Anyone else fresh off the pill!?

Hi ladies!
As my DH and i habe decided to TTC I took the last pill in my packet on 17th December and had my breakthrough bleed start on the 22nd and end on the 26th. Now the wait begins to see whether my cycle snaps back to normal and of course whether I concieve! I had been on microgynon for circa 3 years.

Is anyone else in a similar position and entering 2019 pill free!? I thought this would be a good place to track and share our experiences as they happen!

Oh and I've come down with a cold too, which may be a coincidence but I've also read pregnancy can stunt the immune system and make you more open to these things!

Thanks @hoping87! They did pretty much go back to normal... counted my withdrawal bleed as CD1 then had 27 cycle, then a 31 day cycle and this months never came! Symptoms wise... like normal PMS for me with sore boobs etc. The out of the ordinnary things were my moods (honestly I feel like a psycho some days) and also really not liking wine, as I had a glass on the weekend (before BFP) and I really didn't enjoy it, which is 100% not like me! Haha.

Massive congratulations @peaky297 !! Did you’re periods go back to normal after stopping your pill? Did you have any symptoms before getting your BFP? Congrats again! Xx

Just wanted to share the good news with you all... I can't believe it... I have a BFP! I started this thread back in December and was prepared to be waiting a long time for one of these! I feel so lucky, especially seeing as DH was unwell for most of my fertile window so we didn't DTD all that much! All the best ladies... you never know when it will happen!

Anyone else fresh off the pill!?

@sar1988 welcome! I havent noticed any major changes in my moods, only difference really is because im not getting AF im not getting the mood swings that usually come with that. I guess they will return though when AF does! My sex drive has also improved since stopping the pill as a few people have already mentioned x

Yes ladies, I agree with all of this. I'm not the moody cow I once was and the little things bother me too much.
My acne did come back but not as bad.
I just use super drugs teatree and peppermint range and I am really strict with with myself. Every morning and evening. I also use a face scrub one a day and have no issues

Thanks I'm exactly the same @whatsthecraic91 my mood is so much better. Little things don't get to me like they used to and sex drive has also sky rocketed tmi!!!

@whatsthecraic91 lol, I'm looking forward to seeing the changes it makes. I had bad acne before so I'm hoping it doesn't flare up again. Think I might wait till after the wedding. Thank you x

@sar1988 welcome!! Yes I have noticed I am far far happier and didn’t realise what a grumpy bitch I was until I stopped my pill! Even my DP has commented! Also made my sex drive increase dramatically which is also a plus 😍

Thanks guys i shall certainly let you all know how it goes. He said something about doing bloods to try and catch me ovulating? Which sounds unlikely lol surely ? X

Just to update you all, i saw my doctor about my lack of AF. He was really lovely luckily he didnt dismiss me and send me away for another 3months. I need to go back for blood tests he said to see if i have any underlying issue. So we shall see, im just relieved I actually got somewhere x

@ttc2019babyno1 how strange, youd have thought with it being really painful that you might have had some pain or something leading upto it - i hope it eases off for you soon and doesnt last too long! I dont know to be honest ive had a couple of shows of ewcm over the past couple of months but no other signs of anything! I'll keep you informed though im going to the doctors soon xx

Af has now arrived with a vengeance!! Soooo much pain 😫! It’s punishing me for being on the pill for 13 years!
No symptoms leading up to it, it just appeared this morning. I did have pains and a positive opk a week or so ago but I must not have ovulated or I have a very short LP.

So I guess i’m now on day one of cycle 2... how long will this one last...
I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you, hopefully you’ll get some good news soon! Have you had any more signs of ovulation?

Hi All,
Congratulations on the bfp’s!!
Just thought I’d give you a quick update, AF has arrived today!! A full 88 days after coming off the pill (85 after start of withdrawal bleed). I’m sad that i didn’t manage to get pregnant but happy that something is actually happening! There is hope for all!! 😃
