@Mistymeow sounds like you might have had success to me!! All the signs are there. Keep testing and keep us posted. Fingers crossed

Holly5633 · 05/12/2018 10:45

@Russkipsy Good luck!! It does only take one :)

@Granolacrayons Try not to worry - easier said than done, I know. I am sure what looks scary to you is really nothing to worry about. They are probably just wanting to be thorough to make sure they tick boxes while helping you on your journey. Keep us updated.

I need serious help! I am testing like a mad woman. I know better than to test at 8DPO. Plus we weren't even meant to be trying this month. I need a word with myself. After the last miscarriage I said I wouldn't test at all next time until 6 weeks (if I haven't bled by then) and here I am like a crazy woman testing at 8DPO. No self control!

Mistymeow · 05/12/2018 10:26

Hi everyone, sorry I haven't been around. I'm sad to see so many new joiners to the thread and that a few of you have had bad news recently. Sending you all so much love.

TTC #1 for 2 years
MMC April 2018, ERPC
DH has a condition which means he doesn't always produce hormones, currently being treated with HCG.
Referred for IVF, first appointment imminent!

Ladies I'm so confused and it's stressing me out! Last month I had an odd period (one day, no fresh blood). Went to the doctor's and he thinks my hormones are still settling but as I've had the hormone blood tests prior to the miscarriage and they came back normal he thinks it's unlikely there has been a change. Not pregnant (got a bfn) so put it down to a one off. This month decided to stop tracking my temp apart from around when I think I ovulated (got a big temp spike for 3 days). At around 6dpo I had a small bleed for half a day (old blood, sorry tmi). It stopped then started again 8dpo but was very light. Now I have very light brown cm at 10 dpo. I took an IC and there is a faint thin line but I think it's an evap. I've been having waves of af cramps all week. I've never spotted before af and it's making me feel like there is something wrong with me :(

Beaglemum93 · 05/12/2018 10:16

@MeghanV07 I had an NHS scan at 5+5 and was able to see a heartbeat. I would probably book an early scan again at about 6 weeks because it was reassuring to know everything was in the right location and viable. I hope it goes well for you.

Fingers crossed for you @Russkispy! It only takes one!

OctoberGirl91 · 05/12/2018 10:10

I had a private scan with my DD at 6 weeks in 2016 and they could see fetal pole and heartbeat xx

OctoberGirl91 · 05/12/2018 10:07

Definitely @MeghanV07 I could have sworn I ovulate last Friday as I had some bloody EWCM but obviously not! I've only got one OPK left and I've ran out CB so I'll do another this afternoon!

I'm not sure tbh I got caught first cycle after having coil taken out then MC and my first AF was 35 days after ERPC so this is obviously going be nearly 41 days and I've never had cycles this long ever! I've gained a little weight over last few months so going get back to gym I think see if that helps xx

MeghanV07 · 05/12/2018 09:51

@OctoberGirl91 I find opk's a total head f*ck sometimes. You can ovulate anytime from 12-36 hours after you get your positive ppl & they say that you don't need to test again after you've got a positive one just baby dance for the next 3 days and that should cover you. How long are your cycles normally?

How are you today @Laney79?

@smerlin that's awful! Hope you can have some time off work to recover ❤️ sending some love.

Has anyone had a private scan at 6 weeks? I will be 5 weeks tomorrow so contemplating a scan at 6 weeks. I am terrified of having another miscarriage 😔 xxx

OctoberGirl91 · 05/12/2018 09:50

Fx for you @Russkispy xx

Russkispy · 05/12/2018 09:43

Finished my stims and trigger, 5 eggs out of 7 follicles. But only 1 got fertilised. Gutted and deflated but still hoping this is THE one! Embryo transfer on Saturday.

OctoberGirl91 · 05/12/2018 09:34

I’m going retest after lunch as surely it can’t last any longer than 24 hours a surge. Although I know you can ovulate within 36 of getting a surge, I wish I had stuck to CB as that solid face stays there for 48 hours so never questioned it!

Done a cheap pregnancy stick and it’s negative so can’t be pregnant. If ovulation is today or tomorrow that means a 40/41 day cycle I’ve never been that long it’s been 4 weeks since my first AF after MC on Friday x

KnitKitty · 05/12/2018 09:32

@granolacrayons I've just seen your message too. Sorry about your losses. Welcome. If the doctor says it's ok to try again I would accept that. On the other hand if you feel you want to give yourself some more time to recover and get results from the biopsy I think that would be fine too. Do what feels right in your gut. Hugs xxx

KnitKitty · 05/12/2018 09:30

@Dimblebimble Pregnancy announcements seem to be the one thing that doesn't get easier for me. It's especially difficult when you know the couple haven't struggled. It's hard to be happy for them. Hugs xxx

@Boboelephant Good to hear. I was a bit worried in case progesterone being low was affecting successful implantation since I've spotted from day one with my last 3 pregnancies. But I trust the professionals. Sorry about all the baby news in your life. As I said to Dimble, it's the one thing I find doesn't get easier to deal with over time. I felt bad about having 'ugly' emotions about other people's happiness for a while, but I've realised I'm just being hard on myself, of course feeling this way is a normal human reaction. Hugs xxx

@SerenaOverjoyed Aww, I had a little chuckle at your description of your anxiety... I get like that too sometimes; fixating on something (for me it's usually electrics or gas or worrying I've forgotten something or done something wrong at work). No tips for the holiday I'm afraid. Hope you find a good deal somewhere nice. xxx

@TinselBee How are you chicken? Has the bleeding got any worse?

@DayDreamer1707 Sorry you're feeling all over the place. Sometimes you just have to let mother nature do her thing and just go along with it. The old time-will-tell motto is probably all you can focus on right now. I suggest trying to find some distractions to keep you busy. It's sooo frustrating all this TTC stuff, isn't it? But sometimes just thinking about something else is the best you can do. Hope you feel calmer soon. xxx

@OctoberGirl91 It can take your body a bit of time to get back to normal after ERPC or pregnancy loss. Hope everything becomes clearer soon. xx

@fnej01 Thanks hun. I'm coming towards the end of my first cycle NOT TTC and I think PMS might be playing a part with the emotions. Seeing them as milestones is a good idea.
I'm fluctuating wildly between feeling utter despair that I will never be pregnant successfully and feeling optimistic about adopting instead. I can't cope with thinking of the possibility of a successful pregnancy though, in case I get bad news I don't want to have let myself get my hopes up. And knowing that my condition can cause problems later on in pregnancy I'm really wondering whether I should be pushing for this at all. Am I just being silly wanting to have a pregnancy which might be bad for the baby and me and how would I cope with the anxiety the whole way through the 9 months? Just a lot whizzing through my head right now.
You made me laugh with 'fanny scan'! Grin I'm really glad everything looks normal on that. One milestone over!

@ratherbeshowjumping your first cycle after loss may not be a completely typical one. On the other hand, some people go straight back to normal, so it's hard to say. I think EWCM is a good sign. You can only try and hope for now. Good luck. And sorry for your loss. xx

@strawberrye I'm glad they're looking into if the referral has been done correctly. Fingers crossed this will mean you get seen sooner.

@Laney79 Thanks hun. Yes, the waiting is hard. I keep reminding myself that regardless of waiting for tests I need this time for my body to recover properly and will try to focus on Christmas for the time being. It's also my birthday on Monday so that should be a good distraction. Good luck for the weekend. Try to remember that your body doesn't know when you're birthday is. A lot of women stay fertile well into their 40s and you know you are fertile because you have been pregnant twice recently. I really hope you're producing a good strong little egg this month. Even if you don't ovulate until next week DTD at the weekend will still give you a good chance. xxx

@Lilimum5 I'm not surprised you're anaemic after all the blood loss. I'm glad you're getting the iron though. Hopefully it's the start to your body getting back into better shape. Once your body is feeling better it will help you emotionally too. Massive hugs. Sometimes it just feels like one thing after another, doesn't it? I hope you leave all of this behind in 2018 and next year you see better times. xxx

@smerlin Welcome, and so sorry for your loss. Did EPU give you a sicknote? Could you get one from your GP? I hope you told your manager to go stuff themselves! Stay strong. xxx

@Wearytree Sorry, I haven't had mine done yet, but getting my levels checked too.

granolacrayons · 05/12/2018 09:24

Hey, can I join?

I am about start TTC after my last miscarriage

I'm 34, no children, 2 MMC this year, one in Feb and the last one in Nov

I am being seen by a consultant at the Spire Hospital for some fibroids, I had a hysteroscopy two weeks ago, and he didn't think they were causing the miscarriages. But he did find a patch inside my uterus which was a concern. It looks like a yellow ulcer to me. I am waiting for the biopsy results and I am very nervous about this. Has anyone been through anything similar? He did say that we can start trying again, so hopefully, I shouldn't be too worried??

DayDreamer1707 · 05/12/2018 09:23

@Laney79 I'm not even sure if that's true I've read that much stuff about it all. It is only my first proper cycle since my MC so I will wait for AF and go from there.

@OctoberGirl91 that is definitely another positive. My first one lasts about a day and a half ish, then faded. Where as the second (if it was one) only lasted about a day if that and then was completely gone x

OctoberGirl91 · 05/12/2018 07:46

Really confused ladies I've got a second blazing positive with morning with FMU on an OPK and it's nearly been 24 hours since my first I'm on CD26

Can a LH surge last this long? Wondering if something's wrong with my body now. 😥

Bottom one is today and top one yesterday at 8:30am

X

TTC after pregnancy loss - thread 27 - BFPs are coming!
Laney79 · 05/12/2018 07:04

@DayDreamer1707 our bodies are just so all over the place after Mc. I'd never heard of the fading before -useful to know (as I often start doing something else then remember an hour later!)

CD13 and still no high fertility showing on my new clearblue gadget...before losing my second I was getting positive opks anytime from now to CD16 so would've hoped to see high fertility by now. Gah. Just one more thing to obsess about. Should've stuck to the IC's!

DayDreamer1707 · 05/12/2018 06:53

@Yukka I’m not pregnant as the OPKs went back to negative 😔. Il just have to wait for AF and start a fresh next cycle. Hopefully once my cycles may have sorted themselves out I can then get the clear blue test x

Wearytree · 05/12/2018 06:42

Thank you so much for directing me here @strawberrye xx
37, DH 32
ttc cd 11 of cycle 6.
Mc at 5 weeks cycle 2.

Like I mentioned on the full thread, I had bloods done for LH and FSH and the FSH has come out at 9.1, which the doctor says is a little high and they want to do them again. Progesterone on day 20...

Has anyone had any experience of these blood tests?

Yukka · 04/12/2018 21:22

@daydreamer1707 and @octobergirl91 deff the ov timing after mc or MWC is quite unpredictable. Whilst more expensive I found the clear blue opks the best because they track estrogen surge aswell so a false positive due to remaining or new hcg is much easier to spot. You can get them cheaper on amazon than at boots. If you take a pregnancy test at least you know you can rule it out (or in!) and focus on letting your body do its thing xx

@smerlin sorry for your loss, it sucks xx manager sounds a bit insensitive to set the least? Hope it goes ok.

@fnej01 good news on the scan. One thing ticked off your list :)

DayDreamer1707 · 04/12/2018 17:56

@OctoberGirl91 @Laney79 can you see what I mean by the recent positive don’t look positive anymore? I’m sure I read somewhere that a positive never fades but I could be wrong. Just my positive OPKs further in on my cycle haven’t faded...

@smerlin welcome and so sorry about your loss, this group of wonderful ladies are hugely supportive.

TTC after pregnancy loss - thread 27 - BFPs are coming!
smerlin · 04/12/2018 16:53

Can I join the thread please?

Confirmed miscarriage today at EPU at 5-6 weeks. TTC #2 - fortunate enough to have 5yr old DD already.

Looking to conceive again as soon as possible to help get over this.

Work has not been v supportive. Had a message from my manager, who I had informed, requesting a work meeting tomorrow abt something vital that has come up at work. DH's work have given him the rest of the week off!

DayDreamer1707 · 04/12/2018 15:42

@OctoberGirl91 that's what I mean my first lot of positive OPKs have never faded but the recent ones have. I can send you a picture later. That's why I'm wondering if they were positive. I want AF now because I just think I'm out this month now. Definitely get DTD x

@fnej01 fanny scan....😂😂😂 Our bodies are so frustrating, you'd think it would be one thing we could have some form of control over!

@Lilimum5 and still no referral? I get told I look anemic all the time because I'm pale...brilliant. Hopefully these can start making you feel better x

fnej01 · 04/12/2018 15:20

Hi so fanny scan appointment done, and sonographer said everything looked normal. So that's one test out of the way.
@KnitKitty I've just dug the letter out and it's only FSH, LH and Oestradiol that he wants done between days 2-6 of the cycle.

Interesting the chat around opk. This month is my first cycle post two back to back MC. I had the strongest OPK I've ever seen and it lasted 2 days, which is much longer than normal. We aren't TTC at the moment, I was only monitoring on IC just to see if my cycle was returning to normal (in part so I could predict blood test appointments). Interesting how much our bodies vary.

OctoberGirl91 · 04/12/2018 14:52

I've done another OPK and it's definitely still positive so going DTD tonight and tomorrow night.

My positive ha stayed positive from this morning and not faded @DayDreamer1707.

I keep thinking I wish AF would come just to hit reset, on Friday it's been 4 weeks since my last AF xx

Lilimum5 · 04/12/2018 14:43

Hello ladies just got a call back from doctor I saw yesterday. To tell me that I'm also anaemic and now have to take iron tablets 4 a day yay the joys
