@Mistymeow Thank you. It is 6 weeks today since my last miscarriage so I had 8 vials of bloods taken for recurrent miscarriage testing. Not sure what, if anything, I'm hoping them to find.

Mistymeow · 23/01/2019 18:16

@boboelephant thank you lovely. Can't believe those statistics, wow! I've got everything crossed for your IVF round, your egg collection must be soon :)
@TinyPaws thank you! I hope you're doing ok?
@dimblebimble I would call up Clear Blue and ask for them to send you more (or email with a photo) those are expensive and they ought to replace them. Your strip test looks stronger than mine so I think you would get a very good line on a FRER. I'm not testing anymore, I'll just get myself worrying. What will be will be.
@InDreamland thank you. Sorry to hear your due date is approaching. You may remember that I purchased a little black cuddly cat in memory of my little one- he sits on my shelf. It brought me great comfort. Make a nice memory to mark your baby. Will be thinking of you x

So sorry to see new ladies on the thread. You are in such great hands. I would have been lost and alone these past 9 months (I joined the thread back in April/May). Sending lots of love to you all x

InDreamland · 23/01/2019 17:51

@Dimblebimble waiting until Saturday is a good idea.

lilmousey · 23/01/2019 16:30

@Laney79 I've ordered the pregnacare pre-natal. My next gp appt is in 3 weeks (I swear booking a routine appt is the most difficult thing!) want to get my bloods taken as well, so will see if they recommend I need anything else after the results come back. Is there a reason you think you have mthfr? And why won't they test you for it yet?

@Dimblebimble definite line on the ic :) wait a few days and then go for the frer! Fx for you

@Lilimum6 how are you doing? Hope you managed to get booked in for the guided erpc

Dimblebimble · 23/01/2019 10:36

@indreamland That's a good idea. Yes I think I'll either get a frer or a digital, but perhaps wait until Friday or Saturday to take it (af is due on Friday) x

InDreamland · 23/01/2019 10:15

@Dimblebimble we have decided to do something, just need to book it/plan it. Could you just allow yourself 1 FRER?

Dimblebimble · 23/01/2019 09:25

@InDreamland would it help to plan something to do on that day, to take your mine off things?

Yes I thought about getting a frer. I'm torn between wanting to be certain I'm pregnant and not wanting to get caught in the spiral of endless testing! I got hooked last time, and was testing up until 5 weeks, but in the end it didn't help things.

InDreamland · 23/01/2019 08:26

@Mistymeow congratulations! Fx for a sticky bean!

@Lilimum6 I'm so sorry you still having a terrible time.

InDreamland · 23/01/2019 08:24

Hi ladies. Just checking in. Sorry not been around for a few days. I've just been so busy which isn't such a bad thing with due date of first baby on Friday approaching. I've only had one breakdown this week so far.

I've tried to catch up but I've missed so much! Sending love to you all!

@Dimblebimble congrats on the pregnancy. Maybe get a FRER?

Dimblebimble · 23/01/2019 07:50

Argh! The 2 digital tests I ordered both came up with an error message even though I followed the instructions to the letter! A waste of ten quid!

I can see a clear line on the ic now though so feeling pretty confident I'm pregnant. Feel anxious about it already but going to try and adopt the mentality of 'today I'm pregnant' that other ladies in the board have mentioned.

Laney79 · 23/01/2019 07:29

@lilmousey I take pregnacare pre-natal (we buy the his n hers) high dose folic acid (go prescribed after my first loss saying it wouldn't do any harm but may help) co enzyme Q10, and I've been taking a little extra vitamin D as my blood test showed it was only just "adequate" even with the pregnacare -my go said it was safe to take up to 25ug a day (pregnacare has 15ug I think)

I'm toying with whether to switch to folate rather than folic acid though in case I have a mthfr mutation (which they won't test me for yet)...

lilmousey · 22/01/2019 22:01

Sorry you find yourself here @MummyG82 but welcome! No reason why you shouldn't start ttc again if you feel ready both physically and mentally - the recommendation to wait for your next period is usually just for dating purposes. I was reading on another thread that a lady had a mc and then got pregnant before her next period and had a healthy baby, so it can happen! My oh and I are keen to start ttc again after my mc on 2 jan so we're in a similar place. I've just started tracking ovulation as I have no idea where I am following the mc, but nothing yet.

Ladies, are any of you taking fertility supplements?

MummyG82 · 22/01/2019 20:23

@Laney79 thank you and that's what I was thinking! We might struggle to work out dates until dating scan if we were successful but I can see why we shouldn't try.

I ment to add on my first post, Sorry everyone's losses. Life can be so cruel at times. Xxx

Laney79 · 22/01/2019 20:12

@MummyG82 welcome, sorry to hear of your losses. If it was me and I felt ready I'd just crack on. Doesn't sound like other than dating the pregnancy you have any reason to wait to TTC. Xxx

Laney79 · 22/01/2019 20:08

Hi @Boboelephant I caved in Sunday at 9dpo and it was a bfn. I know it's early but I don't feel pregnant and I'm 11dpo today. Normally AF would come tomorrow/thurs on day 26/27 of cycle so I'm just awaiting the witch. The hopeful dreamer in me says do another test tomorrow because I may just have been a bit later implanting but reality is it's highly unlikely. Also didn't do myself any favours by looking up the miscarriage stats based on day of implantation. Own worst enemy me!

How are you doing? Xxx

MummyG82 · 22/01/2019 20:01

Hi all, hope you don't mind me joining. Little background on me. I had a MC 10 years ago with ex which was horrendous as I MC in April but didn't pass everything till September! Hospital didn't call me back in for check ups or anything. Jan 2013 I had my ds who's now a healthy nearly 6 year old. My DH n I decided last year to try for no 2 but unfortunately on 27th Dec at 12 week scan we found no baby just an empty sack, this was tough as I'd had no bleeding or signs of MC. We were told it may be a partial molar pregnancy, I was told I could wait for it to start naturally, which would mean rushing to hospital when it did start so they could collect it for analysis or I could opt for surgical removal, the option I took because of previous experience, and it also ment they could send it off for analysis. I had the surgery on 28th Dec, had a blood test for HCG a week later which was 48 then did a home pregnancy test a week later which came back as not pregnant and today have received a letter saying it was not partial molar, which we are relieved about but are now wondering if it's classed as a MMC!? Anyway I still haven't had a period but DH n I want to start TTC asap, should we wait till I've had a period? What's your opinions please?

TinyPaws · 22/01/2019 20:00

@Mistymeow Congratulations! I am rooting for you and your little bean so hard!

MeghanV07 · 22/01/2019 19:36

@Boboelephant I was one of those 30%! Well, my mum was. She didn't convince after 18 months, went to her fertility app & they did a test to make sure and she was pregnant with me 🥰

Boboelephant · 22/01/2019 19:27

@Mistymeow oh my goodness!!! How amazing! Do you know I read somewhere that 30% of women struggling with infertility get pregnant naturally when they start the IVF process. I'm so so happy for you! Fingers crossed for a sticky bean 🤞🤞

Waves to everyone else. Sorry up for those I miss, I ended up several pages behind again.
@Dimblebimble tentative congrats to you as well.
@Lilimum6 so sorry this crap is neverending for you. I agree about not accepting their change of mind. That's just rubbish on their part.
@Yukka and @SerenaOverjoyed so happy to hear you have both reached 12 weeks. 😀
@Laney79 how are you getting on? Have you managed to hold off testing?

Hope everyone else is ok.

Mistymeow · 22/01/2019 18:30

Thanks so much for all your lovely comments. I spoke to my GP and he said to cancel the ivf appointment. He said my news had made his day, very sweet. I spoke to the hospital and they were lovely, said they will cancel the appointment and if it didn’t work out they will put me back on the list (which is only 3 months in our area). I’m just scared it will end soon, I had some light brown cm (spotting) today. I know they say brown blood is old blood but it still brought back the memory of the miscarriage.

Russkispy · 22/01/2019 14:58

@Mistymeow massive congratulations! Hope the little bean sticks!

Beaglemum93 · 22/01/2019 13:31

Congratulations @Mistymeow!

Yukka · 22/01/2019 12:42

@mistymeow congrats!!! Amazing! Slightly ironic it’s just before your IVF! Are you going to speak to gp first or just go to the appointment? X
