@justintime87 great news lovely x
@fnej01 glad to hear your feeling better and more relaxed
@OctoberGirl91 good luck for tww fingers crossed 🤞 x
@MeghanV07 how are you hun?

Laney79 · 09/12/2018 13:18

@Yukka basically the consultant said that my lupus and anticariolipid tests were negative, and those were the disorders he could treat. As if only had two mc's he wouldn't get a full thrombophilia screen or genetic testing past the lab as I don't hit the criteria. He's said to take aspirin if I get a BFP as there's no evidence it'll harm, and it may help if I do have a low level clotting issue that they haven't yet discovered. No suggestions of anything else I can do/take. Just go away, get pregnant, hope you don't mc but if you do then they'll do the rest of the tests. To be honest I wish I'd pushed for referal to prof Quenby at Coventry as I know she would accept me but my gp said to go this local route first. I don't feel very hopeful if I'm honest. Feels like waiting to conceive so I can miscarry again and finally get answers, horrid thought.

And to add to the current misery, cd17, low fertility and now bleeding lightly, like the start of AF. Had some brown Cm yesterday and despite knowing I've had no positive opks part of still was hopeful I'd had a super short surge and it was implantation, but it appears not. My body is truly screwed up. Really sick and tired of it now. Going to try and see the gp and talk about private testing -thinking hormone panel so I can find out what the hell I'd going on as well as thyroid antibodies and vitamin b12/d levels.

I'm really pleased things are going ok with you-your boss sounds great! And congrats auntie! Xx

Lambaman81 · 09/12/2018 10:54

@TinselBee - so pleased to hear the surgery went well. I hope you are doing okay. I had ERPC on 9/11, stopped bleeding on to a sanitary pad on 11/11, blood when wiping up until 14/11. I then had evidence of brown (old) blood until 23/11 on the odd occasion. Hope that wasn't TMI! HmmAs I was 12 weeks in to the pregnancy, I promised myself not to take a HPT until 3 weeks after the operation, as I knew it could take sometime for the levels to drop...but I got a BFN on the 1/12. It was a very bold negative! If you have any pains I found a hot water bottle helped loads. Make sure you drink plenty of fluid x

DayDreamer1707 · 09/12/2018 09:26

@MeghanV07 thank AF would technically be due tomorrow going if my positive OPKs but il wait longer as I don't know after the MC.

@TinselBee yes you can't allow yourself to get excited which is sad really. Even my OH has said he thinks I'm pregnant because I'm so ill but I've told him not to over think things. Just got to hold out now and just hope. I didn't have any surgery but sounds like things are going good for you after yours x

@Yukka that must be such a big relief that your boss is being so supportive!! Least that can make things easier for you. Congrats on becoming an auntie too 😘

Yukka · 09/12/2018 08:52

Morning all sorry I’ve not been on since Monday it’s been a busy week.

@knitkitty really glad the acupuncture seems to have helped your cycles and @fnej01 it’s so enlightening when they pick up exactly how you are doing and it’s trye. Hope you benefit from it as much as I did.

@russkispy fingers crossed for the next two weeks he finds s nice little spot to snuggle n.

@justintime87 great news on the scan I can also recommend yoga it’s helping me stay calm.

@boboelephant gosh that seems to have come round quick now?! How are you feeling?

@laney79 sorry ov hasn’t occurred yet. Can you remind me where you are at with testing as didn’t you have x3 mcs at 6wks? Did you start the aspirin? Most say to start once pregnant but I think this is too late especially if you have a problem that requires your blood to be thinner, then this needs to occur as the uterus lining is developing not afterwards. I think starting the aspirin in advance is what helped my implantation this time.

@meghan07 thinking if you, try your very best to relax xx

@hayleyfx glad you’re feeling better lovely xx

Today marks 7 weeks for me. This week has been exhausting, insomnia at night, feel sick, no appetite during the day, and long days at work. So I bit the bullet and told my boss on Wednesday as I was supposed to be flying to India with him in January and can’t go due to high risk. He was so nice, gave me his full support. I told him the background (I didn’t work for him when I lost the others) and explained if it goes wrong I will be taking time off to recover, but again he said to put myself first, reduce my hours and focus on getting to the 12 week mark. He also said he and his wife put kids on hold for his career, and when they decided to try it was too late and nothing worked, he’s regretted it ever since. I run an IT of 140 staff so I was a little worried about how he would take it but he was just brilliant. Also I’ve never known someone of ‘my level’ go on mat leave, with all the current talk if gender equality I think this will work more in my favour when I get to that point 😬.Felt relieved. When I got back from London on Friday, I scoffed a whole pizza and have slept the last two nights, I think I was actually a little stressed out. Onwards and hopefully upwards with this one.

Oh some of you may recall my sis and I were pregnant at the same time on my last mc and we were both due this week, well she had a healthy girl on Friday morning. Very Relieved everything went well for her.

DayDreamer1707 So hard not to read into things like that isn't it? I've found that I get that if I do just get carried away a bit too much, think it is pretty common.

Pretty interesting fnej01 and something I'll certainly consider. I visited a Chinese medicine woman when pregnant with DS and she was so spot on with everything, even to the point where she told me to rest as my waters are looking to break pre term (which they did) and that I was gonna give birth in next couple of days (which I did)

Ladies, when did you find you ovulated after surgery and how long did bleeding last for you all? Had the ERPC surgery Friday and after heavy bleeding Friday I only had spotting yesterday and today there doesn't seem to be anything yet.

MeghanV07 · 09/12/2018 07:34

@DayDreamer1707 much much easier said than done. Im hoping it's all good signs for you ❤️

DayDreamer1707 · 08/12/2018 17:02

@MeghanV07 we wasn't doing anything special haha but least I know it's nothing to worry about. I had it last time too, then found out I was pregnant 6 days after AF was due. I just don't want to read into things. I'm also feeling pretty ill which I don't know if that happened last time too. Just have to wait and see and try not to overthink things...easier said than done x

MeghanV07 · 08/12/2018 16:50

Ps @DayDreamer1707 I had it in my last pregnancy before this one but didn't know I was pregnant. 👀

MeghanV07 · 08/12/2018 16:50

@DayDreamer1707 I've had this after sex. Especially after some certain positions and if you get carried away 🙄😂

DayDreamer1707 · 08/12/2018 16:27

@Russkispy FX ad love how positive you are being!! Wishing you all the luck in the world for your test x

I have a question which, I'm sorry will be TMI. Me and my OH DTD last night, not trying to get pregnant at that point because I was on CD24 and we we just fancied getting a bit naughty 🙊. Well after I went to the loo and wiped and there was a little bit of pinkness mixed in with the other stuff (sorry I know ewww) do you think it was just because of the sex or could I be about to have AF....there's nothing there now x

fnej01 · 08/12/2018 13:45

@Russkispy fingers crossed for you x

Well I've just had my first acupuncture session really interesting. Lots of things bang on the money. She basically said that I am amazingly balanced and really good shape considering 3 miscarriages since June, this concurs with what the healer and the reflexologist have already told me.
She thinks that the second two miscarriages were likely to be caused by the fact my body and blood hadn't recovered since the first loss, and that I just wasn't ready to cope with a new pregnancy. She said that Chinese medicine says 3 months before trying again. She also said next pregnancy I need to rest because I have great strength and resilience and I don't know when to stop, hideously true I have not had any time off for last two miscarriages (didn't tell her this). She was also very good checking I had been referred and getting appropriate investigations after 3 losses.
I feel super chilled now and booked in to see her again in about 2 weeks. Definitely recommend it as an option, for others looking for holistic treatment.

OctoberGirl91 · 08/12/2018 13:02

Fx for you @Russkispy

I'm in my TWW and trying keep myself busy! Hope you get your BFP xx

Russkispy · 08/12/2018 11:49

Got my last update earlier this morning and my little trooper was still developing and progressing nicely. And now my little trooper is on board the mama train! Got very emotional watching it happening and even got a little snap of my tiny bean. Been given loads of things to take and test day in 10 days.

hayleyfx · 08/12/2018 01:03

@Justincase87 lovely news! Delighted for you x

@TinyPaws such a scary time, I totally understand. I’m hoping for the best outcome for you. Fingers crossed 🤞

@KnitKitty great to hear you’re feeling more positive now and some good news. Hopefully your results don’t take too long!

Sorry I’ve not been on, just taken a few days away to relax and clear my mind of everything. Feeling so much better now. Definitely not TTC for at least a few months now and I’m feeling surprisingly positive about it 🤔 I’m around CD7 I think and just feeling so relaxed knowing I’m not worrying about timing dtd, using opks, stressing about getting pregnant. For the first time in a year I’m just concentrating on other things and genuinely not thinking about TTC. So next step is recurrent miscarriage testing and I’m feeling okay about that, nervous, but it’s a step in the right direction.

Sorry I’ve missed loads of posts - I’m half asleep posting this 😂 I’ll have a read through them tomorrow but hope everyone is doing okay. Sending hugs to anyone who needs it ❤️

Laney79 · 07/12/2018 20:10

Thanks for the replies ladies.

@KnitKitty yeah-I'm in a similar position with my OH. I only really got the new CB connected as it was cheaper than the others but thought the extra warning of high fertility would be useful. Instead I'm just getting progressively more upset and worried. I'm cd15 now and it's still showing low fertility. So if I have several high fertility days before peak I'm looking at at least at 32 day cycle as things stand, when my normal has been 26 days. I really thought our weekend away would be good timing as we dtd Monday and Tuesday and I should on the basis of my normal cycle have ov'd yesterday...but instead here I am. My OH isn't doing well since we came home so the chances of more BD-ing is low, especially as I'm away tomorrow night and Monday night. I'm so worried I won't ovulate or I'll end up in early menopause. Really feels like fate is against us having a baby. it's just not fair.
Hope you have a lovely birthday on Monday hon x

Thanks @granolacrayons I'll have a nose. Have no idea if my level is low or not but I just think if there are things I can do that won't hurt then why not

Thanks @MeghanV07 - most stuff seems to suggest coq10 doesn't mess with cycles so it's prob just my body being cruel again.

@Boboelephant been checked for anaemia which came back ok, thyroid too-my tsh was 1.39, and 1.8 back in May which they say is fine. I'm tempted to have a private test to check thyroid antibodies, as well as vitamin D, B12 and folate levels. I just need to rule more things out to at least feel like I have some control.

@TinyPaws hugs xxx

@Russkispy fingers crossed for you.

@Justincase87 pleased for you-hope all continues to progress well xxx

Wearytree · 07/12/2018 20:06

@Justincase87 have you tried pregnancy yoga? I've never been into yoga before but I just did a conception one on YouTube and found it very calming.

Wearytree · 07/12/2018 20:05

Ah really @Boboelephant ? I didn't know that, so that's reassuring.

I've got a really weird heavy feeling in my lady bits now Confused still obsessing.

Need DH to hurry up and get back from work so we can get another DTD in quick!

Justincase87 · 07/12/2018 15:21

Hi all

I had my follow up scan today and there was a little 7+4 baby with a heartbeat, the dates are perfect based on my cycle length/luteal phase - I'm still petrified but trying to stay positive, my last pregnancy ended at 8+4, but my dates were completely out from the start - I'm trying to focus on my booking appointment now on 27th of December.

I'm struggling to keep up with everyone's stories but sending Flowers to everyone.

Russkispy · 07/12/2018 13:16

Thank you lovely ladies! Got another picture of it and it's divided in 8.3. Tomorrow will have another update in the morning and ET is lunch time! Acupuncture is booked on Monday and reflexology on Wednesday bloody needed it!

Mistymeow · 07/12/2018 11:49

@KnitKitty thanks, I got my hopes up a little I must admit! But more anxious that something was very wrong. Have calmed down now. Glad to hear the acupuncture is helping! Happy birthday for Monday :)
@Tinypaws sorry this is such an anxious time. I hope you get a positive answer, I really do. So many things can affect the line of a pregnancy test, dye levels etc.
@DayDreamer1707 thank you! I hope you get your BFP soon x
@Meghan07 to echo the others, put the thermometer away! Fluctuating hormones during pregnancy can cause your bbt to drop, which is why the advice is to stop temping once you get a bfp. It will not help your anxiety. Keep to the gp's advice. Sending you hugs x
@boboelephant wow that's happening all so quickly! We may decide to go private if the wait is long. My dh's parents want to pay for it. My father in law is in remission for cancer and it will return one day- he wants a grandchild and dh is an only child. Also I think a part of them feels responsible, because dh's condition is genetic. So kind of them but hoping we can have one cycle on the nhs.

Am thinking perhaps the bleed I had 6 days was af, and actually I am cd6. We'll see if af turns up at the weekend. I'm also wondering if this new conception vitamin has messed me up, as it contains vitamin b12 which I have never taken before. I'll go back to vit d and folic just in case. Stooopid hormones.

Tiniestsky · 07/12/2018 11:01

Has anyone here had a methotrexate injection after a pregnancy in an unknown location? I'm on day 5 after it and the sickness and mostly passed but I've got a bloated and painful stomach, not particularly low down, it kinda feels like trapped wind. Anyone else have anything like that?

Boboelephant · 07/12/2018 10:55

@Russkispy wonderful news. Go little embie go!!!!
@Laney79 my understanding is that if you take more vit d than you need, your body expels the excess. I take a TTC vitamin and vitamin D spray as well. Perhaps worth getting iron levels and thyroid checked? I was tired all the time and I had an underactive thyroid. Or perhaps you could be anaemic? The delayed ovulation is frustrating but I imagine it's probably due to it being first cycle. I take coq10 on advice of fertility doc but it hasn't affected mine.
@Mistymeow good to hear things are progressing. Mine is a bit different as I'm not eligible for NHS so went private. We've had our meetings and now are just waiting for December AF to start. Due to our holidays and clinic being closed over Christmas I'll start taking drugs in Jan and EC, transfer etc should be early Feb. I think the Superdrug ones are ok. I've also used the Morrisons ones which are good. £3.50 for 2 so not too bad. Just saw that it was bfn on frer. Sorry love. Hopefully Tuesday will get things cracking on!
@Wearytree I've had every pain and twinge under the sun. Try not to worry. We become a bit hyper sensitive after loss and notice everything. I've read that ovulation pain can happen up to two days before you actually release the egg.
@TinyPaws so sorry to hear you're so worried. Tentative congratulations for the bfp!! Perhaps you are testing too early? If you tested 4 days ago, perhaps the trigger shot was still producing higher levels of hcg? If you aren't bleeding it's probably not a chemical and likewise ectopics still produce hcg and keep growing until they can't anymore. I had super dark tests with my ectopic. Ahh just seen your update. A line is still a line and I have everything crossed for you for Monday.
@Meghan07 try and stop temping if you can. Apart from confirming ovulation there are too many variables and you don't want to stress about every rise and fall.
@KnitKitty happy birthday for Monday lovely! Glad to hear that your cycle was so regular. I was having acupuncture for about 4 months earlier in the year. Then I stopped as I got fed up that nothing was working but have been going to a different lady who does acupuncture and shiatsu at the same time for the past month. My fertility doc recommended I do it again alongside IVF.

DayDreamer1707 · 07/12/2018 10:07

@KnitKitty I have days where I'm ok, just want to be pregnant again like all of us I suppose.

I had my MMC on the 15th October and first AF was on the 14th November so currently on CD24 and I think 11DPO. Not sure when I will have a visit from AF but I thought it would of been any day now as I had the symptoms I would normally get on Mon/Tues, emotional, bad skin on my chest and slight cramps. But now nothing apart from the odd cramp. I think my body is still very confused.

So glad to hear you have had some positive news, least you can enjoy your birthday. I hope your results come back with further help for you and then you will have an even better chance for your BFP. FX you hear back about having your scan soon too x

KnitKitty · 07/12/2018 10:05

@MeghanV07 Oh lovely, please stop doing home tests; temping or POAS. It'll only add to your anxieties right now, and since pregnancy after MC is an anxious time it's best if you steer away from anything that might make it worse. I know it's hard because you have a feeling of not having any control over the situation you're in and you're seeking reassurance wherever you can; but testing at home is probably not a good way to find reassurance right now... There are too many factors which could affect the results so they're not reliable.
A few threads ago a lot of people were discussing meditation apps; have you tried any? Meditation is a good way to help you stay calm and helps with the patience needed to get through these first few weeks. I'd suggest focusing your attention on other things to pass the time as well. Find a project to do in your spare time. And if you want to; keep a journal so you can let any anxieties out of your head before bed or when you wake up.
