Can someone please help me out?
Is this a positive pregnancy test or an evaporation line? Test taken an hour ago (didn’t check it straight away)

Hey @glutten4punishment
Ah that's great news for you!

I can't remember if you mentioned before - are u TTC again now?

So loooooong story short, i got my 21day bloods repeated on the correct day this time and they came back that I was ovulating) all other tests came back normal, I was still not further on NHS fertility waiting list, and had a long talk with DF the other day and we have decided to go private. So yesterday we booked our consultation appt in a private clinic in Dublin for 18th Sept!
Money really does talk! It's expensive but I'm 37 and I do no have time for the NHS carry on

@Broodyaf - how're you doing? From your last post, it sounds similar to what my issue was. I was ovulating just not strong enough to hold the egg for long enough. Progesterone has a lot to answer for! One month on clomid and I fell pregnant and now have a healthy 3 year old.

Hope you're getting sorted and it's all looking more positive.

Broodyaf · 21/05/2019 16:21

Hey @glutten4punishment !

Ah I'm so so. So to update you,
21day bloods came back with progesterone 9.8 (range 16-28) so GP said I probably wasn't ovulating. But the bloods were taken 11days before AF arrived so I'm hoping this is the reason my progesterone was so low, and hence why I'm rebooked in for 21day bloods on Friday

Had a transvaginal exam and the sonographer thought the lining looked a bit thin for where I was in my cycle - again this was the same cycle as the 21day bloods.

I've been referred to fertility clinic (NHS) waiting list is approx 6months so I'm likely not to get called until October'ish

OH has SA booked in for 29th July

So I'm totally in limbo-land and feeling like my biological clock is ticking away and I just have to sit and wait 🤷‍♀️

How about u? What's ur update?x

Broodyaf · 08/02/2019 20:57

Hey @glutten4punishment
I wasn't able to make it 🙈
And the next appt they have is 25th Feb!!
So I'm just gonna have to wait until then. Maybe I'll get my BFP this cycle and not have to go 🙏 x

I think it's the right thing to do. Often they can find a lot out by a simple blood test so hopefully you'll have some answers soon.

Best of luck! Do keep us updated if you can!

Broodyaf · 30/01/2019 22:32

Hey @ glutten4punishment

Barney89 · 04/01/2019 14:15

Hi could anybody help pls ☹️
Hi all thank you so much for reading and please help of you can?

I did one of these tests a week ago and I could see the thinnest faintest line on the edge if the test line come up positive but not the full thing. So kind of ignored it, I have tested a second time and then two edges of the test line came up. Not the fill test line but if you can imagine the edges where there outlined. The control panel was ok so I again ignored and I retested this morning. Only the control panel is so faint you can hardly see it? And the test line is the line that showed? I don't quite know what is going on I bought all three tests separately as I have on separate days? Would this be positive?? I'm under the impression you HAVE to have HCG to turn the test like pink anyway? It's odd because these both today went pure white until the pink came up which makes me thing the test was working? Please help ❤️❤️ the pic I took was quite fast but the test line showers straight away x

Broodyaf · 02/01/2019 21:39

Yeah by the sounds of this I think I need to go to my doctor then. I’ve been holding off not wanting to go but I could be wrecking my head for another x amount of months and it never gonna happen!

We were trying for a little while, not too long, but as I was fortunate to fall pregnant almost immediately with my first (and I had faultless 28 day cycles then) I knew something wasn't right when TTC no.2. My cycles changed to only about 24/25 days after I had DC1 after being so regular for all my life.

I decided to track them. I was ovulating but a bit later than normal (around day 17/18) and then AF would arrive a week later. So 1) my ovulation wasn't strong and 2) my luteal phase wasn't long enough - should be 12-14 days at least.

We opted to pay to see a gynaecologist privately who checked my progesterone levels and declared there was not a chance of me getting pregnant as prog levels were crap. (Hormone levels were clearly put off balance after DC1!)

To 'fix' this, I was offered progesterone suppositories or Clomid. The first the easier option with few side effects but can take time. The second has a fair few side effects, high risk of multiples but has a higher success rate.

I opted for Clomid and fell pregnant the first month. It wasn't pleasant side effects wise but obviously worth it.

@glutten4punishment thank you so much for your comment.
Can you go into a wee bit a detail please about what they done to rectify it? We’re u TTC for a while before u went to GP? X

@Broodyaf - just came across this thread. Sorry you've not had the results you've wanted.

I felt I should say something when I read how short your cycles are. This was me when TTC no.2. Found out I was ovulating but not strong enough to hold a pregnancy as my luteal phase was too short. Just wondering if this might be the same for you. It's very easily corrected so felt I should mention it just in case.

Broodyaf · 02/01/2019 15:04

@lucy2204 I don’t know EXACTLY when I’m ovulating as the OPKs never give me a proper clear positive and I wreck my head taking them and thinking “am I even ovulating at all?”
Because my cycles are so short (20-24days) I’m assuming I ovulate pretty quickly after AF finishes.

@sshsecretenclosed how long have youse been trying and what age are u? I don’t feel ready for medical intervention either but I’m 36 so maybe my bioliogical clock is telling me otherwise!
They say under 35 be trying for 1 year before going to GP, over 35 it’s after 6 months. This will be our 22nd cycle 😫

Does anyone else ever get sooo down and think “maybe I’m just not meant to be a mum” even thou I’m sure we’ve all read endless stories about couples trying for far longer than us go on to have multiple babies! Aaaaahhh it’s just so stressful and hard and is taking over my life!

Sshsecretenclosed · 02/01/2019 10:33

@Broodyaf what you said really resonated with me. I can't relax about anything so I really can't relax about TTC'ing!! I just want it to happen. I struggle to get my dh to take vitamins Confused I like the idea of taking vits magnesium, zinc and b6. Tried conceive plus last month for first time. No BFP and we have been trying a long while. At the moment I don't feel ready for medical intervention and getting super stressed but don't know if I'm hiding from my fears.

lucy2204 · 02/01/2019 00:05

Straight not start

lucy2204 · 02/01/2019 00:05

Good luck will have my fingers crossed for you!
We took these and done the "deed"every 3 days up untill cycle week (always make sure you have sex 3 days start leading up to the cycle as the eggs travels down it will make sure it has the sperm waiting for it gives it more chance they live for 72hrs🙈sorry for the TMI🙈) they can be quicker and then have sex every 2 days!,it's hard work and gets a little boring but it works 😍 pray you get your little blessing! You prob know all that tho 🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈x

Broodyaf · 01/01/2019 23:54

Thanks Lucy. I seen them online earlier and wasn’t sure. But after reading your comment I’ve decided why not. So I ordered them. Thanks for the advice.
This month I’m not stressing with OPKs or anything. Just dtd every other day with preseed and take those tablets and give it another 2 cycles and after that I may go to the GP or just give up! That’ll be 23 cycles x
