AF arrived now, back to trying next week.

Started spotting about an hour ago . AF will be here in full force tomorrow. Off to the February bus I go (if there even is one yet!). Good luck to anyone still in this month.

Pineapple core for conception and brazil nuts for implantation apparently. So you should slice the core and eat one piece a day 4 days prior to ovulation. It says that with brazil nuts you should eat 2-5 from ovulation to 10dpo. No harm trying!

@thosethreewords ouch that sounds like a pretty rubbish week. I always think negative things come in threes, so your due lots of good luck now 🤞

Af got me today a whole 2 days early which never bloody happens! I'm putting it down to all the vitamins I've been taking. Nevermind that's another month to shift some more weight. I'm stocking up tomorrow on the grapefruit juice, pineapple and brazil nuts.

Thanks guys. Felt a bit crap earlier but picked myself up a bit. Went and had my nails done and pampered myself a bit. Also coincided with a particularly difficult day at work and my mum called to say someone I know from "home" has died suddenly. Happy January!! 😂😂
I'm trying to see the positives in this. 1) the TWW is over 2) more trying 3) I definitely won't have morning sickness for my professional exam in 4 weeks 4) we are actually trying 5 months earlier than my original planned start time so I'm still in the "bonus" months 🤪 anything that gets me through!!

@thosethreewords Sorry to hear you're spotting and hoping it's not the dreaded AF. Like others have said I don't think short cycles are a problem as long as your luteal phase is at least 9/10 days. As a positive, it means you get more tries each year and don't have too long to wait each cycle :)

Ahhh glad your finally getting a line @HJWT! But id test in the morning and tomorrow afternoon if I was you!

Cycle number 1 million (or it feels like it. Took 3 years to conceive first. Has been 6 years no contraception but not really 'trying'. 2019 is back to OPK's and temping for a last ditch attempt!

Well I'm 6 dpo but had achy womb today and feel shattered.

What is the issue though? Is it because the egg doesn't get a chance to implant before the wall is breaking down?

Might it also be because of the hormone balances? I’ve no idea.

After I took my implant out I had 6 months of clockwork 25 day cycles. Since I started taking pre-conception vitamins my cycle is now 27-28 days, and I find it really odd that a multivitamin has this effect, I think it’s lengthened my luteal period.

thosethreewords what vitamins are you taking? Might it be implantation bleeding if your cycle’s normally longer?

I did wonder about why short cycles could be an issue. Mine was 26 days last month and typically 26-28 days. I managed to have 2 children so far so it can't be too bad!

@thosethreewords I think as long as your lp is at least 10 days then it’s supposed to be fine.

Pretty sure AF is about to show. Had a little bit of spotting this morning.

Sorry should have said that DH and I have been just seeing what happens the last couple of months but are counting January as our first official month of TTC.

@HJWT sounds like you might get your surge tonight, try opk late evening. I got my first positive cd18 last Wednesday night. Then a strong positive at cd19 which was really late compared to the previous month.

AF due - yesterday, currently 1 day late according to Flo app.

Totally psychosomatic i'm sure, but today I feel nauseous, sore boobs, twingy abdomen, and like i'm getting a cold. No doubt AF on the horizon as if I had conceived I would only be three weeks so very unlikely to have symptoms i'm guessing.

Sorry you didn’t get your BFP either @thosethreewords! Im glad were on the same cycle though and going through it together! Who knew POAS would be so emotional but I’m just now eager to get AF out of the way and try again next month! Although I’m only 10DPO I just know AF is coming!

@HJWT this is what my OPK’s looked like:
14DPO - nothing
15DPO - very faint line
16DPO - positive
17DPO - positive
18DPO - very faint line

So for me it happened really quickly! Just keep doing that your doing! I was also testing twice a day!
