase · 24/01/2019 21:49

Sorry to hear bad news for your DH @Frazzlerock How does he feel about it?

I have serious metal mouth today. Who was it who said they get metal mouth every luteal phase? Am only 8 DPO I think. Have had minuscule amount of spotting every day since ov though. Why are natural cycles so weird. Life was so much easier on the pill!

Rose68 · 24/01/2019 21:27

Thank you Twittle and Rather.... Yes I have ewcm... we have decided to wait until the morning.... I’m not sure there’s much point dtd only 9 hours apart.... I’m sure whatever I do will be the wrong decision. 🤪

BettySwoll0cks · 24/01/2019 21:16

@TwittleBee I am a believer in fertility lube too. I've used it once in my life and got pg. T'is magic ✨

ratherbeshowjumping · 24/01/2019 20:52

Just catching up through... first of all @Frazzlerock I'm so sorry, that company sound like twats. I hope your DP is ok. If he wants a hand looking for a new role, a friend of mine is a recruiter for Product Owners, I'm sure he'd be happy to help him out.
It's really shit, he's far better off out of that company by the sounds of it though

@tigsyboo no wonder you burst into tears. I'm so sorry 😢

@BettySwoll0cks I'm glad all tests came back ok, but rubbish that you've got nothing to go on must be really frustrating for you.

@Rose68 I'd say dtd tonight & tomorrow morning. Do you have any EWCM? The month I got BFP was the month I didn't use opks either, just trusted my gut!

TwittleBee · 24/01/2019 19:59

Hmmm... Could you do both?

TMI warning below!

I guess I just know how much falls out of me after even 15 minutes of laying down. For months I was still getting up, after only laying down for a short while, to wash myself etc but then a conversation striked up on an old TTC thread I was on about those who sleep with it all still in or not and it made me recall time we conceived DS (1 time we didn't have protected sex) we were drunk coming back from a night out on holiday and I just stayed in bed and slept through and sorted myself out next morning (I remember as I felt guilty about messy sheets for the cleaner). The times I have been able to sleep with sperm in me close to ovulation have been the times I've seen a BFP. That and the fertility lube I am convinced have helped me each time. Now just need to make the baby stick all way through!

Rose68 · 24/01/2019 19:47

But if ovulation isn’t until Saturday, isn’t it better to wait until tomorrow morning? I will only be able to lie down for a shortish time tomorrow, maybe 15 mins.

TwittleBee · 24/01/2019 18:41

Well I guess now you know it is legit Betty . Hmmmm those tests are a good sign I guess but also bloomin annoying, like you said, you've nothing to change now to help

TwittleBee · 24/01/2019 18:40

DTD tonight (and tomorrow) so then you can sleep with the sperm in you all night Rose68 unless tomorrow you can lay there a good while in the morning?

Rose68 · 24/01/2019 18:33

I’m trying not to bd until tomorrow morning as DH then goes away, or should we do tonight and tomorrow morning.... it’s so hard to know what to do. I’m not expecting ov until tomorrow or Sat, but my tummy is already feeling a little bloated.

BettySwoll0cks · 24/01/2019 18:16

Yep I counted my CP as mc2. Wasn't sure if that was really legit but I declared it because I was in the process of mc3 and was desperate to get help.

All my blood test results came back today, everything completely normal incl the coagulant, Lupus etc that I requested. I guess that's a good thing but it still doesn't give me anything to go on 🤔

TwittleBee · 24/01/2019 17:05

I guess it's because when I looked for support on here with my first MC everyone was so dismissive and saying it's just a CP we etc and how everyone gets them etc so really thought NHS wouldn't want to know about it! Feel so silly now for not mentioning it to actual medical people Frazzle

Frazzlerock · 24/01/2019 16:53

@Twittle I've always assumed CP's were MCs. In fact I think I had one (my 2nd MC). We lost that one the day I got my BFP. I've always classed that one as a MC, never as a CP and even if I did, I wuuld still class a CP as a MC. It's still a positive preg test and a baby. No matter what stage they died xx

edidxb · 24/01/2019 16:34

@Rose68 - do you monitor your cervical mucus? If you still have some and it hasn't gone creamy you should still be Ok?

edidxb · 24/01/2019 16:33

Oh goodness me - @Frazzle I am so sorry about your DP. I know he is better off out of there like you say and hopefully he can find another job during the next 3 months. More opportunity for BDing if he is not stressed with work? Just trying to look for a positive. Wow - what a 3 years you have been through. Just one of those things would be trying for anyone, never mind them all added together. I am so impressed with your strength x

@tigsy - oh crap. I'm sorry. No wonder you burst into tears. It's just really shit when you get your hopes up. Welcome back to the FF gang! I also had high temps when my AF started this month.

My FF confirmed ovulation today on CD17 so I am on 3DPO today. I am beyond tired. These last 3 weeks of work have been so mental and we have to go in tomorrow (the weekend) from 8am-12pm. I just want to curl into a ball. I went to acupuncture today after work and you get changed into the gown and lie on the bed until the doctor comes in and I almost fell asleep just waiting for her to come in!!

Rose68 · 24/01/2019 16:31

Well I have done my usual no temping and no opks so far, I’m currently cd12 and now I’m having my usual stress that I’ve missed it. I would have normally done an opk on cd12, but I forgot 🙄
