Hi all! My husband and I have decided to start trying, I’m 24 and this is our first time! How long did it take for everyone? I understand it’s different for every person but I love hearing people’s stories!

DD1 conceived on my honeymoon (unplanned - I should have paid more attention in PSE) when I was 34
DD2 conceived 1st month of trying 2 weeks before my 36th birthday
I’m also v lucky!

First month of trying first time around. We were very very lucky. We've only just started trying for our second.

  1. First month of trying
  2. Third month of trying.

I count myself very lucky.

5 years and a round of IVF. I was very put out by the fact that as a teenager it was drummed into me that if I so much as looked at a penis unprotected I'd be pregnant and there I was doing a lot more than looking and it just wasn't happening.

Took 9 months. Stopped the pill in Dec 2017, conceived Sept 2018 and currently 16 weeks pregnant with my first.

Five months, aged 36.

It took us just under 2 years, of which the first 15 months were spent trying to make my cycle start up again after coming off the pill. Then we had several months of clomid (with support from fertility clinic) and we finally conceived just before giving up on that and starting IVF.
Currently 19 weeks and hoping to have our little girl in late May ☺️

3 months using ovulation tracking and preseed lube! We were very lucky

Roughly 3 1/2 minutes....second time round 12 months.

Got a bfp after four months but sadly ended in miscarriage, altogether it's been 20 months of trying with no other bfp.
I think they say 80% of couple conceive within the first year the OP
I wish you all the best!

Now TTC for 5 months and nothing yet

loveskaka · 02/01/2019 12:25

Took me 10months after being on pill for 9years. Had a fantastic pregnancy and loved the labour (I know I am weird) I must say I did have an easy labour, but my boy was 6weeks 4days early weighing 5.2! I am only 4ft 11inch so I think he done me a favour tbh! . Now sitting with my beautiful 1yr old! Times flys!

I conceived on the 4th cycle after having my iud removed, sadly ended in miscarriage at 8 weeks so I'm back to trying.

PodgeBod · 02/01/2019 12:23

It took me 6 months to conceive the first time but 3 1/2 years to conceive a successful pregnancy. I was 23 when I had my first.
