19Bee2 · 31/12/2018 08:14

Congratulations @MrsLBear and happy New Year. Really lovely news!

Crossfitgirl · 31/12/2018 08:12

@flapjackered oh sorry I missed your post not long since. Sorry for the BFN. Mine was completely stark BFN though the day before I got my faint one. You're not out till AF shows. And if it helps at all, we didn't totally chill out the month we caught, i didn't bother with sex but I was still watching my temps and didn't think I was anywhere near ov, and I did purposefully initiate when I got the rise, because I was like oh fucking shit I've missed it! And we were both super stressed the whole month with the move.
I hope things turn around for you soon. I think this thread can be a bit hard because lots seem to catch in the first 6 months or sooner but actually so many of my friends took far longer and some over a year, i think its more normal for it to take longer.
Not that that helps but at least know you're not in the minority taking longer, more likely the majority. And remember, some people have shorter cycles so are lucky enough to have more chances in the same time period, whereas the longer cycles will have meant you've not had quite as many, so maybe think of it in cycles. I think mine was cycle 8 or 9 but it was 7 months as my cycles were stupidly short xxx

starkid · 31/12/2018 08:12

@MrsLBear - congratulations!! What a line, and what a way to end the year! Grin Glitterball

Crossfitgirl · 31/12/2018 08:01

Hey guys hope you're all OK! You're right @cupcakesandglitter we didn't think about it much what with the move, and it happened! Did I read you had some pink stuff? I had my usual period spotting, then it turned light pink and went away. Have you not had any lines since that faint one? So very strange!
How are you getting on?
Congratulations @mrslbear! What a line!
@flapjackered what's the temp doing today? If I ever took my temp early it was always lower. I would go with yesterday's high one. Have you tested this morning? Good luck lovey!

MrsEG · 31/12/2018 08:00

@MrsLBear A lot of the pg groups move way too fast for me but there is actually a ‘catch up with the TTC group’ thread over there with lots of familiar names! My due date for now is 4 Sept; apparently it will be properly confirmed at the 12-week scan though. Pop to your GP this week - mine was wonderful. Went through all the do’s and don’ts and helped me fill in my form to book in with the midwife. She was very reassuring with all my bizarre questions too! Xx

Thank you!! What pg group you on @MrsEG? As in which thread (sorry girls I wanted to find a familiar face).
When is your due date?
That's so funny I did the same to DH. I washed my face and brushed my teeth whilst trying to collect myself and whilst putting on my face creams I was thinking now do I keep it a secret and tell him in a cute way. Nope he was half asleep and I waved my pee stick in his face.

I will still keep checking on in this thread though. I love all our chats. Such a lovely group of ladies. I have everything crossed for you all and that 2019 will bring you those 2 pink lines.

MrsEG · 31/12/2018 07:28

@MrsLBear Just saw your other posts! CB digital can be taken at any time of day from the day your period is due but I hear FMU is still best (I did mine 16dpo in the end as I was so nervous!!) as they aren’t as sensitive as a FRER. Absolutely no denying your line though, you are pregnant lady!!

I had no symptoms either - sore boobs (which are still with me!) but nothing extraordinary. Nipples a bit itchy but only post-BFP. The exhaustion is kicking in now though!! Congrats again. I told DH by chucking my test at him in bed and we told our family over present opening on Xmas Day, it was wonderful! Let us know how you get on! Wink

Thank you @TrashKitten10

I just went out to get a cb digital. Don't know whether to wait until tomorrow morning. Also we are away with my whole family so I should tell my parents but wanted to do it in a nice way really. I also wanted to tell DH in a nice way but I couldn't stop shaking!!

MrsLBear · 31/12/2018 07:12

Thanks girls @GemmaJen @KatBeCool!!

I used cb digital OPKs and preseed. I swear by the cbs as I had no idea when I o'd before and I had been getting the dates so so wrong. I o'd a week after I thought I did. And I found them so clear with be flashing and static. Albeit I did have 9 days straight of flashings.
And preseed 100% helped me as I don't produce much cm.

It's so weird though I feel so sick today. App says I'm 4 weeks today and I'm due on my birthday.

TrashKitten10 · 31/12/2018 06:49

@MrsLBear what a fabulous way to end the year, congratulations!

@FlapJackered it's not over until AF rears her ugly head, crossing my fingers for you

KatBeCool · 31/12/2018 06:32

@MrsLBear congratulations! There's no guessing if there's a line. I bet even a digi would show a result. You owe us some tips 😊

GemmaJen · 31/12/2018 06:28

@MrsLBear congratulations! That's a blummin clear line, so happy for you Grin

MrsLBear · 31/12/2018 06:25

Sorry for the upside down photo 🙄

MrsLBear · 31/12/2018 06:25

Sorry to hear that @FlapJackered. Fx for you next month but as @KatBeCool said it might be too early for you as it depends when you implanted. There's still hope ❤️

MrsLBear · 31/12/2018 06:22

Morning ladies!
So woke up this morning. Temp was down to 36.52 and I redone it straight away and it was 36.75. I thought nope I'm out. Had period cramps and that feeling when you stood up when you know af will show her head. As it's New Years I thought I will just do a FRER in case I am so if I'm not I can drink away my sorrows.

And I literally nearly choked when I saw this.
I'm 14dpo today!

And I got a bfn on 9dpo not even a squinter.
I've got no symptoms. Apart from my boobs got a slightly bit sore 2 days ago which I normally get pre-AF and then yday my nipples got really sensitive. But I've had sore boobs before af to a point where I couldn't touch them so just thought it was another way my body was playing tricks on me.

TTC FIRST BABY - THREAD 10!
KatBeCool · 31/12/2018 06:05

@FlapJackered don't count yourself out yet, bfp can be as late as 16-18dpo. Aren't your temps still up? Speaking of stupid bodies can't say mine is very smart either.

FlapJackered · 31/12/2018 05:43

I'm out 😭
13dpo and just tested with a frer and not even a squinter of a line. So my chilled out month didn't work. What is wrong with my stupid body, and why won't it make a baby!

thosethreewords · 30/12/2018 23:38

Hi @Syncope!! 👋👋 great to have new members on board the crazy bus 😜 not even joking
I'm off to bed now - another day closer to POAS 😬😬
I must admit, I think with Christmas and charting, I probably have gone a bit mad. If this isn't my month, I'm going to try and just enjoy the process a bit more. It's hard though because I know DH has been broody for way longer than me and so he doesn't "help" by talking about it constantly!
We're at ILs at the moment and he keeps saying things in a really loud hushed voice like "are you pregnant yet?" "Do you feel different?" Etc etc
Bless him!

Scotslass55 · 30/12/2018 22:49

Hello to all the new ladies! I’m a few weeks new myself and everyone has been very welcoming and helpful, and it’s vern nice to see some folks who I’d been following since I started lurking here get their BFPs in the last few weeks. It’s a very positive place.

My DH and I started TTC in September so cycle 4 now. We’re old (38 and 39) so quite realistic about our prospects....he’d definitely not be on board with me buying baby clothes already! 😂 though I also noticed the Mothercare closing down sale!!

I’m not doing anything special yet, no special pills, no temping, no OPK, a whole world I’ve learned of since I came on here. Rather naively I suspect we’re just trying to DTD at roughly the right time each month.

Given my age, I suspect once we’ve been trying for 6 months (so scarcely only 2 more cycles) we’ll go off to to GP for some advice and may try done of the other tactics after that.

It’s all become a bit more real for us the last month or so, we’re tslking about it more and a couple of close friends know that we’re trying. Between them our friends have dozens of kids from about 13 downwards so we’re surrounded by a very family orientated network. Hopefully we’ll be joining them before too long...in the meantime it’s lovely to have this group for advice and encouragement. I don’t contribute much coz I don’t know any answers but I’m grateful for you all!!

19Bee2 · 30/12/2018 22:47

Oh, and hi @syncope
I am new here too (but have been silently following for a while) and just starting cycle 1. Sorry to hear about the long cycle last month. Fingers crossed for some good news in in the New Year.
