TTC FIRST BABY - THREAD 10!

Resisted until this morning. POAS, BFN. And to really rub that in, I had what looks like start of AF a day early when I wiped. So a Christmas BFP is well and truly off the cards!

Although I’ve not been tracking ovulation, we’ve DTD pretty consistently every 1-2 days during a 2 week window each month for 3 months and it’s disheartening. My mum just had to breathe near my dad and she was pregnant. But I’ve had to take so much medication over the years for what is now known to be a rare neurological disorder and I’m anxious as to whether that could have damaged my fertility. But by the same token, I know a lot of other women have to keep trying each month so trying to to worry yet. OPKs are in the post, ready to start tracking ovulation from January onwards.

Doesn’t help that a couple of friends have had (exceptionally) cute babies in the last few months and they keep popping up in my Facebook feed so I can’t escape!!!!!!

Right, enough of my boring typing. BFN means I can go to town on Xmas with alcohol. Look for the positives, right? If DP wasn’t snoring like a runaway train I’d go back to bed!!!!

Morning ladies. Temp has done a huge dip below the cover line as expected, so just waiting for AF to actually show up now. On to next cycle. At least temping helps see what's happening and take some of the mystery of the cycle away!

@charm23 I’m currently pregnant and spoke to my midwife yesterday about rhesus negative (my mum is, I’m yet to find out my blood group). It’s one additional blood test so they can work out baby’s blood type. If rhesus negative then they don’t do anything, if rhesus positive then they give you the anti d injection once at 28 weeks I think she said and that’s it x

Ok so I told you all a few days ago about clearblue digital deciding I was ovulating a week before I usually do (cd11).
So even though I'd already had my peak symbol, I went ahead and carried on doing the ovulation tests (cheap ones while the symbol was still showing for 48 hours) every other day still. They were all negative, and now today it's suddenly showing peak fertility again (cd17)!

Today is when I'd expect a positive as per my normal cycles, but I had high then peak results already so now I'm really confused :-/ please impart your wisdom wise ones!!

@Charm23 so you like all the Christmas stuff like gifts, food, and family but you don't like Christmas? Mhmmm 😂 and as for moving on quick, you're ready when you're ready and if it's immediately, it's only to the best. Personally, I don't see a reason to mourn for months instead of trying again.

I'm Rhesus Positive, don't know the group though.

@cupcakesandglitter it's ok to be emotional, even with silly things. I did notice that ttc isn't helping and is easier to trigger now that it's been over six months. So don't be hard on yourself.

Does anyone's lower abdomen itch a day or two before ovulation? It happens to me every time, it is so weird. Usually only on one side, goes away if I scratch it, no rash or anything, and I could tell it's internal. DH laughs at me.

@cupcakesandglitter I’m so sorry you’re having a bad day with it all. I get you - I’m having an overall sad day with it too. I just feel so fed up with how hard it is.

@cupcakesandglitter ah hun! Sending you hugs hugs. Our hormones are a right pain in the arse and ttc is such a rollercoaster. But hey, you're allowed to be dramatic and feel this stuff! Look after yourself, and if you need help emotionally, ask.

It's now officially Saturday according to my clock so I'm due AF today, will update at a more sociable hour! Got a banging headache at the moment.

10:40pm and I’m led in bed, needing to pee ... and having a strong urge to POAS. I know I’ll be disappointed if/when it’s a BFN so why bother before sleep!?! Stupid brain!!

DH has popped into the shop so I'm sat in the car. It's raining and I've got cramps round my right ovary and I know AF is coming... so I decide to have a meltdown in the car. I'm not even sad AF is coming I'm just sad in general. These hormones can piss off now, I feel so dramatic looking out the window crying

@ValidUser aww hun! I'm glad things are finally getting in order for you. I'm also loving the option to adopt or foster! DH and I have already spoken about that and if we have major problems having our own, then we'll take that route too xx

God I'm so emotional tonight! I keep looking on our local rescue centre at dogs and welled up because all those dogs there won't have anyone at Christmas. I nearly cried at the greatest showman after the fire (when PT carries Philip out)... what is wrong with me?!? Haha!! 😂😂😂

@EltzBee hopefully not! It's frustrating and demoralising, but even if I need ivf, I should have a baby come 2021 (on the later end). And I'll only be 31 then.

If not, I'll foster or adopt and we'll give a child who needs a home a loving one.

Problem is hydrosalpinx and issues with other tube.
On Clomid (but hormonally not too bad and I'm ovulating!).
Surgery in about 2 cycles' time!

@cupcakesandglitter that’s what I’m thinking, DTD everyday except Tuesday and Wednesday so hope to god we haven’t missed our window 😭

@MrsMcNtobe sounds like maybe you've ovulated? The pain you had could've been the egg releasing? X

Giiiiirls I dunno if I need help or just a good shake but I just need to vent! I took a month off OPKs still tracking CM on Flo and Ovia (I know I should have just took a month off from everything but hey ho!). Anyway.. EWCM for 6 days now dried up today but excruciating pain in my left side.. was expecting to ovulate on 17th/18th but Ovia has now moved it’s predictions so I have no idea if my pain is ovulation or maybe constipation or something else 😭😭

I was using the Clearblue digital OPK’s (without the Monitor because I forgot to set that up). DH and I BD on Sunday and Tuesday. According to my FF app I would probably ovulate on Thursday, but it’s possible anytime from Wednesday to Saturday. Kept getting flashing “high” messages but no “peak”. I knew we should have BD more but thought as I hadn’t had my peak yet and work has been crazy we were ok. But my temperature rose this morning, so I think I’ve ovulated and it’s too late to get another chance in. I feel like I’ve blown this cycle 😔
