Hi everyone, would you say this was a positive ovulation test? I did one the Wednesday night and it was negative(no test line atall) I forgot on the Thursday due to a mega busy day in work then I had this test in the picture on Friday morning.

I'm 26 and TTC our first one. Just had a negative even though I had strong implantation pain and my period is late - I think it might have been a chemical pregnancy since my cycle is very regular. Now it will be our 4th cycle trying, I know it's still early but I just feel so sad and frustrated since we have been planning for this so long. It feels like I lost my patience already two years ago. I also feel extremely lonely since I only have friends who have unplanned children (which feels so unfair) or who don't want children yet or at all. I'm glad my boyfriend is 200% in this with me and very calm and reasonable. Sorry for the depressing message, I just had to talk to someone since we don't want to tell anyone that we are trying. 😊 I hope the best for you guys!

Hi all,

I just wanted to quickly let you know about a digital meetup that might be of interest to some of you. We're holding a meetup with our brilliant fertility experts (Dr Linda Farahani and Katie Dalrymple) next Monday - where you can ask any questions you have about fertility or trying to conceive (no taboos here!) 💪💪

The event will be on Monday 4 March at 7pm UK time, and will be free to attend.

Linda is a fertility specialist from Imperial College London and has helped many women on their fertility journey. Katie is a nutritionist from King’s College London, specialising in maternal and infant health.

Spaces are limited, so please do sign up here if you're interested - www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/adia-talks-ask-our-experts-all-about-fertility-tickets-57329341604

You can submit your questions in advance (and can choose to do anonymously if you'd prefer). Or you can just tune in, listen to the discussion, and ask whatever comes to mind!

We're creating a safe space for women to share their experiences, challenges and speak to leading experts.
Hope you can join us,
Rose

Tryingforno2 · 25/02/2019 17:57

@MrsE95 I'm crossing everything for you! A bfp for all us 3 would be lovely over the next few weeks 😌xx

MrsP4 · 25/02/2019 17:14

Thank you girls I've not had any more since this morning so it's definitely not AF I'm really thinking it was implantation but don't want to get my hopes up AF DUE weds so we'll see

MrsE95 · 25/02/2019 16:25

@tryingforno2 I’m currently 4dpo and promising myself I’m not going to go crazy this cycle. 😂

@waiting2bmum I’m doing okay thank you just chilling with it really and it feels good not obsessing! 🙈 how are you doing? Xx

Tryingforno2 · 25/02/2019 14:09

@MrsP4 yep implantation is 6-12 days so still defo in with a chance x

ChloePD · 25/02/2019 11:47

@MrsP4 I've been told by the gynaecologist that saw me in hospital this week that implantation can happen as late as 12 days so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!

MrsP4 · 25/02/2019 09:40

@Waiting2bMum AF due weds had a tiny bit of spotting yesterday at 11DPO and today 12DPO I went to the loo before and was pink on the tissue when I wiped think its too late for implantation, I feel like I can feel AF there

Tryingforno2 · 25/02/2019 08:48

@TheatreMumma I think I've done the same (the clues in my name 😂) oops I've only just realised xx

Waiting2bMum · 25/02/2019 08:42

Tested this morning and BFN! Think I might be on the March bus! 🚌

Waiting2bMum · 25/02/2019 08:40

@TheatreMumma Hahahaha don't be silly!! There was too many threads that had similar titles so I had to put that meaning first thread😂😂we are all in this together now no one is leaving😂😂xx
@ChloePD glad things are better for you! Let us know how you are and your home safely x
@Tryingforno2 bless you, stay strong!! All will be fine😘mine says ovulation today but I'm not tracking or anything this month need a bit of time out xx
@MrsE95 how are you? Are we cycle twins still😂yes we all had a terrible February, roll on the next xxx
@Hopefulprincess that's ok. Yes myself, @MrsE95 and @Tryingforno2 all ended up pregnant the same time but all unfortunately lost our pregnancies😔😔I was on the same pill as you for 11 years had no periods at all in the time. I was awful when I stopped the pill, was really ill and cycles all over the place. It took me 14 months to fall pregnant after stopping the pill, that ended in a miscarriage, then again in November and then again February. Good thing is I'm falling pregnant but they aren't staying😔😔I would suggest taking seven seas folic acid if your cycles are irregular that's what I started then fell pregnant after 2/3 months of taking it. Just haven't had a sticky one yet😬😬xx

I've also only just realised that the original thread topic was ttc #1 - hope you don't mind me totally hijacking!! I'll make up for it by answering any questions if I possibly can! 🙈

TheatreMumma · 25/02/2019 08:14

Glad to hear you're out and relatively ok now @ChloePD.

Welcome @Hopefulprincess! I came off Mercilon in Oct. I've been on bc on and off over the years but have never had a regular cycle. I only had 2-3 periods a year at one point so it genuinely felt like a miracle when I became pregnant with my son!

I'm so glad ectopic has been ruled out @Tryingforno2. A very small comfort. I think you're supposedly more fertile after a mc so maybe that will bring some luck?? I'm on cd 29 with a cycle that currently falls somewhere between 25-34 days so waiting for AF (most likely) any day now...

ChloePD · 25/02/2019 08:04

Finally discharged from hospital and waiting for medical clearance to fly home Grinseems as though I ovulated on the 20th (my birthday) and so should expect AF soon (no chance I'm pregnant because of the ruptured cyst).

Hoping the next cycle is good for all of us, good luck to everyone BiscuitThanks

Tryingforno2 · 24/02/2019 23:06

Well my bloods cane back today and have dropped to 15 so that coupled with my other symptoms has now ruled out an ectopic pregnancy. Back on the bd bud for us, we've been talking and we both just really want this and we are just going to keep going, I'm going to pee on an ovulation stick this time every day from when i stop bleeding until I start again and see what this cycle does as I think they can sometimes be a bit messed up after a MC, we will be bd-ing as and when we feel like it but not stressing over it this month.
@MrsE95 @Waiting2bMum how are things with you? Where are you guys up to this cycle? And you @TheatreMumma ?
@Hopefulprincess sorry to hear about your trouble with pcos and best of luck with ttc are you in your 2ww now?? We all turned into crazy ladies during our 2ww last cycle 😂😂 xx

Hopefulprincess · 24/02/2019 18:26

I agree 🙌🏻 Good luck to all xx

MrsE95 · 24/02/2019 13:12

There has been loads of bad luck in February! I’m hoping March brings lots of good luck and BFPs with the start of spring. 😁 xx

Hopefulprincess · 24/02/2019 10:03

I’v just read back I see some are having a hard time :( really sorry your going through these things.
Curious as people mentioning pill, which one are you coming off from? In the past 9 months I’v had 2 mc on cerelle (Cerazette?) I thought it was supposed to stop pregnancy and well I stopped taking it completely end Jan had withdrawal bleeding 3 days later for around 4 days then tested opks every day to check for ovulation. I have pcos and it’s never been a problem until this past 12 months, had so many cysts burst which is painful and turns out that pill isn’t ideal for me but doc said it was ok 🤷‍♀️

I think contraception is awful with what it does to our bodies 😓
Congrats on the bfps I’v just seen aswell 😍

Hopefulprincess · 24/02/2019 09:49

Thank you @tryingforno2.
Where is everyone at in ttc?
This is my first cycle since October that was ‘normal’
I had a mc end sep but was on birth control then my appendix burst 🙈
I got positive opks 18th and 19th morning and not symptom spotting - honest ;)

Waiting2bMum · 24/02/2019 07:13

@Tryingforno2 I know me, you and @MrsE95 have had a rubbish time haven't we! I'm glad that we have all Ben able to support each other through our difficult time. Onwards and upwards. All 3 of us will have our time💖aww bless you, just take it steady though don't other do it xxx
@ChloePD I am so sorry to hear that, must be awful while you are away. Take it steady and I hope you feel better as quickly as possible x
@Hopefulprincess Of course you can welcome😊😊fingers crossed for TTC x
