Ok so almost a week late finally got a positive OPK so I guess have to DTD as much as possible and the 2ww starts here - last month my period came exactly 2 weeks after my positive OPK!

I am new here, but have been creeping around in the shadows for many months... finding out lots of very useful information. So thought it was finally time to join the convo!

We are TTC #1 - and after months of being casual and just hoping it would happen, I am now getting veeeery serious!!

I am nearly 35 so quite old to be trying. Due on the 1st Jan, so probs gonna test on New Year’s Eve.

Hi can I join TTC #2 dunno what cycle but I'm cd 14 apparently ovulating today but have DTD the past 4 days and early hours of this morning so fingers crossed. Would it be worth DTD the next two days just incase or will I have missed my chance if I've ovulated today?

@whoatemytwix .... I started testing on the recommend cycle day for a 30 day cycle and it has not shown a smiley face. I am now on cycle day 19 so am wondering whether I ovulated early. It is very complicated isn’t it!! I would definitely DTD just incase.

Ladies I have questions... what's OPK?

I have tried using FR Ovulation tests once before and started again this week; Because I had a very short cycle last month and the instructions say to test according to the shortest cycle in 6 months.

After one dodgy test yesterday (I can't even tell you what I did in my state of stupor at silly AM) today I got a flashing smiley face. Which would suggest ovulation is close- but how?! It's only cycle day 8/9?

Why does this mission have to be so complicated 🧐

So what dpo did you originally think you were?

The cramping could be a good sign.

When I was pregnant before we had only just started trying so I wasn't paying enough attention to dates. When I tested I was already 7 days late (oh how times have changed and now I test far too early 😂)

Anyway over that week I had cramps the whole time, so was expecting AF. So my limited experience is that cramps are a positive sign, however also clearly easily confused with AF itself!

@agteacht I've had light cramping randomly on and off the past few days. Mostly in my left but some in the right. If I'm 11DPO that would explain why my prior test was a BFN. I'm going to wait until Tuesday which is when the second app predicts AF and test with FMU. Hoping my temp might go back up tomorrow morning and it's a implantation dip wishful thinking? When are you testing?

Hey @KernowBee you got me interested so I downloaded Glow! I've been using Ovia. Glow looks more accurate though - Ovia has been saying AF is due tomorrow but it can't be if you believe my OPKs. Glow however said that I ovulated on 7th and AF due on 21st which is what I've been reckoning. We will see which is right!!

I have light cramping this morning though... when are you planning to test?

I downloaded another app (glow) put all my info in the same as FF and Flo and I have 3 different predicted AF dates which is fun! today, Tuesday and Friday still?!!

I woke up around 6am this morning and thought I'd temp, was at 36.94. Went back to sleep and woke up at 8am and temped as usual and it was down to 36.62. Logged that one as its my usual temping time. Its updated my cycle and changed my O day, so I'm back at 11DPO according to FF. It's also caused a big drop in my Temps. Sore breasts on the sides, so I'm assuming AF is on the way.

Trying to hold out as it isn't over until she shows, but feeling the pain of that making it a whole year TTC creeping in.

Morning all

I took a test this morning and a very clear negative. Today I'm 9DPO. AF due around next Friday. Now a bit annoyed at myself for testing early 😬😂😬

@holly866 I think it was definitely AF- it was too heavy and lasted too long to be implantation. I'm trying not to freak out about the sudden change in cycle length.
@Frillyfarmer sorry it's not your month either.
We are staying with family for a long period over Christmas- sleeping arrangements are such that this mission will pretty much be on hold unless I ovulate this week.

I’m out. I’d quietly been quite sure I was pregnant so I was quite upset when AF arrived yesterday.

Hey, ovulation due Xmas day - so that’s something to go for!

Oh it's hard not to test though isn't it!!

I am going away on Friday until Christmas Eve so definitely will test before then as otherwise won't see my husband until the 24th. But ideally if I could hold out until Thursday... unlikely though 😂
I took an OPK today because I'm paranoid about ovulating late even though I'm sure i ovulated already. A couple of cycles though I seemed to have a second surge. Anyway the OPK was completely clear so that kind of says to me that there's no point in taking a HPT just yet (not sure if my logic follows).

I am also planning on going to the docs in January if nothing this month. The positive thing about a MC though is knowing it's possible to get pregnant. I'm 35 and it would be my first so the clock is definitely ticking so keen not to wait much longer. Unfortunately post MC we wasted about half a year because my body was messed up so that's a real shame.

Onwards and upwards though and praying for us both to have good news ❤️
