TTC after pregnancy loss - thread 27 - BFPs are coming!

Thanks @yukka I told him in the end but he said he's not using the points you have to worry about anyway. I still felt paranoid about being poked and pushed, even though I know he wouldn't do it if it would hurt the bean. Also horrible when you tell people and they say congratulations! You must be so happy! But in your head you've not had any happiness and excitement yet as you assume it's just temporary again

Between 5 & 6 weeks I think, I bled for three days but not heavily, lighter than my period.

@Yukka I had a heavy bleed on 17th, scanned the following day and they confirmed that there was no retained material on the ultrasound... I'd just assumed I'd miscarried on 17th but it seems quite quick to then have a negative PG test the following day now I think about it?

Thanks for the well wishes. I'm now home from the erpc and it seems to have gone well. I'm sore and achy but I expected that. I now have to wait for results from the lab and a referral to rmc. But I think I'm rather disappointed in epas as both my ward doctor and nurse are both heavily pregnant (you know just to rub it in). Do you think I should complain given what I was being treated for. I know it's not the ladies fault what I'm going through but I think it really insensitive of them.

I'm going to count today as cd1 and commit myself to the crazy ttc train once more as I asked about ttc and they said when ever you feel ready just wait for the bleeding to stop. I wondered if it would be best to wait for rmc but the nurse didn't seem to think so.

Thanks @strawberrye. Technically he should, but he did mention to me about my FIL's piles (which until then I was blissfully unaware of). But I guess I don't have much of a choice, he's unlikely to see my FIL any time soon anyway.

@Dimblebimble I can understand your concerns but I would tell your physio as it may affect the treatments he gives you, and also he should respect your confidentiality.

I'm going to the physio tonight as I was involved in a minor bump after Xmas. He normally does acupuncture on my lower and upper back and occasionally a bit of alignment (pulling my hips about, pushing down on my ribs). Should I tell him I'm pregnant? I've read it can impact how they perform the treatment.

The physio is quite effective but is also quite casual and informal and knows my in laws (not closely) so I can't trust him to be discreet.

On the other hand, both times I've conceived it's been directly after his treatments, so I wonder whether they have a positive effect on my fertility (hence I'm still keen to go to my appointments).

What would you do?

Thank you ladies. GP took bloods this morning and said he would call with the result tomorrow PM so the wait continues.

They said I could have been earlier along and not big enough to show on scan if I implanted late. But that doesn't explain the negative after the scan?

I'm just in limbo I feel so shit. And if by some miracle I am still pregnant, I went on a complete gin bender after my MC. Fuck fuck fucking hell. 2019 is not being kind so far!

I had a negative pg test 16 days after delivering a baby at 16 weeks, but i had 3cm of retained tissue. So it is possible to have a negtive test but still have something left over. I had an internal scan to confirm, then a d and c x

Any luck with the gp/epau @frillyfarmer ?

Only thing I can think is that they missed something on your scan? Or that it was twins (maybe double ovulation that month and a late implanter?) But as you say I wouldn't want to get hopes up either. Very very odd. Let us know how you get on.

@Clumsykitten hope you don't have a battle as you fear. As for bmi, 28 isn't too high is it? I thought 25 was normal weight so you wouldn't be far over. As you say be prepared to battle a bit though in case you need to. How old are you? X

I've just had a miscarriage and they told me i could test positive for a while after but to do a test at 2 weeks and if positive it could mean still some tissue left which they'd need to remove (I think through tablets) to prevent infections ... I would call the early pregancy unit and they'll probably.see you xx

Well, second test was CB came up instantly. I'm completely drawing a blank - MC scanned and confirmed on 18th followed by two negative tests - it's impossible to ovulate, conceive and test positive in less than two weeks so what the fuck has happened? Suppose I won't know until I see GP but I'm absolutely not investing hope in anything right now, it can't be positive can it?!

@Chilliandlime we sound very similar, it's totally doing my head in n DH n I just want to ttc again! I think I have had signs of ovulation but I'm not very good at working it out 🙈. I rely on my flo app to be honest, which is fairly accurate. But obviously without a period it's still going off my old cycle before MMC. I have thought about getting some ovulation test strips to see what they say, but then today I have had bad period pains! So FX for af to start!

I hope your body gets back into a cycle soon too. The waiting just drives you crazy doesn't it.

@Laney79 I think I'm 10dpo. Got my static smiley on the CB OPK on 17th January in the morning. Smiley was still flashing on the 16th before I went to bed.

I'm ttc after a miscarriage on 7th Jan.. we decided to just let nature take it's course and not wait for next period etc

My question is when would I expect a period after a Mc ... I get that's why they want you to wait before getting pregnant again but we've had so much trouble getting pregnant I didnt want to wait

What's everyone's experience .. I don't want to get obsessed with doing tests but kind of don't know when to start thinking I'm late

Well ladies 24 hours from now I will officially be back on the ttc train. If all goes well with my erpc. I'm just a little bit scared today if I'm honest
