This might be a really stupid questions (apologies) but I read that even if you have sex bang at the right time with respect to ovulation your chance of conception is still only 30%. If you have sex multiple times leading up to and around ovulation does this chance increase??

@KittieKath @MrsEG just been catching up on the messages here and seen that you both sent me lovely messages of support from my sad last message on thread 9. Sorry I didn’t respond I didn’t know anyone would have read it. Thank you both so much. I’m feeling a bit more relaxed now- the day of the BFN is always grim for me- need to make sure I am at home next time I do it for the first time in the cycle.. xx

Hi ladies- I used to be on the old threads but rejoining here.

I am 30, end of cycle 4, warning for af to arrive.

My app predicted my period to arrive on Christmas Day so I did an early test on the 21st- was a BFN. No period Christmas Day or Boxing Day so used a normal FRRR yesterday- another BFN. Got an early detection to use tomorrow morning if af doesn’t arrive as seems the app must have predicted my ovulation wrong otherwise I would have had a BFP by now if I actually was Preggo. All v weird and frustrating as don’t really know where I stand with it.

@FlapJackered got the flu jab in October. And yes we dtd on Christmas day! And the day after!

@Scotslass55 so sorry for rubbish Christmas, families can be hard on you even during the best holidays. Maybe talk to your DH, after all, whatever happened doesn't mean you two stopped being a couple who wants children and it's silly to miss the important days if you're ovulating.

@Shellybellytots hot tubs are fine for you but not your dh (he shouldn't during ttc at all).

@GemmaJen I'm with you, there's no way I'd be able to do five days in a row. Even four is too much. The pressure from it being baby making is ruining the mood.

@thosethreewords thank you. I’m sure it’ll all be fine soon. Just feeling a bit sorry for myself this morning. Family all gone and DH off to work still angry. This was meant to be my lovely day to relax but not quite feeling that vibe!

@thosethreewords I know I didn't drink at all last month (not that I do really!) I should have at the crimbo parties etc. I have had a few glasses of port and wine over Christmas seeing as AF is here and it was quite nice chilled me out a bit as waiting for AF got me a bit tense. NY and my Bday I am going to have a couple of glasses hehe!

But then water and lemon for my Nirvana Spa week :) yipee

Back at work today but we've DTD 4 days in a row... Don't think I can manage day 5! Luckily our house has thick walls, lol. Just want to see that temp rise now to be sure it has happened.

@GemmaJen my cycles are all over the place. I had a 64 day cycle before this one!
I have cysts on one of my ovaries which is causing the irregular periods but the doctor said it shouldn't cause any issues with getting pregnant. It just may take a little longer.

@Scotslass55 aw love, I'm sorry to hear that. I cannot imagine the pain of losing a parent, even more so around Christmas. Lots of love to you. Hope you and DH can make up soon
@Shellybellytots If I don't get BFP this month I will be doing that for January. I have an exam at the end of January so need to try and plan some fun small things to distract me from all the extra work I'm doing! I would still do it because otherwise you could spend your whole life avoiding the things you can't enjoy when pregnant! Hence why I've been drinking over Christmas and O because I would be annoyed if I got a BFN and had been teetotal the whole time! (I don't drink alcohol except for my birthday and Christmas!)

@GemmaJen yes had a lovely Christmas. Still away visiting various family until next Wednesday... very long! But when I get home, I will only have 3 days of TWW left!

I am going to a spa on 8th Jan and O is the 11th. They say not to have massages etc when pregnant or hot tubs etc raised temp and toxins etc. I hope it's ok before Ov.?!!

@Katbecool I am in the different 2ww . I am waiting to O. I am day 4 only and I only O on day 19 :( I am just making little milestones. I have family staying 28-31. NY with friends. I will be 31 3 days after that then have a romantic trip with hubby. Then it will only be 5 days til O!!

Well my Boxing Day ended with DH and I having a huge (but highly whispered as my dad was in the next room) row as various family Christmas tensions and strains boiled over. Rubbish end to Christmas and exceedingly bad timing as can’t see us BD any time soon... 😢 Christmas is really hard for us as my Mum passed away 2 years ago on Saturday and it just all got a bit much last night. My MIL pushed some buttons, I lost my patience, DH was completely drained and just wanted to sleep as he’s back at work today....boom! 😢

@Random2468 I had a MMC also in October. Basically the same as you, we wasn't planning but wasn't preventing and now know more than anything we want to have a little one. I've had 2 cycles since my MC but still find it hard with unpredictable bleeds etc.

@cupcakesandglitter are you testing today?

My app is saying to do a test today but I ovulated so early I don't think this cycle will be a winner.

I am 8dpo today and actually amazed with how quickly the tww has gone. Christmas is a great tww distracter! 😂
Definitely don't feel pregnant and would not be too sad about af as I have not been behaving this month. Ready for a diet and lots of exercise now though!

Has anyone had the flu jab in anticipation of getting pregnant? I might get it after Christmas so I am covered.

@cupcakesandglitter I am sorry you had the bfn, but as someone said it make just be because of not using fmu. Keeping everything crossed for you.

@KatBeCool did you manage to Dtd on Christmas Day? I always get ravenous in the tww and have been eating obscene amounts of food. It is Christmas though!

So my body finally decided to ovulate, and on Christmas day. TWW once more. The usual post-ovulation hunger is kicking in. Told DH it's my time of the month when I'm hungry all the time 😂 I'm not even sure I ever noticed it before ttc. Anyone else starting TWW?
