Waiting to TTC next month!

Hi ladies, can I tentatively join you?

We have an almost 1 year old DD and have spent the past month going back and forth between TTC for #2 soon or waiting so that she'd qualify for free childcare before #2 would need the nursery hours. We went away for the night over Xmas (our first night away together since DD was born) and decided, a bit drunkenly, that we 60% wanted to start trying now and so ditched the condoms. I think it was too late for my ovulation this month so will be trying in January.

I'm kind of unsure about TTC, sounds a bit odd cos I'm posting here and saying we will be/are. I think I'd regret not trying rather than trying iyswim. Having DD has made me very aware of how short life is.

@MummyBearBoo if i get pregnant this cycle baby will be due end of sept and depending in GD will probably have to come beginning of September on DD birthday 😩

@HJWT I'm same have a DD who is 3 at end of Jan would really like baby #2 before she is 4!

@gizmosslave hopefully 🤞 I’m on my last cycle before coming off the pill and I can’t wait!

@koalaby I’m sure your friend would be happy for you, if she is desperate to have a baby she will no and understand the feelings your having whilst trying :)

My best friend will be going through IVF next year and I'm nervous about the possibility that a failed IVF cycle for her could coincide with a BFP for me. But I know she would be happy for me whatever.

@user1474968530 I told my DH not to tell my mum that I'm removing my implant in the next few days because I didn't want the pressure of people asking ' are you pregnant yet ' then DH tells my mum in front of everyone at a family party yesterday he said he was trying to make conversation & totally forgot I'd asked him 😂 bloody idiot, we are all here if you need a chat, I remember the first time planning to remove my implant and being scared! Just make sure you take vitamins at least a month before trying xx

On holidays last July DP wanted me to stop taking the pill straight away. I got such a fright I said wait until next year. I booked a holiday for April and timed it that I will be off pill and finished AF by the time we went away.

When I got used to the idea (in October) I wanted to come off the pill straight away (this was before I went to the doc to get new prescription) In turn DP got a fright. After I spent €100 on doc and pill he said not too go back on, too late. lol

I am going skiing with my sis in Jan, I am staying on the pill until then as I need to delay AF by a few days or else I will have it when I am away.

I know we aren't quite TTC from Jan, but I am getting ready for it then. Lol I am so excited / scared all at the same time. That is why I came on here, I need support.

BF1 love kids, doesn't want her own. BF2 preparing for IVF so I feel bad talking to her. One close friend wants kids, in about 5 or 10 years. Another close friend got pregnant after one night stand so not great to be talking to about all the planning etc. Can't talk to my mam as I will have my family ringing asking when I am due before I even conceive (she can't keep a secret to save her life) lol

I've been with OH 4 years.

I'm not planning to track anything closely. I have a regular cycle and often feel ovulation anyway so no need to pee on sticks!

Was going to track so I’d be prepared for summer and have started using an app called Flo to do that so will probably keep using that. Thats all I will do for now, and just try dtd as much as I can when that says I am ovulating 😁

Been with my OH 3 years and hoping to get married in 2021 so ideally want to have baby #1 before we get married .. if it doesn’t happen will stop trying start of 2020 because I don’t want to be pregnant for my wedding!!

@thosethreewords just over 3 years and we have a 2 year old 😂 we have known each other for 10 years next year x

I know cycle wise it won't happen, but it would be amazing if we got pregnant today since me and DH have been together for ten years today! How long have all you guys been with OH?

Woo OH has agreed we can stop using contraception in Jan 👏 he doesn’t want to actively try until summer but said if it happenes before then it happens so fingers crossed it does 😁
