Hey @TinselBee, @Rose68, @BettySwoll0cks

Here is the thread I promised us.

Somewhere for us to help eachother, pick one another up, cry, scream, laugh..

Some of us may be looking to try again, some may be putting things on hold. Whatever our plans, lets get through this together.

(I don't know whether conception was the right choice of topic, I can always have this moved to a more suitable topic if anyone would like me to)

I will look through our threads again and see if I can @mention anyone else who might like to join us

I think Stephanie Davis has had one too, off the top of my head, but think just HOW many celebrities must suffer who don't say a word? I think what James VDB said was fantastic. I found the original ig post & sent it to dh earlier. Great to see a man talking about it too.

@Frazzlerock I'm sure you'll get time to fit in a sneaky session today!! Looks like you've got plenty though, well done to you & DP 👏🏼

I got a flashing smiley today which I'm pleased about as its showing my cycle is back to where it was before I fell pregnant. Absolutely no chance tonight but hopefully the next few days should be good. We did have a little make up session on Monday but dh committed the cardinal sin of reaching for the ky instead of the preseed 🤦🏽‍♀️🙈😂

edidxb · 02/01/2019 08:25

I think that's great what James VDB said - I wish more people in the public eye would talk about it this way. I am at work today and someone I work with and didn't really see before the holidays started came in and we had a long chat about miscarriages and fertility. He is a man and in his early 40s and sometimes it's nice to chat to someone removed from the situation with a different take. He wanted to talk about, it wasn't me bringing it up. So that felt good.

@Twittlebee - If there is a line, there is still a line until there isn't a line.......so positive thoughts!

@Frazzlerock - I am SURE you will get a BD session in today!!

My DH and I managed to break our dry spell last night and DTD - first time for 9 days. Still have no idea where I am in the cycle, whether I have ovulated etc. If it was during the last 9 days then there is no chance!

Frazzlerock · 02/01/2019 08:19

Thanks for the FF info @kinsters. I'm not sure how Ovusense predicts tbh! But here is the jist of it:
www.ovusense.com/uk/about-ovusense/

The only thing you enter is if you had sex and if you have a period. I've had to enter my spotting as a period as can't enter spotting.
It syncs your temp which can be at any time of the day providing you've had 4 hours consecutive sleep before you remove the device. You don't even have to sync immediately once its out. You've got a 2 hour window to sync it.

So all it goes on is temp. But this is core temp rather than basal body temp so, they say, is more accurate.

@Rachy - that is wonderful and exactly how I feel about the term 'miscarriage'. I hate it! Thank you for sharing

So, DP has just come downstairs and has decided to WFH so we have the house to ourselves for the whole day Grin I'm actually WFH too but I'm sure we can fit in a little BD

And in other news I’m still getting HIGH on CMFM and f-all on internet cheapies 😢

Rachyrach83 · 02/01/2019 08:06

Wow this made me cry!!
James Van derBeek has said this after his wife’s miscarriages. It’s touching:

"First off—we need a new word for it. “Mis-carriage”, in an insidious way, suggests fault for the mother—as if she dropped something, or failed to “carry.” From what I’ve learned, in all but the most obvious, extreme cases, it has nothing to do with anything the mother did or didn’t do. So let’s wipe all blame off the table before we even start."

"Second," he continued, "it will tear you open like nothing else. It’s painful and it’s heartbreaking on levels deeper than you may have ever experienced. So don’t judge your grief, or try to rationalize your way around it. Let it flow in the waves in which it comes, and allow it its rightful space. And then, once you’re able, try to recognize the beauty in how you put yourself back together differently than you were before."

Kinsters · 02/01/2019 08:01

Frazzle FF only puts the crosshairs in after it confirms you've ovulated with three higher than coverline temperatures (I think it isn't just that it looks for but thats the main sign) . If it thinks you might have ovulated but isn't sure then the crosshairs are dashed rather than solid.

That's interesting that ovusense seems to predict when ovulation will happen. How does it do that? Does it use temperatures or just rely on secondary signs like cm and cervix position?

I think that should be plenty of sex. Apparently two days before ovulation is the most fertile day. It's so impossible to time though so I wouldn't stress too much as long as you're doing it every other day.

Frazzlerock · 02/01/2019 07:43

Also, we didn't have sex yesterday, but did the day before. If we go again tonight and keep it up for a couple of days, reckon that will be enough? I worry yesterday cold have been our moment! Although the blue line is today. Eeek!

OP posts:
Frazzlerock · 02/01/2019 07:37

When does FF put in those cross lines?

Morning,

@Twittle could that dip be implantation? As @kinsters say, it can take a while for tests to get darker, especially this early on, and would you have two faulty tests?

Ovusense has predicted my fertile window again, so maybe the EWCM was the real deal. FF has not predicted it though.

Pic coming up...

OP posts:
Kinsters · 02/01/2019 06:58

It sometimes takes a few days for them to get darker Twittle so don't give up all hope. It's hard not to think the worst after going through chemicals and miscarriages though. I really hope this one works out for you.

Frazzle to add, my ewcm is very rarely clear either.

TwittleBee · 02/01/2019 06:02

Well test looks exact same this morning so taking it as faulty tests as surely it should be darker? Also FF chart really looks like I ovulated on 30th/31st tbh, be interesting to see what happens tomorrow.

Betty we were potty training over holidays too! Yay for that wee!

Kin FX you are gonna ovulate soon! Hope your temp rises nice and clearly for you too.

Frazzle my ewcm isn't always totally clear. The times ive had pink streaks is when I've ovulated actually!

edidxb · 02/01/2019 04:09

Hi,

Yes, I saw that about Gordon Ramsey's wife at 44. I am sure a lot of older celebrities must have fertility treatment and we don't hear about it. I know you can fall pregnant naturally at 44, but it is unlikely. However, her previous miscarriage was very sad - I think it was quite late if I remember well.
I have googled before celebrities who have had miscarriages - some of them are Pink, Beyonce, Courtney Cox who have spoken about them. Zara from the Royal Family as well. But not many who have spoken about multiple miscarriages.

Kinsters · 02/01/2019 02:34

Loving the beach pictures! Ratherbe those seals look so cute! I live somewhere hot all year round but nowhere near a beach. I miss the UK tbh cause here it's not easy to go for a country walk because its just so hot and sweaty.

I feel like I should be about to ovulate (high cervix, ewcm) but no temperature rise yet. I don't really trust opks at the moment because I think there's probably some residual HCG which would affect the results. I really hate not knowing when it's going to happen. I was sooo regular before this and now I just feel in a follicular phase limbo. Sucks.

Yay for potty training Betty!

TwittleBee I hope your line has got stronger today! I definitely don't think it's too early for a line, especially if you ovulated even one day earlier than fertility friend thinks. Understand the concern re chemicals.

ratherbeshowjumping · 01/01/2019 20:34

@edidxb that looks gorgeous 😍 sunshine all year round must be lovely. Definitely beats rainy Cornwall 😂

Thanks @Rose68, I needed that. I know a mc doesn't mean that I can't carry to full term, I know that 1 in 3 pregnancies end in one... but how many times do I/we need to fall into that awful 33% before a little one falls into my lap? It's exhausting!

Can't believe Gordon Ramsay's wife is pregnant again!!! It seems celebrities are constantly popping them out - it would be interesting to know which celebrities have suffered from losses, if there as common as they apparently are. It would do a lot to reduce the stigma around talking about it.

@BettySwoll0cks bless him 😍👏🏼 baby steps....!

smerlin · 01/01/2019 20:15

Congratulations @TwittleBee! Don't be sorry at all- baby dust on this thread is good for all of us Grin

BettySwoll0cks · 01/01/2019 18:42

Happy NY everyone! Hope everyone who celebrated had a brilliant time. We ditched our plans and stayed in last night, the pair of us are so sick we couldn't risk giving the flu to everyone else! But that's fine, I'm not that big on NYE anyway.

@TwittleBee Wow!! Amazing news. Happy birthday - and fx for you that it all goes brilliantly.

@ratherbe - your comment about being pregnant last year made me smile. I look back at 2018 and I was basically pregnant all year (3 mc's on the bounce). A bit sad but I have to remind myself of that when I'm being mean to myself about not being amazing/a little bit fat during 2018 - it was a horrible year. Good riddance!!

@Rose68 thank you for your comment about not enjoying sex while bf'ing. That's really interesting and has given me something to think about. It just hasn't been the same since I fell pg with DS, but then I've been pg or bf'ing solidly for the past 3.5yrs so that has got to have a lot to do with it x

Big news in my house is that DS just managed his first wee in his potty 😂 he is so pleased w himself I can't tell you. When DH came home, DS made I'm look in the toilet as he explained how we flushed it away together. So funny! Big boy. Weaning next week... 😬

Rose68 · 01/01/2019 17:42

@Ratherbe, you will have a baby, I know you will. If you and DH are okay now I expect it will happen very quickly. I know it’s hard when it’s you and you don’t know what will happen, but all the signs are good and one mc really doesn’t mean you will mc again.

@Frazzle, sending you a hug, I think your body needs a bit of time, I’m sure AF or ov will happen soon, and then you will know where you are. My ewcm is usually clear, but it can also be opaque, esp after sex, maybe it gets mixed up with you know what from DH.

I had stacks of ewcm this month, I just so wish we hadn’t had that disaster sex. We have dtd lots after that, but I can’t stop thinking that first bd was the important one. Plus I am slightly wishing I hadn’t drunk quite as much as I did last night 😩

Gordon Ramsey’s wife is pregnant and she is older than me, yay!

Rachyrach83 · 01/01/2019 17:20

Ah you guys!!! I’d love to live by a beach!!!! I live 200miles from any sea!!!! 😢

edidxb · 01/01/2019 17:19

Here is my beach trip. 10am, coffee, pretty hazy and about 26 degrees.
We then went to the pool this afternoon.
Had a leftover sausage casserole from the BBQ for dinner and currently finishing off the champagne from last night!!

Here is my chart...........hopefully.
What a mess. No temps, no BD for a week!!!

The July '19ers - knocked down, but never beaten
edidxb · 01/01/2019 17:03

@Frazzlerock - my EWCM is often opaque and I have had blood in it before so I wouldn't worry about that at all.

I am on CD26 today and no positive OPKs and no AF. I maybe had a positive OPK 2 weeks ago but as no AF and no positive pregnancy test (I did take another one yesterday) I assume no ovulation yet. I might post my chart so you can all laugh at all the temps I haven't taken!!

@Ratherbeshowjumping - brilliant photos. What a dramatic beach. I went to the beach this morning but doesn't compare at all.....again I might post a photo.

@rachyrach83 I know how you feel. My first due date last year was 3rd Oct and on Christmas Day there were loads of 3 month old babies at lunch ( we went out) and it made me feel really sad. And now there are announcements when I was going to announce........very sad.

Frazzlerock · 01/01/2019 16:25

Oh and I deffo found EWCM yesterday but, again, I had to rummage for it. And
TMI...

I expected EWCM to be clear? Mine was opaque and streaks of pink in it.
But deffo stretchy as it should be.

Like I say, I don't get it unless I rummage so who knows 🤷‍♀️

Happy new year all of you wonderful ladies.

And Happy birthday @TwittleBee and woah!! What a wonderful birthday surprise! Man I hope it's a sticky one for you. You need it! Fuck it, we all need it to give us hope!

Well duck knows what is going on with my temps. Keep thinking I'm about to ovulate but don't.

OPKs positive then not, then positive again

Happy new year #fuckingPCOS

CD33 now 🙄

I think I need to get back on the no sugar, no dairy, no gluten, no life, no joy diet. It worked last time.

Like all of you, I just so badly need to be pregnant again but I can't even ovulate.

Still, last night's party was fun and we are still lying in bed at 4:20pm after inhaling a McDonald's. DP is in a terrible way after drinking 3/4 bottle of gin 😂 I had vodka lime and soda which doesn't really give me hangovers luckily!

Sending lots of love @Rachyrach83, it's a bit of a funny day isn't it? I keep thinking to myself, "I was pregnant last year." How bizarre does that sound?
It upsets me knowing that there's a good chance I should fall pregnant this year but what are the odds of me actually staying pregnant? Will I have a baby this year? Next year? Ever? This miscarriage has nearly succeeded in tearing dh & I apart when we needed each other most. What would happen to us if I miscarried again? It's a horrible thought.

Anyway, enough negativity!

@TwittleBee how are you feeling? Any symptoms yet?!

Despite my negative thoughts, dh & I have had a lovely day today. Went for a really good long beach walk & were lucky enough to see about 50 seals just chilling on the beach! 😍

Thank you everyone, trying hard to stay calm and not get too excited. DH says there is certainly a line there but after a few CPs I know it could easily go again. A couple on a FB group I'm on think it's too early for a FRER to even pick up and that it's likely a shit test.

Looking at my chart I think maybe i could be 7dpo and this morning's temp rise was implant rise? Idk.

Rather hopefully that's the only shit you'll have to deal with in 2019 🤞😂

Rachy I was also gonna do the SM announcement, was planning on being awfully cringe too, had a few ideas from Pinterest on how I was gonna announce etc. So I do totally understand. I am sorry. Your chart is crazy looking, guess just see what next few days bring. xx
