Thank you @lilimum5 glad the EPU resssured you and dare I say I hope that bfn comes soon so you can move on. Thinking of you, you’ve had such a tough, unfair journey. Try to do nice things and give yourself lots of love xxx

@fnej01 yes loose bottoms that you can pull up to your knees - leggings or joggers and loose top. If they need your stomach area you just roll your top up and the top of your leggings down no need to get undressed. Shoes and socks come off as often pins go in your ankles or feet to draw the energy flow across your entire body.

Once the pins are in you just relax and try to clear you mind, focus on breathing (yoga helps here) there will probably be music in the background. On a couple of sessions she lit a Chinese herb stick and sort of waved it over my uterus area, it felt really warm, then she covered me in a blanket to keep the warmth in.

You can feel quite relaxed afterwards so plan to just go home and chill if you can xx

@Yukka how lovely to hear your doing well. Hope your scan goes well

fnej01 · 01/12/2018 09:31

@Yukka good to hear it's not painful. I have my first session next Saturday and was feeling a bit apprehensive. Am hoping to balance my system back out, whilst I'm having a break TTC.

Can I ask an odd question - what did you wear? Just some loose comfy clothes?

Yukka · 01/12/2018 09:20

Hi @octobergirl91 no it’s not painful at all. They are tiny little pins, nothing like a needle, she taps them in and then sort of tweaks them until you can feel it and then stops as that’s the point it connects with your energy. There are different acupuncture points around your body so depending on what they think for you depends on where the pins go. Xx

OctoberGirl91 · 01/12/2018 09:13

That's interesting I have never considered acupuncture as I have a phobia of needles. my cycle since MC on 4th October seem to be 35-36 days and I was always 30 days max.

Is it painful @Yukka ?

I am going look into this xx

Yukka · 01/12/2018 09:01

Sorry two more things 1. She told me to stop running some of you may remember I was zipping out 5ks a few times a week in the summer as it helped me mentally. She said that I was physically making my body go faster when I needed it to slow down so the energetic flow could re balance.

  1. I’ve been pregnant 4 times in 14 months and have only got pregnant on cycles when I ovd on day 14. I don’t know if this means anything.

Congratulations @rdm10 and @meghan07 keeping everything crossed for you.

@serenaoverjoyed glad the scan went well, dating is really heard on early scans and the growth rate is so sporadic in the first 12 weeks there isn’t really a ‘normal’

@hayleyfx 🤞 for Monday. The early scans aren’t 3D sound so internal or external only pick what is immediately in front of it so you can get a different view. I’m really hoping it’s not blighted ovum xxx

Someone asked ages ago about acupuncture and my recommendation for it so I’ll try to explain! After mc in March my cycles weren’t getting back to normal (normal to gp at 31-33 days) but not normal to me usually 28days) and previously I’ve recovered quickly. I had one month I don’t think I ovd at all. So I decided to give it a go id heard it helps women conceive so thought it might help get me on track. She’s amazing she was a midwife for 25 yrs and retired into acupuncture. She explained how the body needs to work in sync and the spleen is the controller of blood flow (energy) and hormones (fertility). She felt that all my energy was being pushed to my brain as I was always thinking, researching, planning conception, analysing (sound familiar ladies?) etc and so the spleen was busy keeping my brain energised to cope with the extra work. That meant there was not enough focus on my hormones and thus my cycles weren’t quite right. The ying and yang means to be ‘in balance’ and I wasn’t. We talked in detail about my cycles and the fact that I wasn’t regularly having ewcm and that my periods are short and clotty (2 days) rather than ‘thin and flowy’. That’s when she started treatment and timed it with my cycle. When I was I day 14 first month I had no sign of any ewcm, so she treated me to get all the energy flowing to my uterus to ‘let go’ and 30 mins later at home I got a mass of ewcm. I couldn’t believe this ‘magic’. Then she treated me for good blood flow and my next period was thin and red and lasted 5 days. She told me to do yoga to clear my mind each week and maintain the right balance. Second month ecwm happened by itself on day 10, I ovd on day 14 ( bang on) ...and fell pregnant. I genuinely believe she got my cycles back to normal quicker than I could have on my own which is why I am now pregnant. I’m sticking with both, we will reduce to once a month after 12 weeks, current treatment is focused on keeping all energy in my abdomen to support these early weeks. She had so much advice too and interpretation of the female body to Chinese medicine is amazing and I just love her ❤️

I went into it completely open minded and was amazed, but it might not be right for everyone.

Sorry to see new joiners here, hope you are feeling ok xx

Day 3 of heparin injections for me, it’s going ok, it stings but I’ll get used to it. First scan Monday morning, be lovely to see a heartbeat. Feeling good otherwise, steady symptoms. I hate the cramps, you never know if they’re good or bad but seem to have calmed down now. 6w today xx

@Boboelephant hello hun hope you are well?
@SerenaOverjoyed wonderful news a beautiful heartbeat xx
@hayleyfx my fingers are crossed 🤞 for Monday
@MeghanV07 I'm not sure if I said congrats yet if not congratulations xx
@TinyPaws fingers crossed 🤞 for you how long before you know for sure?
@rdm10 congratulations hun x

I call the epu and they didn't seem worried so I feel happier now just waiting for the bfn to show its self then I can start trying again. I sound like a stuck record.

Baby dust to everyone and stick stuff to those with bfp recently xx

Russkispy · 30/11/2018 21:19

Found this one in my notes - HCG levels by week

TTC after pregnancy loss - thread 27 - BFPs are coming!
Tiniestsky · 30/11/2018 21:02

@MeghanV07 @fnej01 thank you for the reassurance, I don't know if it's because I mc 2 weeks ago to the day, the bleeding and symptoms only really lasted 3 days so they might expect it to come down faster because it was quick and I was only 6 weeks.... really just wanted this done with, I thought I'd go for my scan on Wednesday be told nothing was there and that'd be it, I could close that chapter, or at least work on it but now it's dragging out.
I don't know what'll happen if the blood test this Sunday stays the same 😓

OctoberGirl91 · 30/11/2018 20:41

@MeghanV07 Can I ask did you have this before BFP?

I have this today and also specks of blood with EWCM but I am CD20 and not sure when I ovulated. Someone said it could be implantation bleed but think it could be a bit early.

After my MC on 4th October not sure what symptoms means what anymore.

xx

fnej01 · 30/11/2018 20:39

@Tiniestsky My HCG didn't drop very evenly on my last miscarriage and I think at one point I went from 123 to 118 in 48 hours. They were quite concerned about this at the time, and scanned me, but all was fine. I miscarried naturally with no problems a few days later. I think within a week my hcg had dropped to 6.
The nurse told me that they like it to half, but for some people it doesn't happen that straightforwardly.
Sending you hugs. X

MeghanV07 · 30/11/2018 20:03

Thank you for the re-assurance ladies I read that pre-natal vits can turn wee & cm yellow so that could be it. But you know, once you've had a mc, you're a mc symptom spotter!

@hayleyfx praying Monday comes quickly for you ❤️

@Tiniestsky mine dropped from 827 (I was supposed to be 7 weeks but only measured 4) to 200 in 48 hours. Hopefully when you go back you can get a better answer ❤️

Tiniestsky · 30/11/2018 19:17

How long did it take for your hcg levels to come down after mc?
I've just got the results from my second blood test and in 48 hours it's gone from 106 tom103, it isn't a big enough drop so they want me to come back on Sunday for another cos they're worried it could be because product or something left behind.
Don't know if I should be worried, I don't have any symptoms or bleeding at all

SerenaOverjoyed · 30/11/2018 19:10

haleyfx I'm no midwife but I'm not so sure about your HCG. According to Dr Google HCG at 5 wks is 18-7340, and 6wks would be 1080-56500. I interpreted my result of 2670 last week as being a 5wk-er.. but then I have measured at 5wks 3d today so what do I know Hmm

I would say it's quite possible you've fudged your dates and it's a bit early. I understand that it's normal to see the sack at 5wks and it's very rare to see the heartbeat 6wks+? In any case you'll find out soon. I'm sorry you've got this strife again, you of all people deserve a lovely worry-free pregnancy.

TinyPaws oh gosh IVF tww! How many days in are you? I wish you all the luck in the world.

Boboelephant thank you. It's so early we're definitely be holding our breath for a long time to come. Last natural cycle sounds intriguing, I hope you get one of those sod's law conceptions after IVF is arranged Grin! A potentially lovely start to the New Year, I really hope it works for you. Is there any prep you have to do?

Justincase87 Christmas tree sounds ace. I know how you feel about the work pressure, but really, every workplace is set up to cope with sickness and no one thanks you for limping in! I wish I could take my own advice though! I'd definitely shaft all responsibilities until your re-scan, you've got a solid gold excuse Smile

MeghanV07 I wouldn't worry about cm. I think it's common to get loads of it.

hayleyfx · 30/11/2018 17:52

@Boboelephant thank you hun, trying to stay optimistic and clinging onto that tiny bit of hope. I’m hoping I’m a few days out 🤞 great to hear that you’re starting ivf in January, wishing you the best of luck with it. It’s nice to hear from you!

@Justincase87 thank you for the positivity 💕 I hadn’t considered that as a possibility but definitely something to consider. Pregnancy loss really does ruin subsequent pregnancies, it just makes them scary instead of exciting 😔

Got my blood results, hcg levels are 2555. They said that they’re normal for a 6 week pregnancy however my scan isn’t normal for 6 weeks. They said after your hcg hits 2000 you should see much more on a scan. Feeling pretty rubbish but what can I do 😒 thanks for all your support ladies. Will keep you updated x

ratherbeshowjumping · 30/11/2018 17:31

What great news on the scans today 👏🏼 so pleased for you all! Keeping my fingers crossed for sticky beans for both (in return, please send baby dust my way!)

@MeghanV07 i think it's quite normal to have EWCM after a BFP, I know I did 😘

TinyPaws · 30/11/2018 17:19

@Boboelephant Thanks for asking, I'm going crazy here in my 2ww following IVF, I have all the pregnancy symptoms but that could easily be the progesterone I'm on. Honestly I have no idea if pregnant or not. Hopefully I'll know in a few more days. Fingers crossed for your IVF cycle! If you have any questions about my IVF experience I'm more than happy to answer.

MeghanV07 · 30/11/2018 16:48

Sorry I've just realised I've missed people who have congratulated me, sorry, Thank you everyone xxx

MeghanV07 · 30/11/2018 16:45

@DayDreamer1707 @Russkispy @ratherbeshowjumping @hayleyfx thank you ladies. I'm just so so worried it's going to happen again. I had heavy EWCM today which looked yellow/brown so I'm just really panicking thinking this is it again 😔

Please keep us updated hayleyfx, I have it all crossed for you ❤️

Justincase87 · 30/11/2018 15:28

@serenaoverjoyed - a heartbeat is a good sign, the more I read, the more I think ovulation dates etc are bullshit. The number of women who have mismeasurements seems so much more than those whose are correct! Fingers crossed. I stupidly didn't take today off but only survived half a shift, thankfully work people are super supportive so have come home to DH who is letting me put the Christmas tree up.

@hayleyfx - I think they take different measurements internally/externally based on how accurate the images are - an internal scan would be more accurate at this stage I would have thought. It's odd that they could see more abdominally though, although that's hopefully a positive sign, maybe you have tilted womb? I was told during this pregnancy that mine was retroverted which wasn't mentioned last time. Sending you lots of positive thoughts, and yep, definitely understand the feeling okay, part of me feels hopeful that if things aren't ok this time round, at least my body will deal with it before 12 weeks this time. I feel like loss sucks all the joy out of pregnancy when it should be a happy time.

Boboelephant · 30/11/2018 14:56

@hayleyfx I'm so sorry it wasn't a reassuring scan. I have everything crossed for you and that your baby is fine. I read something that said that there is really no way to be sure exactly when we ovulate even with opks and bbt. Apparently they did a study and the majority actually got a temp rise up to two days before or after when the egg was released. So hopefully you are just a few days out and Sunday will bring good news!

Boboelephant · 30/11/2018 14:48

@SerenaOverjoyed how exciting! Congratulations on your pregnancy and seeing a heartbeat. Try not to worry, you've gotten further than before and that heart is beating. Babies measure so differently in the first trimester which unless you are getting early scans you wouldn't know. There are so many variables around exactly when your body ovulates too, even with tracking and charting.
I'm ok thanks. Fed up really but that's pretty standard. Approaching fw which will be last natural cycle and then doing IVF in Jan. Only so long we can wait after being told everything is fine and there's no reason for not falling! Hopefully it's the answer. 🤞

hayleyfx · 30/11/2018 14:42

Well had my scan. They saw gestational sac which measures 4mm, she said she saw a yolk sac and possibly tiny embryo in abdominal scan but she rescanned me internally and could no longer see yolk sac. They’re worried that it may be a blighted ovum but they’re eager to rule out ectopic so have had bloods done.
Have to go back on Sunday for more and then will take it from there. Tbh, not looking good. Abdominally, the sac measured 6 weeks. Internally, it measure 5 weeks which has confused me? My dates definitely aren’t wrong, they keep saying to not worry because dates can always be a few days out but I know exactly when I ovulated 😕 I’m feeling surprisingly okay, pretty fed up and worried about the future but I totally expected this so I didn’t get disappointed, it was fully expected, I’m sure you all understand. Getting initial hcg levels told to me today so hopefully in the next hour or two.

@SerenaOverjoyed congrats lovely, a heartbeat is the best sign that all is okay xx
