@tinatsarina I've started checking my cervix, just for interest really because I think BBT, discharge and OPK are going to be better indicators as they are more objective.
Having felt the last few days, I've definitely noticed a difference coming into my (estimated) FW from just after AF.

tinatsarina · 18/12/2018 22:33

Can I hop on? CD 14 with ttc#2 af due 1st Jan we have DTD the past four days including early this morning as tracker says I'm ovulating today.

Has anyone tried cervix checking? I read about about it but it's mixed on whether it tells you anything about your cycle.

Frillyfarmer · 18/12/2018 22:28

I read whilst TTC #1 that having sex too often decreases the quality of the sperm so I was going to us OPK and have sex every other day and then on ovulation day if I can manage to chart it this month 🙃

HJWT · 18/12/2018 19:22

@Farhana170 you mean DTD every other day? That was with my first! Lol this will be my second, we got pregnant first cycle with DD

Farhana170 · 18/12/2018 19:16

@HJWT I'm also planning to DTD every other day... are you telling me you did this And might not be preggos??? Ahhh man... thought that would work...? No...?

HJWT · 18/12/2018 18:34

We also only DTD every other day! Better sperm quality apparently Envy ! My implant is out !!! So now waiting for AF Grin it feels SOOOO weird knowing I can get pregnant and now I'm like screaming in my head 24/7 Haha!!

MrsLBear · 17/12/2018 20:46

Wow @WatchingTheWheels85 that's amazing. Twice a day. We managed to DTD every other day and I was impressed by that. You've put me to shame!! Best of luck to you!

Dimblebimble · 17/12/2018 20:30

@thosethreewords I mean me and dh do haha, think we need to aim for at least every day during fertile week. I think I read something about it reducing sperm quality if you dtd everyday but I think that's only if there's poor quality sperm in the first place

thosethreewords · 17/12/2018 20:28

@Hunkyd0ry I see his logic. "Oh we've run out of sprouts... me and Hunkyd0ry will go to Tesco, don't worry?" If it was my DH, he would do a really obvious wink too, so it would be totally obvious 🤦🏼‍♀️

Hunkyd0ry · 17/12/2018 20:21

@thosethreewords that's what my husband said! He said PIL could babysit and we could take the car..... Hmm

thosethreewords · 17/12/2018 20:16

@Hunkyd0ry you will have to get inventive and not use the bed 😂
@Dimblebimble I don't think I can go anymore!! Quickie before work? My DH would love that!

Hunkyd0ry · 17/12/2018 19:57

*have

Hunkyd0ry · 17/12/2018 19:57

Hello!

Can I join please?

The AF I've been waiting for has arrived, so once it goes I'll be TTC#2 cycle 1.

Hoping for a lovely start to 2019, although like others we are staying with the in-laws. They gave the noisest beds ever!!

Dimblebimble · 17/12/2018 19:50

@WatchingTheWheels85 @thosethreewords we need to up our game haha

Cycle 2 since then, currently CD17

We conceived in cycle 2 of trying last time. Just taking things slowly and trusting our bodies. I have been using Flo and also OPKs since CD12 line was slightly darker today. Ovulation expected CD19-21 so I'm in my fertile week now. Going to try and hold off testing until the New Year if at all possible!
Sending baby dust to all

thosethreewords · 17/12/2018 19:37

We usually BD every day anyway and sometimes twice a day (not that often, usually weekends) so probably stick to that I think?

thosethreewords · 17/12/2018 19:35

Thanks everyone - I'll keep going with the OPK and see when they become positive 👌

WatchingTheWheels85 · 17/12/2018 19:30

This is only cycle 2, come back to me on this question at Easter Grin doubt very much I will be feeling so enthusiastic!

Dimblebimble · 17/12/2018 19:27

twice a day during the fertile week? Fair play to you. Not sure I've got the energy for that atm 😂

WatchingTheWheels85 · 17/12/2018 19:22

I'm aiming for every day from cd5 then twice a day from a flashy smile on the cb opk until 2 days after my peak.

Dimblebimble · 17/12/2018 18:48

Can I join please?

Ttc #1 after mc, first month back ttc. Trying to get back into the swing of things. Just finished fertile week, dtd 4 times during fertile week. Not sure whether that's enough or not. How many times do you aim for/ consider a good month?

Just looked back at my glow app and although we tried to ttc for 7 months before conceiving last time we only managed to dtd 4 or more times in the fertile week 4 of those months (One of us seemed to be ill or out of the country at exactly the wrong times 🙈)

HJWT · 17/12/2018 17:47

@thosethreewords that is negative, I'd take them everyday and keep them to see if it's getting darker x

Frillyfarmer · 17/12/2018 15:51

@thosethreewords you always have an amount of LH in your system, so depending on which OPK you are using, I would say that line isn’t a positive and you need to keep testing?

emcrave · 17/12/2018 15:10

@thosethreewords just realised you asked if it will get darker, Im a newbie to the OPK too so I’m not sure on that one! I just assumed it’ll be an instant thing!

emcrave · 17/12/2018 15:07

Welcome @Msluce! It seems your one day ahead of me, Im CD11, Im also considering testing NYE just because it’ll be such a lovely start to the year!

@thosethreewords I also did an OPK today and it very much looked the same as yours, I’ve put it down as a negative, I believe the line has to be equal or darker?
