Hi ladies,

I suffered a silent miscarriage end of October and was just looking to start a thread for ladies in a similar position to me, who are trying to conceive at the moment. Would be lovely to have some support and guidance.

xx

I’m still getting BFN, through have just read and interesting article.
That the info on the HPT is very accurate.
Only around 5% get a positive before AF and about 50% will get one just after a missed AF.
Most accurate 2 weeks after AF should of appeared.
Would send you all a link, but for some reason i can’t.

Em39ma · 15/01/2019 22:25

@chocolatecake.
I was still showing HCG at the beginning of December, my miscarriage was around the 20th of October.
So it could be from your miscarriage.

chocolatecake08 · 15/01/2019 21:54

@pandaobsessed

This is the issue im having, clear blue positive and £3.50 tesco ones negative.

pandaobsessed · 15/01/2019 21:40

Just a little heads up... I was told by my Surgical Management nurse and doc from when I had a miscarriage, that the best pregnancy test to test with is a cheap one from Amazon. Apparently that's the ones they use. They said not to trust Clear Blue and some of the other top brands!

@Dianebz1

Just a thought i had a missed miscarriage and had surgical management of miscarriage on the 2nd of November do you think its possible my body is still picking a pregnancy from that?

chocolatecake08 · 15/01/2019 20:37

@Dianebz1 im going to hold of testing, but the waiting and worrying definitely makes you want to spend every pound on tests👊🏻x

Dianebz1 · 15/01/2019 20:32

@chocolatecake08 let me know how you get on, I'm not testing tomorrow as the midwife says to leave it a few days.

Can't help but worry, it's awful ❤️

chocolatecake08 · 15/01/2019 20:22

@Dianebz1 ^^

chocolatecake08 · 15/01/2019 20:21

Im going to go to asda tonight did you get the first response test in the box saying 6 days before or the one saying results after 45 seconds?

I will do, you too. Easier said than done but try not to worry❤️

Dianebz1 · 15/01/2019 20:18

@chocolatecake08 I would defo test again, I think it's very rare to get false positives. Keep me updated on how you get on, very best of luck 🙏🏻🤞🏻

chocolatecake08 · 15/01/2019 20:15

Im the same with the water intake..

The clear blue was my 2nd wee of the day and after i finished work at 5pm

The negative was late last night as i couldn't waste and FMU this morning so i am at a loss.

Fingers crossed for you.

@Dianebz1

chocolatecake08 · 15/01/2019 20:13

@Dianebz1 I tried to add a photo for you to see but it wont allow me to add as i havnt been a user long enough..

My clear blue one is darker than yours however the tesco one is negative so unsure if a false positive?

Dianebz1 · 15/01/2019 20:12

@chocolatecake08 I do however drink an awful lot of water so the midewife thinks my urine might be diluted?? I can drink up to 10 pints easy in a day, just finding it hard to stay hopeful at the moment x

Dianebz1 · 15/01/2019 20:09

@chocolatecake08 Iv just took this photo 2 seconds ago so you can see how it still looks x

chocolatecake08 · 15/01/2019 20:03

@Dianebz1 ah how awful having 7 you must be filled with worry. Your bottom clear blue test looks how mine does, have you kept a hold of the test did any of yours by the end off the day go really faint with the positive line turning thin? (Not the best explanation) xx

Dianebz1 · 15/01/2019 19:59

@chocolatecake08 I got mines in Asda x

Dianebz1 · 15/01/2019 19:58

@chocolatecake08 I phoned my midwife this morning because of my tests being so faint, Iv had 7 miscarriages in total so I just wanted reassurance ..she booked me in for an earlier scan and said not to worry because I'm not cramping or bleeding but my tests are giving me much hope. I'll add the picture. She said any positive is a positive so I'm hoping that's the case for you also x

@Dianebz1 ^^

chocolatecake08 · 15/01/2019 19:57

Where can you get a first response? I had a look in different shops last night and couldn't for the life of me find one?

Dianebz1 · 15/01/2019 19:54

Sorry @chocolatecake08 Iv totally misread you message! Never experienced false positives but hold onto hope and try another brand, I really recommend first response x

chocolatecake08 · 15/01/2019 19:53

@Dianebz1

All my love❤️, no it was a non Digital the one that shows with a cross. But then had a negative test this morning. I am trying to hold of a week and test again however the worry is killing me. Have your periods been regular since the MC?

Dianebz1 · 15/01/2019 19:49

sorry just to jump in, I'm so sorry for all your losses ..baby dust to you all 💐

@chocolatecake08 I also had a MC at the end of October, I was due AF at the weekend but it didn't arrive, Iv took 2 first response and 1 clear blue but they are very faint so I'm not holding on to hope sadly 😪 back to my previous MC, I used first response and clear blue ..is it the digital your using? I got a negative digital result with clear blue previously but then tested a few days later and got a positive. Good luck and I wish you the very best of luck 🤞🏻

glowingtwigs · 15/01/2019 19:46

Thank you @pandaobsessed I'm feeling especially rubbish today as AF is due tomorrow and I'm sure it's going to come right on time and we will be on to cycle 6 after mc. I'm finding it all just so stressful and I'm 38 soon so that's making it all worse.

Re your question, I have a 27/28/29 day cycle and not dependent on the cycle length it seems sometimes I ovulate day 11,12,13 or 14...It tends to be a few months I stay at one day then it changes. I usually start opks from about day 8. I had funny ones this month though, not quite positive and those lasted ages Confused

chocolatecake08 · 15/01/2019 19:40

@mummybear

So sorry for your painFlowers

mummybear · 15/01/2019 19:27

Hi ladies
I'm very new to here but hoping being around people of similar experiences will help.
I've been TTC for 2 years next month. At first we were very laid back about the whole thing as I had actually had an accident and had surgery on my ankle but 2 years on and it's getting very difficult to get through a single day without thinking about it all.
I miscarried may 2018 which took some time to get over but since then we have had nothing.
Only recently have we decided to seek medical advice and I've started ovulation strips which have only confused the situation as my body seems to be all over the place.
Fingers are crossed for you all
