Thanks @KatBeCool and nope @DayDreamer1707 I had a positive OPK last night even though I was still spotting from AF and was only CD7. Tried a FRER today just in case but it was negative, did another OPK and it's negative too x

@cupcakesandglitter was you using the OPK as a kind of pregnancy test? Think I've missed something here? x

@cupcakesandglitter that is really odd about that opk then. Unless it was faulty. Good luck with your tests!

@starkid @MrsR16 it's OK 😊 I'm going to focus on being positive and try not to stress about it. I have put alot of pressure on myself over it I don't mean to but you just do!
Been trying for a while now with no luck so I think I'm off to see the doctors get us both checked out and see what happens from there xx

@DayDreamer1707 @EltzBee @MrsAW2018 apparently they're a common fault on new FRERs 🤷🏻‍♀️ OPK is negative too - I also see progression before my positive, so really weird to have got a positive yesterday 😩 my ultrasound for PCOS is tomorrow, so hopefully I'll get some answers. I've already had a drink this month and think I'll carry on and not test at all now... getting really fed up x

@MrsR16 my cycle sounds very similar to yours! I'm due on 26/12!
Are you doing OPKs and temp to find O day?

@MrsAW2018 what cycle day are you? When did you get your +ve O test? That's what's throwing me a bit. When to start DTD every day as I'm using clear blue and it has a flashing smiley face for high fertility and then solid for peak. I was thinking if and when I get a solid smiley face we will DTD everyday until I get nothing again. All so technical!!
Is this your first month doing SMEP too?
I know me too 🙁 it's so disheartening it really gets me down. How long have you been trying for?

@cupcakesandglitter that's weird, did you only get one? I've never had a line on a HPT, not even a white one so I'm not sure what that means. I hope your OPK comes back positive so you know where you are x

@MrsR16 ooh a BFP on Christmas Day would be amazing!! Not sure when I'm due my period this month as the apps did say 23rd December but now I've inputted a positive ovulation test they've moved it forward to 17th December... not helpful lol! Definitely felt something yesterday - I was crampy (and a bit grumpy lol). We're following the SMEP this month so DTD every other day until yesterday and then everyday for 3 days. I'm hoping so much that that's enough. I'm not sure I can bear getting a BFN again 😭😢☹️

Hoping for my BFP around Christmas Day as AF is due 26/12! Could make or break Christmas for me!
Started using Clear Blue OPKs this month. How's everyone found them? Read mixed reviews that some people never got the smiley faces (still don't quite get it all). Tried ICs last month and had no success so bit the bullet! Also trying SMEP this month!

@cupcakesandglitter ah bless you. Could you be ovulating earlier this month, or just your body gearing up? I did an OPK yesterday and it was negative but there was a line, just not as dark as they get for me usually. I do usually see the progression getting darker, and I have before now had two positives in one month.

@cupcakesandglitter that's odd maybe it's just a fault test? Yes do another and see what comes up...FX xx

Hi ladies. Wow I have a few days off and we're 7 pages in already, eek! I see some new names, howdy :)

On cycle day 11 today, 6th cycle ttc.

Been keeping an eye on my temp still this month (missed day 2 as I was still in a grump with getting af!). Negative OPK yesterday, will be re-testing again this afternoon to see if it's any stronger. DTD yesterday though, so swimmers are there waiting hopefully!

Trying to stay more chilled this month; have a massage booked for Friday too :) I'm still in denial that it's now December, though!! I realise that if we don't conceive in the next 3 cycles we would be having a 2020 baby, which sounds so, so long away. But more time to save up to help money situation whilst on maternity leave, I suppose!!!

Tomorrow evening will be the next weigh in after my first week doing 'Slimming World'. Fingers crossed for a weight loss; I think I've stuck to it pretty well, I've been eating a lot more fruit and veg. Hoping losing some weight will help with conceiving, and more healthy habits if we do get preg! Went and saw the MIL on Sunday and she'd bought a decadent dessert, which I managed to resist and refuse several times so was quite proud of myself, and had raspberries and yogurt when I got home.

Relieved that my blood tests came back 'normal' - so no thyroid issue or sign of PCOS, which is good.

@yorkshiretealass welcome. I came off the pill end of early July after being on it for 15 years. It's been a learning curve having all the hormones and different 'symptoms' - I spent the first couple of months convinced I was pregnant each time. Now I know for me, nausea is quite normal in the time between ovulation and my period, and that the day after I ovulate I get incredibly bloated, constipated and gassy (sorry for TMI!) - my hormones changing seem to send my body haywire. My skin is also terrible since coming off the pill and I put on weight (2 stone!!!) which I really wasn't expecting to happen - the Doctor has said this can happen as for some people hormones do go kinda crazy.

How has everyone else been the past few days? Keeping with tradition and posting an essay (sorry!!!)

@DayDreamer1707 good website find. Some really interesting trackers, just don't look up the age and fertility calculator, both sobering and really depressing. Hope we can all best the odds, FX bfps before new year! X

@DayDreamer1707 well, AF is due Christmas Eve. The only problem is that if by some miracle I do get pregnant this month then either I'll need to tell my parents and the in-laws or I need to come up with some whacky story as to why I can't drink on Christmas! Especially as we're staying over my in-laws for that very reason 😂

@MrsR16 I have been taking it easy to be fair, I've drank and eaten what i wanted too. Just since the confusion with the OPKs it's just frustrated me and I've got all emotional. That's why I'm thinking AF must be around the corner. Are you due to do a test on Christmas Day?? How amazing would that be!!

@MrsAW2018 I'm doing ok, just have down days every now and then! I'm hoping I can get a bfp on Christmas Day this month, but we will see! Do you feel like you're ovulating? Hope you're getting on the BD-ing wagon! 😂

@DayDreamer1707 that's where I was last cycle! Just so frustrating that I don't ever seem to get pregnant... I decided to try and take it easier this cycle, not worrying (well, as much as I can) and eating what I want, drinking what I want. I've even stopped religiously taking my pre-pregnancy stuff. I take it when I remember

@GemmaJen we've been ttc since May, so every time AF arrived in the last couple of months it's been more and more sad. But at least I now know what my post-ovulation symptoms are and that I don't have to run for test with those, it'll have to be something new, otherwise I don't even bother unless I'm late. My temp dropped yesterday, so after some Dr Internet reading I've learned that there's such thing as secondary estrogen surge that causes it. Temp went up today so I'm more in peace.

@cupcakesandglitter I don't think that the thickness of line matters as long as it's there. But since it's quite a bit early in your cycle and you said you're still spotting, I'd do a frer. So stop keeping us in suspense and poas! Fingers crossed for you!

Sorry double-post, @DayDreamer1707 thank you for that link, really useful! I'm going to wait til Friday then be between 80-90% accurate according to their stats and my possible ov dates.

Morning everyone :) Good luck for all those entering their TWW this week!

Am CD26, with a positive OPK on CD16, so 8-10 days after ovulation I guess? Clue says AF due today but that seems a bit soon. Have had sore boobs for a few days but nothing else. Am thinking will see if I can wait til Friday before testing (if AF isn't here by then), as that'll be nearer two weeks since ov, and CD29 is my more common cycle length (let's see how I get on with that haha!)

Af has made her appearance, obviously not meant to be this month!
Oh well start a fresh next month 😔
