Anyone else fresh off the pill!?

Hi ladies!
As my DH and i habe decided to TTC I took the last pill in my packet on 17th December and had my breakthrough bleed start on the 22nd and end on the 26th. Now the wait begins to see whether my cycle snaps back to normal and of course whether I concieve! I had been on microgynon for circa 3 years.

Is anyone else in a similar position and entering 2019 pill free!? I thought this would be a good place to track and share our experiences as they happen!

A bitter sweet update guys... Aunt Flo has turned up today so any chance of a BFP seems to be out of the window for this month!
On the upshot, this would mean that I've had a 27 day cycle straight off the pill, which is nice and normal and so long as it stays this way I can track my cycle properly.
As I said, bitter sweet, but onwards and upwards!

Hi all

I went to see my nurse yesterday and she said as I was on the mini pill it can take 4 weeks to leave your system. Only then will your body restart it's cycles. I hoping by the end of the month all is well in the world.

Hi I'm not ttc yet, I've just had my little boy on the 23rd December... I'm going back on the pill at my 6 week check up... I want another baby (not yet but maybe in a couple of months) so it's interesting to hear your stories and how long it took for things to return to normal, I was on the implant before we ttc my little one but it took a loooong time to conceive him (7years) so I'm really worried about things taking so long next time

Hi everyone, just jumping in and wondering what people's experiences were with withdrawal bleeds?
I took my last mini pill (Cerelle) on 30th December. I was on cerelle for a year with no bleeding at all. Before that I had the implant for four years (on and off bleeding) and then cerazette for 18 months (again on and off bleeding).
In the first week I broke out in spots and saw an improvement in mood but no other symptoms apart from that. I was positive I was ovulating on January 12th as a I had a short burst of cramps and 12 hours of ridiculously sore nipples plus the egg white discharge. Anyway, long story short (or not really in my case!) a withdrawal bleed/ period started yesterday on the 15th!
It seems quite heavy and just like a regular period.
Is it possible to ovulate and then have a withdrawal bleed? Or as this is heavier, could this be a normal period and I ovulated earlier in the month?
It's all such a minefield!

@leleophants i had my last pill on the 17th december and nothing.. i guess time will tell. Are you doing any monitoring, ovulation kits, body temp or anything?i haven't but may start in the next month or so if nothing happens. Can anybody give me a brief rundown on how opks work? Xx

Is anyone thinking they may be low on estrogen? After coming off the pill in September Im worried this is why my periods are so light. This is just a guess. I was just presuming things will be fine TTC as having a regular cycle every month. I think you can google too much!!! CD 7 here so getting ready to make the most of my fertile window and hope for the best!!!

Period has finally arrived. My first real one for years, I hope it's not going to be really bad :( I had really bad ones on the pill.

Thanks ladies! Nothing since so I'm taking that as a good sign!
@baddie11 I think I'll wait until the weekend. If a normal period hasn't come on by then I think I'll test. I'd love to do one now, but I think it would be pointless as it takes a few days for the pregnancy hormones to start building up, so it would be negative pregnant or not. Waiting game time !!

The gap between ovulation and period is usually 14days, so sounds like it could be implantation bleed.

UPDATE! So, after some unusually light cramping over the last day or so (warning, TMI alert!) I went to the loo and there is a small area of light pink blood, around the size of a pound coin. I just went again and now there is a bit more, the same colour. It is not enough that there is anything on the tissue when I wipe so It is super light.
I guess the million dollar question is... a very light period or implantation bleeding!? It's 9 days since I had a positive ovulation test. Any thoughts?

I came off on 30th Nov. I know what you mean, at least I am not the only one. I'm sure there are lots of women in our position. Just keep thinking positive

@ttc2019babyno1 - nothing yet! Im the same, hoping for AF this week just so I know where I stand. If i dont see her this week then im going to test at the end of january just to rule that out also. I did test twice this weekend ( i dont even know why ) and they were both of course negative. No sore boobs no CM no nothing! Xx

It’s great you feel so good since coming off the pill, I hope that kicks in for me!
I’ve felt nothing since coming off, no signs of ovulating, no pains, nothing, I really hope I bleed this week! Fingers crossed, then I can actually check i’m Ovulating. If not, then I have no clue what my body is doing!

@Beddie11 how are you getting on? Any signs of anything yet?

Thought Id share....I came of microgynon in September and had a withdrawal bleed. Have had 4 periods now 3 of which were 28 day cycles and 1 was 31 days. I am currently on CD 5 and TTC#1 this month. Since coming off the pill I lost around 6 pounds,have a couple of monthly hormonal spots but feel 100% better!!!! So in tune with my body and much less moody! My periods are lighter now which is worrying me a bit but have been regular...wish me luck! Am 34 btw.

You are not alone, I am in the same boat. I have all sorts of symptoms that make me think I'm going to have a period (not sure what AF means).
I have also taken tests to make sure one way or another etc. I have no idea what my body is up to either

Hi all - Hope it's okay I join in!

Have DS who is 7, nexplanon for 4 years, nexplanon and loestrin for 9 months then rigevidon for 18 months(ish) I took my last pill (rigevidon) on 25th Dec, withdrawal bleed 28th - 2nd and now just waiting.

Have any of you felt any different over what could be ov? On Fri and Sat I was horribly bloated and had sensitive nips (CD14 and 15), Sun I had a pain on my right side for about 3 hours and then felt normal since.

No idea what my body is up to, trying to stay relaxed but already can't stop googling things! I'm taking seven seas trying for a baby pills and I've got fertility friend to help me track my cycle :)

I have had bad cramps and just a feeling of uncomfortableness down low and a sore back for the last 3 days now. At first I thought it was ovulation but now I’m not sure what it is! Leaving a pee sample in the doctors after work to rule anything out! If I had known what being on the pill done to your body I would never have taken it!! I’m so scared that the pill has masked any problems.

So I took another pregnancy test on Saturday morning as I still have symptoms and it was negative. I have really sore boobs, my nipples look different and my skin is also playing up. I also have bouts of indigestion and feeling a bit sick. It seems no-one who came off the pill at a similar.time to me has similar symptoms so I am super confused now! I'm going to try and wait it out now to see what happens as tests are so expensive and logically falling pregnant and displaying symptoms so soon seems so unlikely.i hate feeling like I don't know my own body!

FWIW I've heard that when you come off the pill, even if you don't get a 'normal' period straight away it doesn't mean you're not ovulating.
