Hey @TinselBee, @Rose68, @BettySwoll0cks

Here is the thread I promised us.

Somewhere for us to help eachother, pick one another up, cry, scream, laugh..

Some of us may be looking to try again, some may be putting things on hold. Whatever our plans, lets get through this together.

(I don't know whether conception was the right choice of topic, I can always have this moved to a more suitable topic if anyone would like me to)

I will look through our threads again and see if I can @mention anyone else who might like to join us

Morning Ladies

I think I am slightly calmer today, no manic rushing around this morning and we are off to see a pantomime this afternoon. My boys are at private school, hence the early finish, but I quite like the holidays, I think it gives me a sense of purpose again. I think I need to find myself a job, my acupuncturist was trying to talk me into working for myself, which I could definitely do, but it’s just where to start, and confidence.

@Ratherbe I’m so sorry to hear about your dog, it must be so hard especially on top of what’s already happened.

@Tinsel wow re the car accident, do they really think it could have caused your mc? I guess the money would be really handy, but of course it will never replace what you have lost. I had brown blood after mine too, I think it’s normal for it to stop and start a bit.

@Frazzle I found out about the supplements through much research on tinterweb and also from being on the over 40 ttc thread. I mostly follow the instructions on the packets. I am a bit concerned about taking too much folic acid though cause I have also just got cassanovum which has folic acid in it, so that’s 3 x 400mgs I’m having a day 😳 I’m not sure if this is okay or not...
I don’t think you are being unreasonable re your work colleague, she must understand how you are feeling, and really it’s on her to approach you, I think it’s really bad she didn’t speak to you at all! I understand she feels awkward, but she should still make the effort.

@Rachyrach83 I have looked into melatonin before, but for some reason I was a bit scared of it, I might have another look. I got my dhea from biovea.

@Frazzle I did buy some low dose asprin tablets, but I haven’t started taking them yet. I did read that it can help blood flow to the ovaries and uterus, which is a good thing. But you say they shouldn’t be taken while ttc?

Sending everyone much love
xxx

Frazzlerock · 13/12/2018 08:36

Morning,

Well after saying I was only buying Ubiquinol and EPO, I popped into Holland and Barrett en route to the station yesterday and bought Vitamin D spray, a big pot of Vitamin C, and some Bee Propolis. I am now completely skint. Silly really, I just couldn't help myself.
Pretty sure I have bought all the xmas pressies I need to (I hope anyway!)

I meant to say @TinselBee that sounds positive news about your crash. I would feel the same as you, but money will definitely come in handy. I hope your day isn't as manic today

DP and I are both WFH today so a nice relaxing one. I'm still in my PJ's when I'd normally be in the office half an hour ago. I love WFH - plus I've saved myself travel fare - double win.

When do you think is reasonable to try and chase up our genetic testing results of the baby? It's been two weeks tomorrow.

Thank you Rose I see, I think I'll stick with the fertility lube as that worked for us last time round on the first time we used it and that's to help aid get sperm to the egg etc. We've still got half a tube left.

Rose68 · 12/12/2018 17:43

Very quick message from me cause I am short of time, but @Tinsel and @Ratherbe you shouldn’t need these supplements, for us oldies they are good because they are meant to improve egg quality. You guys shouldn’t have that problem yet. For you guys I would recommend pregnacare conception and primrose oil.
I believe primrose oil helps the sperm get to the egg, some recommend only taking it from CD1 until ovulation, but I have been taking it all cycle. xxx

TinselBee · 12/12/2018 17:29

Ratherbe feels odd doesn't it feeling jealous and grouchy but also being pleased and happy for them. Really have my FX that you are lucky this cycle and have a healthy lil baby next year

TinselBee · 12/12/2018 17:27

Strange isn't it Frazzle as I'm only CD8 if I'm to count the first day I started bleeding. I've attached my chart. FF reckons I'll be ovulating CD14 which means only a 26 day cycle. Pre MC my cycles were 26-29 days in length. I thought cycles tend to be longer post MC? I'm confused!

ratherbeshowjumping · 12/12/2018 17:21

*pleased for her - that was meant to say!!

ratherbeshowjumping · 12/12/2018 17:19

@Frazzle and @Rachy - completely with you. One of my best friends put a bump pic on FB last night and I think that definitely fuelled part of my hysterics.... it's pathetic as I'm so pleased.
I really want to vow that when I am luckily enough to have a big bump, I won't put anything on Facebook, as you just don't know what others are going through.

100% take what you can to improve what you can. I've been having a little look at what to take to reduce chance of mc but there doesn't seem to be much on there.

I'm on CD20 now, out of a usual 26 CD cycle. With my last pg, CD20 was the first day I had a feeling I may be pg... and today I've had the cramps on the right hand side, tingly boobs, headaches and a dry mouth. I'm trying so so hard not to ss or get overexcited or to imagine things that absolutely are not there but I can't help but sit here with my fingers, toes, eyes, everything crossed.

Frazzlerock · 12/12/2018 17:07

@Rachyrach83 oh good, I'm glad its not just me struggling with preg women. TBH I have had a problem with them since our first loss in 2016 and still haven't worked out how to get over myself, apart from when I was pregnant this time. Pregnancy seems to cure the rage funnily enough... I've a feeling that is my only cure. Anyway, I have decided to WFH tomorrow as DS has a school xmas thing and I really don't want to be in.

@ratherbeshowjumping and @TinselBee I am interested as after three losses and at 39 years old I wonder if my eggs are just a bit shit now. I figured I would do all I can to improve my egg quality.

I don't think you younguns need to worry - I only took Pregnacare when preg with the DSs at 26 and 30 years old and had never had a MC until I turned 36

Interesting about your temp chart being similar too tinsel and FWIW I am still getting the odd brown blood. But only maybe once a day and a tiny amount - I'm now 13 days post op.

OP posts:
ratherbeshowjumping · 12/12/2018 17:06

Yes everything I've read has been saying to speed up labour, probably why they don't want you taking it at 8 weeks!!
Perhaps it is different ttc, or even early days pg!

TinselBee · 12/12/2018 17:04

ratherbe maybe it's different whilst TTC? MWs told us to take primrose oil post 36 weeks to help with prep of dilation during our antenatal class... Then again... DS was born bang on 37 weeks...

ratherbeshowjumping · 12/12/2018 16:56

I might have to look into this whole new world of pills just another thing to obsess over Grin
I've had a bit of a google and everything I've read has said not to take primrose oil whilst pg?

TinselBee · 12/12/2018 15:43

Ratherbe that's how I feel too haha. I'd only been taking folic acid but then I tried Seven Seas Trying for a baby pills and fell pregnant with the one I just lost. Taking Pregnacare this time (mum bought them otherwise would have been the seven seas ones again)

TinselBee · 12/12/2018 15:42

Afternoon all, had a manic day. Nursery photos, allergy check ups for DS and then my legal team phoned me regarding that car incident I had. Interestingly, my legal team reckons we will be able to claim against the prick that pulled out on me regards to the miscarriage as the dates of stopped growth match up to the car crash. Really would rather a baby than all that money but I guess at least I'll be able to treat my DS to a nice holiday next year.

Also... been bleeding brown blood today?! Had no bleeding or spotting prior Sunday but now brown blood?

Frazzle and Rachy my chart looks similar to that too with the massive temp drop today.

What makes you ladies take these supplements btw? I was big on taking a lot during pregnancy with DS to help with stuff, e.g. primrose oil to help with dilation and rose essence to help my SPD

ratherbeshowjumping · 12/12/2018 15:39

Think I may need to up my game.... I feel awful looking at these lists. The only thing I've been taking is folic acid!

Rachyrach83 · 12/12/2018 14:42

@frazzlerock
You and I are so similar!!
I’ve extended my sick note as the woman who sits opposite me is going on maternity leave on Friday and I struggled to tolerate all the sighing and belly-rubbing before so now I think I’ll lose it!! Thank god I’ll have 9 months rid of her when I go back.

Frazzlerock · 12/12/2018 14:33

Thanks @Rachyrach83

I've placed an order for Ubiquinol and evening primrose oil. I think I'll stick with those until payday and read up some more about melatonin.

I am currently hiding under my hoody at my desk with my earphones in and music on full blast. My colleague who is pregnant is in today and she is so loud and always talks about baby stuff. I loved it when I was pregnant. But really couldn't be around her before and now I can't tolerate her again.
She was really friendly when I was pregnant and we spoke loads. She hasn't spoken to me at all today. I realise she may feel awkward but rather than than have a dead baby, surely!?
I can't wait to leave today, thankfully I'm going in 2 mins as DS2 has a tennis lesson.

I hope she's not in tomorrow....

(yes I know I'm unreasonable but I honestly don't care today)

This is where I got it from
I brought the 3mg tablets

Just in Tesco getting some coq10 tablets.... would go for the dearer one mentioned but I’ve spent a fortune since my MMC and DH is getting a bit ratty as we conceived without any of it last time so thinks I’m wasting money

Frazzlerock · 12/12/2018 11:47

Oh @ratherbe what a shitty time for you. I know exactly what you mean about being pregnant making these things easier. I really hope you are both able to have fun in Prague. I'd love to go.

@Rose I remember you said you has shoulder pain on the ante-natal thread and we all said it sounded like you'd pulled it? What on earth could it be? Your boys break up so early! When do they go back? My two don't break up until next Weds - we are in Kent though, and not private, not sure if that makes a difference?
Thank you for your list of drugs Grin. I am intrigued by all of them. Do you know the doses of each? Also where is best to buy? Holland and Barratt? Or a more specialised place/website? I am actually taking Feroglobinm but stopped when pregnant as was worried I'd OD on vitamins with the Pregnacare Max as well (not sure if possible to OD but didn't want to take the risk). I get quite anemic so have to take it. I find I can get quite breathless if I stop.
How did you discover all those?

@Rachy I've just downloaded FF and entered my deets and my chart is basically the same as yours! Interesting about melatonin. Can you just buy that? I thought it was prescribed? I know a few of my friends with ASD children use it for their children to help them to sleep, but they were prescribed by specialists.

OP posts:
Rachyrach83 · 12/12/2018 11:23

Oh yes they do look similar!! That’s reassuring!

In regards to supplements I have been told 3mg of melatonin is great for improving egg quality ... it’s also a great cure for insomnia! I’ve been taking it for 3 nights and slept like a hibernating hedgehog!!

Rose68 · 12/12/2018 11:13

Morning Ladies

@Rachyrach83 I also have no experience of hcg levels, but I agree with Frazzle, although I would expect it to drop massively to start with and then tail off at the end. But I would expect it would be zero very soon.

@Tinselbee I got EWCM about 11 days after the op, but if you were already bleeding it’s possible your hcg levels had started to drop before. Also, I’m so sorry to hear it took you 12 months to conceive.

@Frazzlerock here is a list of what I am taking....
Pregnancare conception (thinking about changing this)
Ubiquinol and pqq (I think the pqq helps the ubiquinol work better which is why I haven’t upped my dose to 300)
Dhea (this is a hormone and isn’t suitable for everyone, I’m not sure if it’s suitable if you have PCOS)
Oil of evening primrose
paba
Vitamin D (spray form is best as it absorbs better 1000mg)
Royal jelly
Bee propolis
Vitamin c
Ferroglobin (iron supplement with b vits and folic acid)

We both also took maca root last time which I havent restarted yet.
I do rattle 😁

I had quite bad shoulder pain in my left shoulder when I was pregnant, and I can still feel it. I’m beginning to wonder if it will ever go. Although at the moment I have pains around my shoulder blades so that is masking it atm. I also had hot feet last night and I have a stuffy nose, both of which I had in the tww, but I feel like I have pmt which I definitely didn’t have, and that was the main thing that made me think I was preggers. I am really trying not to have pmt but it’s definitely there, I really yelled at my boys this morning and now I feel terrible for having done that 😞

My boys break up from school in 40 mins, so much to do and so little time! Must dash! xxx

ratherbeshowjumping · 12/12/2018 11:01

Morning everyone, had some really shit news last night, family dog has leukaemia. DM & DSF need to decide to go ahead with a blood transfusion which will prolong her life slightly, as opposed to cure, but trying to work out what the kindest option is. Today I feel like someone has put bricks in my "rucksack."
Had a mammoth cry last night - about everything - and did feel a bit better for it.
I just feel like something like this would be easier to deal with if I was pregnant still... I said this to DH and he looked at me a bit strange. Sounds ridiculous, but I would just be able to think to myself, "this is really shit, but I have to stay strong for my little bump." Now I've got nothing to be strong for.
We're off to Prague tomorrow for a long weekend so hoping that will lift things up.

@rachy I have absolutely no idea when it comes to HCG levels, I'm really sorry. As Frazzle said, you probably know more about this than we do, from researching.

@Frazzlerock, I know exactly what you mean. I have a cupboard full of Jaffacakes. I do like jaffas but I just can't bring myself to eat them knowing they were mini showjumpers favourite snack Sad

All a bit negative nancy over here today - sorry ladies....!

Frazzlerock · 12/12/2018 11:01

Your big drop was CD10 - CD12
Mine has been CD11 - CD13
