@Justincase87 is there much bleeding or is it more spotting? How far along are you? Bleeding in early pregnancy is pretty common and isn't always a bad thing. Fingers crossed everything is ok.

Justincase87 · 29/11/2018 19:30

Please could I have a handhold? I'm stuck at work until 9.30pm and I have just started bleeding (I had some spotting last week and now it's started again) trying not to cry but I'm here with another member of staff who doesn't know I'm pregnant again - so sad, don't think I can cope going through this again

Dramaqueen14 · 29/11/2018 18:40

I’m sorry to hear so many of us are struggling. I honestly don’t think people understand unless they have been through it. Some of my friends and in laws expect me to be over it, it’s only 2 and a half months. Got so upset on Sunday. Spent the weekend with my in laws and my SIL (she’s young, only just 20) sat there and showed me videos of her cuddling her friends newborn. I’m like do I really need to see this. DH saw how upset and uncomfortable I was getting so changed the subject.

Argh, anyway that was a pointless rant. Sometimes I feel this is the only place I can go to speak to other ladies who actually get what I’m saying!

I hope everyone gets their BFP soon. I’m in my TWW and just want to test. I know it’s not happened this month as DH had the flu so we missed a couple of days so I already know I’m out this month x

applesin · 29/11/2018 17:34

Hey everyone
Age: 27
TTC #2, DS is 29 months
MC x 2 on April (Blighted ovum) and October (missed miscarriage) this year.
Just had my first period since the latest miscarriage a few weeks ago, I've been spotting every day since then. Hardly anything, but can definitely smell the copper tang if that makes sense.
CD 13
I'm expecting ovulation probably between CD 17 and 20 but since it's my first cycle since MC who knows.
The sporting every day has been freaking me out, along with the intermittent nausea and back ache... Have done two tests since my period cos of that, both negative - I have experienced HG in all my pregnancies so early nausea is usual for me.
Seriously struggling with my anxiety at the moment, it's so hard.

Hi guys,

I hope you don’t mind me joining! I am 24 and had MMC with pg number 1 at 11 weeks, baby only measured 9. I had a d&c on 24th October. Tested tissue from d&c came back normal and all bloods are to apart from a high platelet count. Has anyone else had this come up in a blood test or know much about it? Wanting to TTC asap.

Wishing everyone plenty of luck 🌈💕

Babycakes1989 · 29/11/2018 16:54

Thank you so much beaglemum93 also 😘 having you ladies is such a big comfort xxx

Babycakes1989 · 29/11/2018 16:53

Thank you so much Hayleyfx😘 your comment means a lot. It’s such a gut wrenching awful feeling. I can’t express how comforting and overwhelming I find it talking to you incredible strong women who have been through the same heartache as me. Xxx

Beaglemum93 · 29/11/2018 16:52

@Babycakes1989 sorry you're feeling so down today, pregnancy announcements are so difficult :( It's perfectly understandable to feel like this towards them given what we've been through. I know there's nothing anyone can say to make you feel any better but you're not alone and you can rant to us anytime you need!

hayleyfx · 29/11/2018 16:46

@Babycakes1989 it’s so tough, I’m sorry 😔 I’ve been in a similar situation since losing my son, I fell pregnant at exactly the same time as my DP’s cousin. Every time I see her bump I have to go to the bathroom and cry for a bit. Even now. Her gender reveal was especially hard, as she’s having a boy too. I just felt like - well why was my boy not given the chance of life? What about him? Why us? & it’s a horrible feeling. Makes me feel guilty for feeling that way but it’s 100% natural, we’re allowed to feel this way. So just want to say I totally understand, it’s just a rubbish situation to be in and I hope you’re feeling better soon xx

Babycakes1989 · 29/11/2018 16:38

Bad mood day. Friend found out she’s having a boy, everyone cooing over her. I like her & im happy for her but I feel sad as feels like they don’t understand what it’s like to lose a baby. It’s all done in front of me. I think people think after a couple months your ‘ok’ or ‘over it’. The pain is so raw & comes in waves. I’m not a jealous bitter person at all, I feel terrible as so many friends have announced lately & it’s affected me & I didn’t want it to but I can’t help it 😪 all I keep thinking about is, it’s nearly Christmas & I was so excited to be waddling around with a big old baby bump buying cute baby outfits prior to he/she’s arrival in February. Except I’m here waddling in self pity with a glass of wine in the bath, but because I can’t stop eating because I’m sad & just want some good news for once 💕 don’t feel like you have to give me sympathy I know you all feel the same. It helps me just blurting it out like this. Hope everyone’s had a good day xxxx

Beaglemum93 · 29/11/2018 16:27

@Dimblebimble I really hope so, fingers crossed your body will go back to normal again soon. It seems cruel that miscarriages drag on for so long, it's painful enough without it!

Dimblebimble · 29/11/2018 16:08

Hopefully it will be negative for you by then🤞

Nope, I have no idea 🤨 I think she might have thought I was younger than I am as she was saying I was young and probably hadn't had an invite for a smear yet (I'm 29!), so maybe she was thinking there was no rush? I think we'll start trying after my next period as long as everything has settled down.

Beaglemum93 · 29/11/2018 15:57

@Dimblebimble he said if it's still positive in another 2 weeks to go back.

They normally just say wait until after first period to try again, did they say why you should wait so long?

Dimblebimble · 29/11/2018 15:46

@Beaglemum93 hmm that seems a long time. How long does it have to be before they'll see you? I've been seen now, the pregnancy test they did came back negative. She did a few tests using a speculum to send off, but she couldn't see any evidence anything was wrong. So she said it's probably just my body getting back to normal. She also advised to have at least 2 periods before trying again, maybe more! Can't wait that long 😫

Beaglemum93 · 29/11/2018 14:57

@Dimblebimble it's been 5 and a half weeks since the D&C. I know it takes more time in some women but I just thought it would be negative by now seeing as it was so low 2 and a half weeks ago and I've had a period. Have you been seen yet or are you still waiting?

Dimblebimble · 29/11/2018 14:30

@Beaglemum93 how long has it been? My gp phoned the hospital and they said if it's still positive at 4 weeks post miscarriage you should test again at 5. They only agreed to see me because I've also been having cramping and had some bleeding.

Beaglemum93 · 29/11/2018 14:23

@Dimblebimble I know it's frustrating waiting around in the hospital but it's better to get checked out.

I had an appointment with my GP today because the hospital don't care that I'm still getting positive tests and he won't investigate it either. I feel so helpless and I'm so sick of waiting around for the negative that clearly isn't coming or an infection... I really don't know what to do now. Waiting around is driving me insane...

Dimblebimble · 29/11/2018 14:15

Went to GP to discuss craps, bleeding and positive pregnancy test, got referred to hospital, have been waiting now for almost 3 hours. Gonna give it 15 mins then leave. The longer I wait the more I feel silly for making a fuss over nothing 🙄 also starting to doubt whether the test is really positive. I'm meant to be working from home today, I'm already super behind at work after the miscarriage and the various appointments involved, and no one in work knows what happened so I have no excuse. So I'm getting more and more anxious and upset that I'be wasted the best part of my day here 😩

Gothqueen · 29/11/2018 13:29

Found out I'd miscarried on 27th Nov 18 at approx 5w so still going through the process.

Desperately want to conceive baby #3 (1st for my OH) after our recent loss. Googling lots to see what is out there than can help and in the meantime, I'm continuing folic acid and healthy diet that I had in place whilst pregnant. Wishing you all luck for your BFPs 😊

hayleyfx · 29/11/2018 13:15

@DayDreamer1707 thank you so much for reassuring me. It’s just nice to talk to people who understand about this. Have a referral to EPU and now have requested a private scan too hopefully for the start of next week. Feeling very scared! X

@MeghanV07 congrats! Definitely a line 😊 hope it gets nice and dark for you, fingers crossed x

ratherbeshowjumping · 29/11/2018 13:11

Ahh congrats @MeghanV07 that's a fab line!

Russkispy · 29/11/2018 11:58

@MeghanV07 I can also see the line! Congratulations!bFingers crossed for you.

DayDreamer1707 · 29/11/2018 11:43

@Dramaqueen14 I am also in my first TWW since my MC in October. This is my first cycle trying to conceive baby number 1. What CD are you on? I know that the MC can drag you down and literally makes you feel so empty. We just have to try our best and think of the positives. At least we CAN get pregnant x

Tiniestsky · 29/11/2018 11:30

@Dramaqueen14 I can relate, wish I had some answers for you but I think I'm learning there's no one set way to cope and deal with the shit we're going through. I mc 2 weeks ago and kinda feel ok about it... I think, but I'm sure it'll creep up on me and cause a melt down at some point.
Not sure what was worse though, the tww finding out if I was pregnant or the tww finding out whether I'd mc or not.
It all sucks!
Try to focus on positive thoughts though, I keep saying to myself "no matter how sad and heartbroken I feel right now, it'll never compare to the happiness and joy I WILL feel when I'm holding my baby for the first time"
