I don't know what strep throat is really, go and see the GP and see what they think. Only take them if you need them (I'm sure you know that already though Grin)

I've just been to the GP re my mid cycle spotting (on @twittle's recommendation) and she has taken a look at my cervix and said it looks healthy, and taken a couple of swaps for infection. Should get results early next week. She thinks it is probably my body settling down after my surgery but to keep an eye on any pain over the next couple of cycles. I've not had any pelvic pain or weird discharge (I barely even get CM FFS) so she thinks it most probably isn't anything sinister.

It's great this isn't it, having doctors and sonographers constantly wanting to stick their probes up my fanjo. At least it gave me another WFH day Grin

What's the weather like were you are? My car said it is -5 and I had ice on the inside of my windscreen earlier. Brrr.... Drive safe people.

Well amoxicillin type antibiotics are safe during pregnancy so they should be ok. Googled this only yesterday

tigsyboo · 31/01/2019 09:39

I'm really sorry to ask a question at this time while we are all worrying about twittle... but google hasn't helped....
I think I've got strep throat / tonsillitis (but have no tonsils).... I'm cd 8 and could Ov anytime in next 10 days - is there any antibiotics safe to take that won't fuck up my chances this month??

Frazzlerock · 31/01/2019 09:13

I hate that the hug emoji has a massive smiley face on it.
I'm not grinning like that! Just wanted to give you a big squeeze xx

FX Twittle
Are you going now?? X

TwittleBee · 31/01/2019 08:55

EPU said I have to be referred by my MW so I phoned her and she said go straight to A&E. 😫

edidxb · 31/01/2019 08:38

@Twittlebee I am pleased it has stopped for now. I hope you are OK.

Rose68 · 31/01/2019 07:54

@Twittle definitely ask, or even for tomorrow before the wedding. Let us know how you get on, thinking of you x

ratherbeshowjumping · 31/01/2019 07:27

Glad it's stopping Twittle that's a good sign. I'd call around today and explain the situation - somewhere may be able to get you in. If not are you able to book a private scan? They often do weekends xx

Pegase · 31/01/2019 07:13

Often they don't do weekends but some do walk ins on the day that you can self - refer for.

Hospital website usually offers advice on this.

TwittleBee · 31/01/2019 07:09

Thanks Betty, I'll ask if I can. Do they scan over the weekend though? I can't imagine how they'll fit me in today?

BettySwoll0cks · 31/01/2019 07:04

That's better news @Twittle but when you phone the EPU ask them for what you want - if you want to go in earlier than next Tuesday then ask them xx

TwittleBee · 31/01/2019 06:56

Slight amount of spotting this morning only, so not heavy at all... I will give EPU a ring but imagine they'll say just come in on Tuesday when my next scan is anyway.

I've got to be a bridesmaid tomorrow and idk how I'm gonna cope trying to be happy if this bleeding continues

Pegase · 31/01/2019 06:29

@TwittleBee how are you this morning? Don't forget it can go either way with bleeding- I had bright red gushes with DD1 and it was fine. I know we all on this thread have seen it go wrong but hopefully this is just a false alarm. Do you have any cramping or anything?

Kinsters · 31/01/2019 02:16

I think my BIL has been to Dishoom and liked it. My current fave restaurant in London is Bocca di Lupo, it has the best pasta I've ever eaten.

Kinsters · 31/01/2019 02:12

Fingers crossed for you Twittle. I agree with the others, try and get to the epu if you can x

BettySwoll0cks · 30/01/2019 21:47

@twittle I am sending you positive vibes too. Can you make yourself as comfortable as possible for tonight, try and rest and then call the EPU tomorrow?

tigsyboo · 30/01/2019 21:30

@TwittleBee keep calm
It could be nothing.... it's probably nothing.
Relax.... Adrenalin and high blood pressure won't help.
Positive thoughts - it will be ok xxxx

ratherbeshowjumping · 30/01/2019 21:08

Oh Twittle. Don't panic (easier said than done, I know). Are you still bleeding? How heavy is it? X

Rose68 · 30/01/2019 21:07

@Twittlebee oh shit.... can you phone epu and maybe get a scan tomorrow? I really hope everything is okay and I am keeping everything crossed for you. xxx

TwittleBee · 30/01/2019 20:46

Trying to not freak out. Just been to the loo and I'm bleeding and had a massive gloop of discharge that's blood streaked. Looked like a mucus plug and I wouldn't usually be worried as it came away all the time with DS but I'm only 7 weeks and there's bright red blood....

tigsyboo · 30/01/2019 20:31

Sounds like a foody day!!
I'm just in Glyn Purnells restaurant in Birmingham..... lush!!!!
DH seen some work colleagues and just saying hi so I'm having a catch up on here.... 👍🏼

Pegase · 30/01/2019 18:27

Dishoom is ace but significantly more expensive than Wagamama's!
