TTC FIRST BABY - THREAD 10!

@cupcakesandglitter hope you get a clear BFP.

Currently on CD17 and 11DPO, AF could arrive either the 28th or the 5th. Not sure how this cycle end ha.

@stormtrooperjulian yeah I'm gonna test every day up to Sunday if AF doesn't turn up. Not sure what I'll do after that x

@thosethreewords yep! So I think Lloyd's tests from 10 but FRER are 12.5. I have two possibilities I think; first is that maybe I had a false positive on the Lloyd's, or the second is that maybe I'm very very early and Lloyd's can pick them up but FRERs aren't quite that sensitive yet x

@cupcakesandglitter - pardon me for being a bit dense, but how come that happens? Is one type of test more sensitive than the other? Because I could definitely see a line yesterday!

Scan is New Year's Eve. Really struggling with feeling low and abit depressed though. This sickness nausea and food adversions ( smells ) are killing me. I can't do anything normal! x

@stormtrooperjulian I don’t really know! I’m not temping or testing or anything. Just baby dancing! Last month I had some bleeding for the first time on CD 17 or 18 which may have been ovulation bleeding. Prior to that I would have estimated CD 12 or 13. But I’m a novice with all this! Or possibly niaive....!

What cycle are you on? What are you doing?

@Scottslass55 we’re at about the same point in our cycles... I’m on CD8. When do you usually ovulate?

Thanks @MrsEG @EltzBee @Crossfitgirl I had my BFP yesterday on a Lloyd's test which I think is more sensitive than a FRER, but I'm just gonna wait a few days :) xx

Had the family over yesterday but we kept our bfp a secret and just to ourselves. Feeling SO bloated, constipated and gassy still. Keep telling the little bean to be sticky and hold on tight.

@mrsEG congratulations and @cupcakesandglitter oh my goodness I just read this on the edge of my seat. Try a frer again tomorrow and let us know. Crossing all my fingers and toes! Xxx

@MrsEG thanks for including me in the new thread. Happy Christmas everyone! Sorry I’ve not been around, been busy with Christmas stuff, but it looks like there’s been some good news! Haven’t read all 15 pages yet, but congrats!

Nothing to report here...AF came and went. Only DTD once since then as been busy with family visitors and lots of cooking.

Feeling super broody though, which is unusual for me, but we’ve talked to a couple of friends about TTC in recent days, and a friend’s little girl was being very cute and cuddly with me at church on Christmas Day. 😍 she sat on my hip all through “Oh Come All Ye Faithful”...maybe by next Christmas I’ll have one of my own to cuddle!

Cycle 4
CD 10 - I think- (can barely work out what day we’re on....)

FRER is a BFN.. I've bought four so hopefully by the weekend I'll have a faint line. Feeling nauseous today and really tired, no AF yet but could come over the next couple of days. I'm still holding onto some hope x

@thosethreewords my DH asks if I can test, I just tell him it's too early, this way he isn't worried.

@thosethreewords we are going on holiday/visiting family. So it will be a distraction for sure. Shame I couldn't have avoided poas today! Thank you!!

My DH doesn't know much but I've purposely not told him. He did ask yday when I will be testing and I said 2 weeks just to throw him off.
You're right though so hard to know when to test especially if there's a big occasion coming up etc.
Oh my word has anyone seen Mrs Hinch's Instagram of her telling her family that she's pg?! Talk about teary!!!!!!

@DuchessofPemberley that sounds like a good plan. If you use a FRER it could be positive at that point? I am going to try really hard to wait until AF is due but I don't know how well that will work. My DH birthday is just before that so I would love to give him a BFP for his bday, but don't want to be sad/ disappointed if it's BFN, specially because it would be probably too early

@cupcakesandglitter thanks lovely. It's typical of my mum to say something like that. She'll then act like she knew all along if I was pregnant. I get along with her so well but sometimes her tactless comments annoy me so much.

So I've got a confession. I'm 9dpo or according to another app I'm 8dpo and well erm I did a FRER this morning. I know it was so dumb and ofcs it was a bfn. I'm flying out to South Africa today and I didn't want to sit on the plane thinking about it non stop so I chucked it in the F bucket 🙈
Anyone else testing over the next few days?
I know this isn't our month as we DTD up to the day I got a peak and then work ramped up and we didn't DTD again (so DTD on O day). If my cycles weren't so long I'd be a bit more hopeful but it feels like I wait forever for O and then forever for AF.

@thosethreewords - My app is saying I'm due on the 2nd, so will probably test around the 3rd-4th as will be 12dpo by then, to stand a chance of an accurate positive :)
@DuchessofPemberley - same, my birthday's a few days before I'm due, but would not be many dpo so no use testing.

@DuchessofPemberley You could be pleasantly surprised on your birthday but if it's a BFN because it's early, would you then be upset for the day? Maybe hold off for a few days and test when you were going to? Xx

Thanks @EltzBee ❤️ it was a stark BFN for me! I've used the other Lloyd's test just now, watched the line appear as the pee moved across 😂 still very faint but definitely darker than yesterday's... gonna go buy some FRERs now 😊

@thosethreewords it's shitty isn't it, I never would've got through it if it was for this thread. You've got all of our support here and feel free to rant away whenever, even if you feel like you shouldn't be bothered - we've all been there!!! X

@thosethreewords I’ll be testing the 4th/5th/6th. I’m due the 4th and will be 15 dpo.

The only issue is it’s my birthday a few days before. Torn between wanting to hold out until AF and thinking it would be so nice if I got a bfp on my bday, but then would I be ok if it was negative?

I’ll see how my temperature is maybe. If it’s still high I may test.

So many BFPs! Let's hope the Christmas luck keeps giving!

I picked up the wrong FR ones too but the FRRR still came back BFP day after the Boots one did :)

Anymore Xmas BFPs, is that 3 we are up to now?
