Thanks ladies @Laney79 @Lilimum6 and @InDreamland. I think I am fairly organised, just waiting some deliveries and obviously some bills to pay. Excited for time to fly now!

@Laney79 completely understand the wanting an answer... I think no answer is harder to deal with. They did manage my expectation yesterday by saying they only get a diagnosis 50% of time. 🤞

Thanks for all of the ongoing support ladies...

InDreamland · 16/01/2019 08:26

@Laney79 @TinyPaws ❤💐

@fnej01 eeaaaakkkk 23 days! Hope you're feeling all prepared and organised. That will fly by and before you know it will be here!

Laney79 · 16/01/2019 07:51

@fnej01 sorry to hear you felt a bit underwhelmed by your appointment. Think that if you are a research nut (and I am MOST deffo one!) it's hard because you already have a knowledge base and have probably ruled out several things before you get there, but the drs assume you know very little.
I'm not under an rmc but the consultant I saw was very honest with me and clocked I'd done my research. He even said to contact him with any more questions but if they were too technical he'd have to ask his colleague who was researching MC's as he may not know the answer!
But the good news is the tests are being done-sounds odd to say this but you'll know what I mean-fingers crossed they find a "simple" problem that they can treat easily for you-I personally wish they could do that with me, I'm no good with the unknown or this notion of bad luck!

Lilimum6 · 15/01/2019 23:26

@fnej01 thanks for your thoughts. Omg 23 days that's gonna fly by

fnej01 · 15/01/2019 22:53

Hi Ladies,

@Yukka beautiful picture congratulations!
@Lilimum6 so sorry to hear you have had a tough time.
@Laney79 hope 2ww is over for you in a flash with a rainbow at the end.
@KnitKitty Hope you are doing ok on your RMC path
@Boboelephant Good luck for ivf!

Sorry to all the others I have missed, I have only been flicking onto the thread intermittently as feel a bit removed while not TTC and waiting RMC. My heart goes out to you for those with loses

As for me I survived due date number 1 in the last couple of weeks. It was fine. I am sad but much easier to cope with now on a break. Now April and June due dates to go...

Today I had my RMC appt at st Mary's the Tommy's research centre. If I am honest it was a little underwhelming and I didn't come away any more informed than I went but that's probably reflective of the many hours of research i've done. So scan was fine, bloods taken, back in six weeks for more bloods and then appt in early April for results. Then I can get back on the TTC wagon. I asked about age, as I am 38, doc said can't rule it out as an issue, but would only look into chromosomal etc if next miscarriage once ruled out clotting, aps etc. So now we wait....

In other news 23 days until my wedding eeeek!

TinyPaws · 15/01/2019 22:16

@InDreamland On my first due date I lit a candle with my partner and had a cry went through a few things I kept to remind me of him/her (although for some reason I'm convinced it was a him). It kinda helped.

Still got due dates #2 and #3 to come - in April and August.

Laney79 · 15/01/2019 21:42

Gorgeous pic @Yukka xxx

Laney79 · 15/01/2019 21:42

@InDreamland for beans due date in October I took the day off work so I could spend it with my other half. Had a lie in (and a cry) went for a walk, to the cinema and then went for a meal. Just to spend time together. Nothing specifically to mark it as such (other than me kissing the scan pic and sobbing) but just being together, talking about bean, and by that point bow too (I'd just got my negative test after losing my second by beans due date). It's hard but you cope. Bows due date is in April. I'm dreading it as I suspect Megan markle will be due around the same time so it'll be wall to wall royal baby watch when I should've been giving birth x

InDreamland · 15/01/2019 21:31

Awww hello @babyYukka! 💖

@Lilimum6 I wish I could just wave a magic wand so you didn't have to keep going through this Flowers

Have had another cry. How do you all cope with the due date? 2 this year to deal with, the first is on Friday next week. I just don't know what to do. We've taken the day off work as I know I'll be a mess but I just don't know what to do. Will also be in the tww.

Lilimum6 · 15/01/2019 18:18

@Yukka lovely pic hun and yes me too just a little bit fed up with this now

Yukka · 15/01/2019 18:13

@Serenaoverjoyed thats fab news, really hopefull the rest of the pregnancy goes well for you.

for those that asked yesterday, here's a scan pic. its not great as baby wouldn't stop wriggling. the white blob at the top is a hand, then at the bottom is two feet and the umbilical chord.

Looking forward to consultant session tomorrow to find out more about 'phase 2' care.

@lilimum6 its such a shame this keeps happening to you, the time it takes to TTC again is painful. Hope you get it sorted quickly after the scan on sunday.

@laney79 keeping everything crossed for you . . ! x

Laney79 · 15/01/2019 18:05

Really pleased for you @SerenaOverjoyed -although I'd be upset with the rmc too! Fingers crossed everything keeps going well.

@Lilimum6 so sorry to hear the spotting hasn't progressed. It's so so hard. Wish there was something we could do to help. I hope that your body kicks in ASAP and let's go before your scan on Sunday.

As for me...the tww is dragging already. I'm only around 4dpo but I'm already symptom spotting! Felt a bit sicky yesterday morning and today had a few pains low down on my right side. Hoping it might be implantation but think I'm clutching at straws. If this is my first "normal" cycle after losing bow in sept/Oct AF would be due on the 23rd (12 day luteal phase)...seems ages!

Lilimum6 · 15/01/2019 17:19

@SerenaOverjoyed that's great news hun.

I've got another scan Sunday as this mc seems to not want to start by its self had spotting but nothing else. Really thought my body would give me a break but no it still wants to punish me 😭 so another erpc here we go again

SerenaOverjoyed · 15/01/2019 13:27

Hi all. Sorry to read it's been a rough time for so many recently. This is such a gruelling business, 2018 was probably the worst year of my life.

Thought I'd update. I have just had my 12 week scan which went pretty well. The baby wasn't super animated but did have a little wiggle, and we're measuring at 13wks! After 4 early mcs I can't believe it.

I'm being treated with daily heparin and 150mg asprin, based one set of borderline bloods in August for low antithrombin 3 and protein s Hmm. it seems to be working but I'm not happy with my rmc, they only decided these bloods were worthy of treatment at a 9wk appointment. Thankfully I took asprin without this being prescribed or this would probably be mc #5. I'll push for a diagnosis at my nect apt. I was so shocked at needing heparin at my last one I didn't think! I hope this isn't read as being tone death. I really didn't think it would happen for me but it (fx) seems to be. Statistically the vast majority of bereaved mothers get their rainbow. Flowers🐧

Good luck to those ttc, and resilience to those who are in referral limbo.

dragonmummy17 · 15/01/2019 12:19

Morning ladies. I did pop on a few weeks ago and have been lurking but not always felt able to post. Sorry to see new people here.
I was wondering what your first cycles post mc were like? I had ewcm last week but it was quite yellowy which is unusual but then I've had more over the last couple of days... a more usual colour. I don't temp and haven't used opks this month as we aren't officially trying again yet (but not preventing either!) I also have had sore itchy nipples since last week so that would usually show I ovulated then, so why has the ewcm come back? How long should it take for my cycle to get more normal again?

Ubacorn · 15/01/2019 10:18

Thanks ladies!

InDreamland · 15/01/2019 09:48

Thanks @Laney79, I'll give my GP a call later today, they don't like people calling in the morning when everyone trying to get on the day appointments phone up..

Sorry you're here @ubacorn. Hope your scan shows it's complete so you can start to heal Flowers

Yukka · 15/01/2019 09:09

@Ithinkthatsenough they may have done more research into yours to confirm its genetic. For APS they 'think' there is a genetic link but they can't prove it, and think that it would just make you more likely acquire the condition or suffer from it at some point in your lifetime. You could ask about your previous pregnancies on your hospital notes, whether anything unusual was listed about the placenta - with APS they say its very dry and gritty (sorry TMI) after birth which is clue to the condition. But again, a lot of this is very new in terms of research and clinical trials etc and of course its unethical to test on pregnant women, so who knows how much will ever be known.

I have a pic, I'll see if I can upload. Thanks for all your best wishes.

Sorry to see you here @ubacorn, hope the scan confirms its completed. Rest up and look after yourself x

Hi everyone. Sorry we all find ourselves here. Going in later to have a scan to confirm what we already know and check for anything retained.
Had a terrible night but I think the worst (physically) is over. Was 10 +3 yesterday. Planning a day in front of the telly..
😔

Laney79 · 15/01/2019 06:39

@InDreamland I just asked my gp for a copy of the results and they printed it out for me-it was mostly bloods (including lupus and one of the other aps tests) as well as a swab result. I'd start there x

Ithinkthatsenough · 14/01/2019 22:24

Thank you @Yukka and @Lilimum6 for the info, nice to hear there can be a positive outcome and brilliant news about your scan, everything crossed for you xx
From what ive read i thought it was a hereditary gene mutation...i need to make a list of questions for when i have my appt!

Holding off ttc until we know what were dealing with, but happier doing that now ive had this info about the Factor V x

strawberrye · 14/01/2019 22:16

@Yukka this is brilliant news, congratulations x

Lilimum6 · 14/01/2019 22:13

@Yukka that's wonderful news hun xx do you have pictures of your little one. Xx

InDreamland · 14/01/2019 21:31

Hi ladies. Not been on for around 10 days as AF arriving hit me hard with it being our last chance lost to be pregnant by the time due date of first baby. Dreading Friday next week. Finally took the plunge and contacted a private clinic for testing as after second loss in November I really need answers now. Does anyone know how long it takes for NHS to provide all test results I have had related to fertility? Do I ask my GP for them even when tests ordered through gynae clinic? The private clinic say to bring to initial consultation.

Sorry to see so many new ladies here.

@boboelephant and @RedRobin7 so lovely to see you back! Fingers crossed for you both on your new IVF/TTC journeys.

@Russkispy sorry AF turned up.

@Lilimum6 the service sounds like it was special.

@Yukka congratulations on the positive 12 weeks scan!

Tryingforkittens · 14/01/2019 21:13

Hi All,

I had a miscarriage in December with my first baby. I miscarried naturally on new years eve. I'm now waiting for my first AF.
I'm so excited to see you making blankets. I have knitted since a child and I'm always making blankets, usually crochet. I bought some wool for my baby blanket just before I found out babies heart wasn't beating.
I wasn't sure if I wanted to still make the blanket but I think it helped me. I spent most of the following two weeks off work and finished it in two weeks.

How do I post a picture on here?
