@Carly581 I can't remember my symptoms from last time very well and that was only 2 years ago, no wonder you can't think back a decade! Fingers crossed for you this month.

cosycashmere · 11/01/2019 21:09

@MrsPMT23 I'm tempted but still only have one (expired) test! Just been googling and seems like it's v likely to get either a false positive or false negative once the chemical has expired so I'm going to buy some more tomorrow... and then TRY to hold off until Sunday!
Are you going for it tomorrow? Fingers are so crossed for you if so. Sending lots of positive thoughts!!

Carly581 · 11/01/2019 20:26

Thanks and good luck to you to @mrspmt23 @heartvshead
I'm roughly 5/6 dpo I'm hoping I can wait till af is due but I know I won't so even 1 or 2 days before.
I'm feeling really gassy today.
My first pregnancy I was 19 and didn't know till I was 3months so don't know what my early symptoms were. 29years old now so even if i did experience some I probably wouldnt even remember because it's been so long. Xxx

MrsPMT23 · 11/01/2019 20:03

@carly581 good luck, hope you don't have to wait too long!

@cosycashmere are you testing tomorrow morning?!

Boobs still not hurting as normally do before AF and started waking up around 3am ready for the day and not able to get back to sleep. All really similar symptoms to last pregnancy 🤞

cosycashmere · 11/01/2019 19:15

@HeartvsHead yes first month this time round.
The problem with missing a couple of months though is that you could still get an early arrival (we did!) Could use that to tempt your husband to not have a break for timings?

HeartvsHead · 11/01/2019 18:40

@Carly581 when do you plan to test? Exciting/nerve wracking isn't it! Good luck.

@Naughtysausage, I know. I'm usually quite a positive person but when starting ttc the due date would have been May so feels like it's slipping further and further away.

Butterfliesandroses · 10/01/2019 20:04

Congratulations @ohsure !!!

Carly581 · 10/01/2019 17:04

Hi everyone, new here. Joining in on the chat for willpower to try and not test for a few days. I got a dark line on my ovulation test on Saturday the 5th. Then faint line by Monday so hoping all's good for me this month. This will be out 2nd cycle trying after a miscarriage in June where we found out we had a partial molar pregnancy. So I had a lot of blood work follow up after that and wasn't allowed to TTC. But we've had the all clear for 3months now and hoping it's not to long a wait

iano · 10/01/2019 16:19

Congrats @ohsure!

Naughtysausage · 10/01/2019 14:58

@ohsure Congratulations! Brilliant news.

@HeartvsHead don't be sad about a 2020 baby. Still plenty of time for a 2019 one to be fair, but if your dd is 2 (?) then she'll just be getting her free hours at nursery? Makes everything easier? Will always try and find a silver lining Grin

HeartvsHead · 10/01/2019 14:19

@cosycashmere thanks, me too! Is this your first month trying? You never know you might be the person to get pregnancy first time twice! Fingers crossed for you.

My daughter's birthday is the 23rd Dec so if it doesn't happen this month or next hubby is insisting on a two month break to avoid the Christmas period. That would then mean a 2020 baby which at this point seems so depressing... (though in my heart of hearts a baby is a baby whenever he/she makes an appearance).

cosycashmere · 10/01/2019 13:51

@ohsure wonderful news, huge congratulations! Xx

cosycashmere · 10/01/2019 13:51

Hi @HeartvsHead ! I'm similar to you, last time round was first month trying so although you know that's not the norm I found I sort of approached this time round partly thinking it could happen again when in reality I know it won't.
Have my fingers crossed for you that January is your month!

ohsure · 10/01/2019 13:12

Huge congratulations, @hodgeheg92 and @ttc12019!! I tested this morning and got a BFP - can’t believe it! Dog ate the bloody test so had to get another 😆

So sorry you’re feeling low, @outwards - keep the faith. Have everything crossed for you all xx

HeartvsHead · 10/01/2019 12:33

@Naughtysausage I find (as my username suggests) I switch constantly between being chilled about it and thinking 'It will happen when it happens, I know the odds of it happening straight away are low, it doesn't mean there is a problem' and 'omg why am I not pregnant!'

HeartvsHead · 10/01/2019 12:30

Hello,
I've been following this thread for a few days but finally got around to signing up to comment!
Been TTC baby no.2. since Aug. DD has just turned 2 and we conceived her the first month of trying so part of me was sure it would be that easy second time round. Not 100% when I ovulate as so far been trying to be casual about it (with the exception of my midnight mumsnet sessions) but if it doesn't happen soon I may need to get my head around the OPKs.
AF due 27th Jan so really hoping she doesn't arrive. I'm a teacher so a Sept baby would be perfect!
Good luck to all!

Naughtysausage · 10/01/2019 11:56

Bad luck @LaBelleSausage. I'm not sure how helpful it is to say there's no point worrying until AF arrives?

It's the beginning of my TWW and I feel much more relaxed than I did over the last few days. I guess because there's nothing more to be done? Anyone else feel like that?

LaBelleSausage · 10/01/2019 07:27

Did the expired test. Not even a hint of a squinter but the control line did work so o assume AF is on the way.

cosycashmere · 09/01/2019 20:25

@MrsPMT23 I'll try and keep you strong and putting it off until at least Saturday! Will also aim to do the same 🙈

MrsPMT23 · 09/01/2019 19:46

@cosycashmere my boobs also start to get really tender around this point but they're not at the moment 🤔 I'm going to try and hold off until the weekend to POAS I think. Thinking day 24 with a FRER. I've got loads of random tests hanging around though so who knows if I can hold out until then?!

cosycashmere · 09/01/2019 19:20

@LaBelleSausage the bliss of total ignorance! Totally get it. If you do use the expired one let's hope it's still a positive and that's followed up with one on an in-date test! Definitely let us know xx

cosycashmere · 09/01/2019 19:19

@MrsPMT23 hmm still trying to decide! I think I actually only have one test, leftover unused from last time so no doubt as it was 2 years ago I fell pregnant. I'm also so gassy and can feel mild cramps but the rational part of my mind tells me it's the same every month but I just don't notice it as I'm not looking for anything?

What are you planning on doing? And if POAS... which day?! Exciting!

LaBelleSausage · 09/01/2019 18:40

I’m CD25 and was going to PIA(expired FR)S tomorrow but I’m weirdly anxious about it. I’m sure I’m not pregnant, I don’t feel pregnant, but I really don’t want to know for sure that I’m not!

The FR expired on 5th August so I won’t believe whatever it says anyway, but I can’t just chuck it out unused!

MrsPMT23 · 09/01/2019 17:20

Haha how weird @cosycashmere when are you intending to POAS or are you waiting until AF due? I'm symptom spotting but feeling gassy, bloated and super tired like I did in the early days with DD.

ttc12019 · 09/01/2019 09:30

I'm thinking of taking a break from MN until I can start POAS as I'm currently in TWW.
I think it'll be better for my sanity as I keep checking too often on who has got a positive.
See you very soon xxx
