Anyone else fresh off the pill!?

Hi ladies!
As my DH and i habe decided to TTC I took the last pill in my packet on 17th December and had my breakthrough bleed start on the 22nd and end on the 26th. Now the wait begins to see whether my cycle snaps back to normal and of course whether I concieve! I had been on microgynon for circa 3 years.

Is anyone else in a similar position and entering 2019 pill free!? I thought this would be a good place to track and share our experiences as they happen!

DTD! It sounds like what happens when you ovulate. You usually only have 24 hours

Hello ladies and welcome newbies!
Heading towards the end of my TWW now as AF is due on Thursday! I've been feeling a bit off with tender breasts, pain in my right side and some mild cramping and pinching down low, so I took a first response test last night which was negative. So, I thought it was just AF symptoms. Today I have an abundance of really thick white creamy CM... is this a thing? Do any of you have this before AF? Or could I still be in the game!?

Welcome to all the newbies too! I haven't posted in a while but I have been reading! Smile

I took my last pill (Cerelle mini-pill) on the 30th of December, had a 5 day withdrawal bleed from January 15th and am now just waiting for AF!
I had cramps 2-3 days ago which I thought was the beginning of it but no!
My skin has also been terrible the last couple of days. Huge cysts on my chin. I actually had a bag of peas out before!
This may be TMI but I've also spent the last couple of days with a pretty bad case of thrush. Not ideal! I've read that it can happen towards the end of a cycle due to estrogen levels.
Has anyone else experienced this? I really don't want to to be a monthly occurrence!

Hi everyone.

I stopped taking mine 29th Dec, had my bleed 4th till 7th Jan.

No AF yet but I have been on the pill for almost 10 years so assuming it make take its time. Had a lot of symptoms the last week that could be pregnancy related or pill withdrawl related so im going to take tests weekly until AF comes or I get a positive.

This will be our first baby so we are very excited/nervous/feeling a little unsure of what is to come!

I took my last pill on 3rd of Feb. Today should have been back on it after the 7 pill free days. I've been on some form of the pill on and off for nearly 17 years! I was taking it because of acne as well as for contraception but over the past few months my skin has been terrible. Mostly around my chin as well which reading up on is usually hormonal in cause so I'm curious to see what happens when I stop taking the pill. Last time I came off about 9 years ago before trying to conceive #1 my skin was dreadful & eventually had to use a topical antibiotic treatment which was the only thing that worked.

My big worry is when I came off the pill last time it was a full year before I had a period!! We weren't actively TTC then as we were planning our wedding & then moving. When my periods came back they were ridiculously long cycles - varying from 42 to 54 days!! I have absolutely no idea how we managed to conceive our DD because I had no clue when I was ovulating. We'd prepared ourselves for a long wait but actually were incredibly fortune to conceive within just a few weeks of trying.

So now on the one hand I'm terrified it will be a year before anything even happens, especially given my age (I'm almost 36). But on the other hand we also had no problems conceiving once my periods had come back so who knows? It could happen straight away and I'm not ready for that either! 😂

Our plan is not to actively try for a few months til (hopefully) my cycle comes back & we can save up a bit of money & get all the odd jobs done around the house so we feel prepared for baby number 2. I'm all over the place - excited, scared, worrying about TTC.

@kinsella82 fingers crossed for you too! Sooo normally a 28 day cycle youd ovulate around the same date each month is that right? Sorry that sounds super thick xx

Last month I thought I had what felt like ovulating pains on my lower right abdomen and now at the same time of the month I'm getting the same pain in my lower left. No ewcm yet but going by dates and app this would be the day I should be ovulating. So hard to know though. We've been dtd a lot so I'm hoping and crossing my fingers.

@gem1188.. i had my withdrawal bleed as normal straight after my last pill just nothing since. I seem to have EWCM again today? Is it possible that Im ovulating again? I last had this EWCM on the 19th of jan sooo 20 days ago xx

@beddie11 hang in there. I finally had my withdrawal bleed 60 days after stopping the pill.
I had all the same symptoms as you. It only lasted 3 days. I'm currently on day 16 of cycle (I think- I can't remember if the first day of you period is number one. Or the first day after is number 1).
Fingers crossed it happens soon for you 🤞

@kinsella82 thanks for the support its nice to have people to vent too! Its just so hard not knowing whats going on with your own body! Fx im actually ovulating then!
@ttc2019babyno1 hi! Im on cycle day 52 so we are very similar.. i did have one show of ewcm but just the one time so dont know if thats enough to have ovulated if you get me! I tested this morning and bfn so dont think its that! Have u had any signs of anything at all??x

So I got my period this morning 😕 35 day cycle.

So I went on eBay and bought some ovulation tests as this helped us last time round at least knowing you are dtd on the right days!

Ladies, get them on eBay, I got 40 ovulation tests and 10 pregnancy tests for £4.99 delivered!

I took my last cycle of pills starting at the end of December but I missed two days in a row while out of town so my final period was really light and weird - either it started 14 January with two light days, two days of nothing, one medium day, and one light day, or it started the 18th and lasted only two days! (Definitely not pregnant.) So either way, I'm waiting for my period to return, and once that's done we'll start TTC seriously. I'm 33 and I had been on birth control pills half my life because my cramps were so bad I'd actually turn greenish and vom, and painkillers did nothing. So I'm a bit worried what my first proper period off them is going to be like...Fortunately, my cycle was very regular before I went on the Pill, but that was 16 years ago, things change. Aaaargh, now I'm just obsessing that things are going to go horribly wrong! Confused

For the hell of it I used a Clearblue ovulation test this month and after seven days of high fertility but no peak I quit because I didn't want to use up too many sticks. So I guess something is happening in there...

@Beddie11 sorry you are down. I feel very down at the moment too :(. It’s now 54 days since I took my last pill and still feeling nothing. I haven’t ovulated this whole time 😞. I started taking Vitex this week, hoping it will help my body wake up!
Try not to worry, you think you had EWCM didn’t you? So perhaps your BFP is on the way rather than af!

@Beddie11 you absolutely might be ovulating so I would be dtd every few days anyway just to cover yourself.
On my second baby I came off the pill on 17th Nov and had no bleed whatsoever and then conceived around the 3rd of Jan without even realising so keep the chin up x

@Peaky297 sounds like very promising symptoms indeed! How are u feeling now, did anything develop? Its now 7 weeks since my withdrawal bleed finished and no sign whatsoever of AF. Im feeling very disheartened today, like if im not getting AF, am i even ovulating? I know i could be of course but I'm just on a bit of a debbie downer today xx

I'm back in the 2ww loopy part of my cycle! AF due on Valentine's, so a week today and if I ovulated when I think I'm 7dpo. For the last couple of days I have had aching in my right hip and general twinges/ heaviness in my lower abdomen. I can really feel it when i cough or sneeze too! Its almost like AF is on the way, only more one sided, not as bad and way too early. Otherwise I have slightly sore boobs, a bit more gassy and more frequent number 2s (sorry!) and that's about it. Anyone heard anything re: the pelvic pain before?

AF is here! 30 days after I finished withdrawal bleed so not too long really. Time to start dowloading some apps!

@kinsella82 its very frustrating, i keep thinking well maybe i could be pregnant and thats why no AF yet, but every test is a BFN sooo i dont know what to think! Oooo wishing you a very successful fertile window lol 😁 xx

I felt a bit sick today so bought a test and it's negative 😒 wasn't obv a morning pee but it would be faint like surely if I were as I'm now 5 days overdue.

Ugh long cycles are so annoying no idea when or if I have ovulated now. I'm a bit sad now. Hope it's not a 40 something day cycle this time 😢
