Anyone else fresh off the pill!?

Hi ladies!
As my DH and i habe decided to TTC I took the last pill in my packet on 17th December and had my breakthrough bleed start on the 22nd and end on the 26th. Now the wait begins to see whether my cycle snaps back to normal and of course whether I concieve! I had been on microgynon for circa 3 years.

Is anyone else in a similar position and entering 2019 pill free!? I thought this would be a good place to track and share our experiences as they happen!

@Sunshine8888 how long are your cycles usually? If you ovulated on 1st July would AF not be due tomorrow? I always thought AF came 14 days after ovulation Confused

Sunshine8888 · 12/07/2019 16:11

Hope you are all well ladies. I’m just in need of some advice.

I think I may have ovulated on 1 July as there was an obvious change to CM to what I think could have been EWCM

In the last week I have headaches, extreme tiredness, back pain and twinges. Absolutely no soreness to breasts though and no nausea. As I have a weekend away with a hot tub and drinking I thought I better test today and it was BFN. I’ve realised however I used a normal test and not an early response one so I guess it wouldn’t even show at this stage even if I had fell pg. This afternoon though I started feeling really queasy and dizzy. This could be because my head is so muzzy but in the back of my mind is that little what if... I don’t know what to do. Presumably as the test today was BFN it would be too early to do any harm if i carry on the weekend as planned? And then see how I feel next week? I guess if my cycles were starting to regulate AF would be due next week.... Or do you think I should test again with an early response just to make sure? Just to recap I came off the pill at the beginning of June, had a withdrawal bleed two days later and nothing since!

I’m aware that I sound like a woman obsessed and I do apologise but I’m going a bit mad here and have no one to talk to about this as keeping ttc a secret.

@whatsthecraic91 I will do and I'll definitely keep up with your updates! 🤞🏼 for this month😊

@PumpkinsMum18 thankyou, congratulations to u too! Only a few weeks til your scan then😊

Sunshine8888 · 09/07/2019 09:46

Hi @FirstTime93, I think it is normal. I haven’t even had AF since coming off the pill on 1 June but having read through this thread some girls were waiting months for their cycles to start and even then they weren’t necessarily regular for a while. It’s annoying isn’t it as impossible to tell if ovulating or not!

whatsthecraic91 · 08/07/2019 18:10

@Sunshine8888 thank you hun 🤞🏼X

Sunshine8888 · 08/07/2019 16:55

Also I don’t know how I missed your post @PumpkinsMum18 but congrats! What great news and also quite nice to know as far as 8 weeks along! Not so long to wait 😊

FirstTime93 · 08/07/2019 10:53

Hi ladies,
I was on microgynon for 2 years. I came off the pill in April this year and I got my withdrawal bleeding very soon afterwards which lasted a few days.
I then got my period 30th May which lasted 4 days. It’s been 36 days now and nothing. I just wanted some advise if this is normal? For the past week my boobs have been very sore, that’s the only symptom I’ve had so far.

Sunshine8888 · 08/07/2019 08:24

@whatsthecraic91, sending lots of luck for cycle 7 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Sunshine8888 · 08/07/2019 08:23

@Beddie11, sorry to hear you’re still worrying for second AF. I am also frustrated by lack of AF since coming off the pill, I’m now on CD36 waiting for the first one but have a horrible feeling it’s going to take a long time as I was on the pill for a good 16 years. It would just be nice to be able to track cycles! I just wish I had come off the pill ages ago, I was never told about the possible delays when coming off ☹️

wannabemum38 · 07/07/2019 23:48

Congratulations those with BFP how exciting and wonderful x

Beddie11 · 07/07/2019 22:31

@whatsthecraic91 ohh thats good that things settled quickly for you it must be nice to be able to track things properly!
Yeah i went to the doctors when i got to the 3month mark without a period but then it came and i assumed id be back to normal after the first one so didnt pursue anything, not sure if i should return. Maybe if i get to August and ive not had another then I'll go back xx

whatsthecraic91 · 07/07/2019 22:22

@Beddie11 I’m sure that’s really stressful, have you been to the doctors?

I’ve been lucky that my cycles have been regular since and have completely settled now to 28-30 days, but I am really disheartened this month as I was so sure it was going to happen! This is cycle 7 for me now. I’m so happy for everyone who has got their BFP it gives us all hope 🙏🏼

Beddie11 · 07/07/2019 21:50

@whatsthecraic91.. im fine. Had my first AF the beginning of may after stopping the pill in December and im still waiting for my 2nd one to arrive! Have no idea whats happening with my body im feeling really down about it. So happy for everyone else and their bfps but just feeling like its never gonna happen for me. How are you xx

whatsthecraic91 · 07/07/2019 20:44

@Beddie11 how are you getting on?

whatsthecraic91 · 07/07/2019 20:42

Beddie11 · 07/07/2019 20:25

@peaky297 nice to hear from you, how lovely to hear your having a little girl.. can't believe your 19 weeks already xxxx

PumpkinsMum18 · 07/07/2019 19:51

Congratulations to @Abi58 and @DaniX91 Smile

PumpkinsMum18 · 07/07/2019 19:47

Evening ladies Smile hope you have had a nice weekend! Mine has been quite exciting....

I have been feeling really tired and sick all of a sudden this week. I thought it was just a combination of a stomach bug/recovering from a boozy time away with friends last weekend! But then I haven't had a period for a while... my last cycle was 57 days and I was starting to get past that point for this cycle. So I decided to take a test yesterday morning and......

it was a BFP! Grin

I am still a bit in shock! No idea when I ovulated but according to my last period dates I am about 8 weeks pregnant!

whatsthecraic91 · 07/07/2019 18:28

@DaniX91 thank you so much 😊 I will keep you updated 🤞🏼And please keep me updated on how you are getting on!

I bought the seven seas trying for a baby today as I have heard good reports so I’ll see if that works for me - into Cycle 7 now!

Abi58 · 07/07/2019 17:39

@DaniX91 definitely worth looking at if you get nauseous!
I'm with you there mine look veiny with spots on and also slightly bigger (nipples seem plumper too 🙈)

DaniX91 · 07/07/2019 17:35

@Abi58 ooh that's good, I never woulda thought of that!
No I don't feel sick but I'm very hot and my head is pounding. Also seem to be getting veiny boobs, sooo attractive 😂

Abi58 · 07/07/2019 15:58

@DaniX91 are you feeling sick?

Abi58 · 07/07/2019 15:57

@DaniX91 😂 😂
That sounds good I've got the boots ones now :)
I am yes waves of nausea not been sick (yet)
I've bought sea bands from amazon meant to help stop morning and see sickness. Less than £7 and seem to be doing the trick when I wear them I'm noticeably less nauseous 😁🤞🏻

DaniX91 · 07/07/2019 15:37

@Abi58 you're an expert to me haha u get all my questions 😂.
Just been and bought the seven seas pregnancy ones.
Are u feeling sick?

Abi58 · 07/07/2019 14:04

@DaniX91 don't worry :)

I'm no expert but I took my conception ones (boots own) for about a week after finding out then stopped. I'm on food accord high dose anyway so carrying on with that. And getting the boot pregnancy ones hopefully today if they're in stock ☺️

Dr only advised the folic acid so rest isn't necessary I want it as it has things to hopefully help morning sickness and tiredness
