Hi all! My husband and I have decided to start trying, I’m 24 and this is our first time! How long did it take for everyone? I understand it’s different for every person but I love hearing people’s stories!

First month of trying for both my pregnancies (28 and 30). We have to be super careful with contraception when we're not ttc!

weegiemum · 02/01/2019 15:16

First time 1 month
Second time 2 months
Third time wasn't trying (had mirena that failed.

I know I was very lucky.

Jiglian · 02/01/2019 15:14

2nd month after coming off the pill- very lucky. Working out when ovulation days may be I think helped.

IRememberSoIDo · 02/01/2019 15:10

Dd1 1st month trying
Dd2 1st month trying (ended in late mis)
Dd3 1st month trying
We are ridiculously fertile and extremely lucky as have had friends and family go through hell trying.

Best of luck!

E20mom · 02/01/2019 15:06

First month. We were lucky.

Trippedupagain · 02/01/2019 15:02

Age 34 - 18 months, age 38 happy surprise not even trying...

Mumoftwoyoungkids · 02/01/2019 14:57

About 20 minutes. Grin

Ok - seriously - dates were a bit messed up as I had been on the pill for over a decade but there was less than 10 months between last pill and first gas and air.

fatbrows · 02/01/2019 14:53

First month trying and we weren't even trying that hard. Still don't believe it sometimes and I'm very grateful

BroomstickOfLove · 02/01/2019 14:51

1st month of trying both times (aged 30 and 34). Also had one accidental pregnancy in between which ended in very early miscarriage.

rabbitfoodadvocate · 02/01/2019 14:48

First try for us. We were very lucky. I'm 36.

2childrenandout · 02/01/2019 14:47

DD 2.5 years and 3 miscarrages
DS 1st cycle

mrsed1987 · 02/01/2019 14:47

I think.about 9 weeks! Didnt expect it so quickly after being on the pill for 12 years!

neversleepagain · 02/01/2019 14:44

I was (just) 33 and we conceived on our first go, fraternal twins.

Phoebesgift · 02/01/2019 14:34

First month aged 37 with my first child. I was shocked and freaked out. Second month with my second child aged 39.

Funnily enough, I started the menopause early aged just 43. I had no idea I had so few childbearing years left when I started.

CaMePlaitPas · 02/01/2019 14:28

It took us 15 months, no contraception before I conceived my first.

Then two months after I gave birth I fell pregnant with my second.

TheMagicTorch · 02/01/2019 14:27

Started trying just after my 29th birthday, conceived month 4 but sadly had an early miscarriage.
Conceived again month 6 and currently 25 weeks with a little girl, our first.

SirSidneyRuffDiamond · 02/01/2019 14:26

13 years.

juneybean · 02/01/2019 14:22

23 months and counting...

Babbaganoush · 02/01/2019 14:20

Oh and I was 27 when I fell pregnant. Had been using condoms and tracking my cycles for about 18 months prior to that so no hormonal contraceptives.

Babbaganoush · 02/01/2019 14:19

First month of trying. We were very lucky.

AutumnGlitterBall · 02/01/2019 14:05

Both times were second month of trying. Aged 33 first time, am 36 now.

SmallYappyTypeDog · 02/01/2019 14:04

Without even trying for first pregnancy age 40, but that unfortunately ended in miscarriage. Second time I got pregnant second month, we were not avoiding getting pregnant but we're not checking dates etc so purely coincidence we had sex at the right time. I was planning to wait for after Christmas before getting serious! I gave birth to a healthy girl at age 41. I feel very lucky given my age.

Cardiffclare88 · 02/01/2019 14:00

First month trying, but had go e off the pill a couple months beforehand.

MrsG010814 · 02/01/2019 13:59

Ds1 - 2nd month trying
Ds2 - 2nd month trying

HoldOnToHope · 02/01/2019 13:57

We weren't trying but weren't preventing for 2 months. I used ovulation tests on the 3rd month and we fell pregnant in that cycle. I was 27 when we got pregnant, currently 30 weeks pregnant x
