Good luck Russkispy!
Critter forgot to reply yesterday- I have my down reg scan tomorrow and going from there.

Had my second scan today. Still 7 follicles, 6 on the left and dominant and have grown up to 13-16mm and the right is only one and around 11mm. Starting Orgalutran tonight, to prevent them from premature bursting. Next scan on Friday and flying home/to the clinic on Saturday. Trigger is on Sunday. Egg collection is still scheduled for next Tuesday.

PeanutButterCrumpets · 28/11/2018 16:40

@Rose68 I wish i'd tried relaxing sooner! Had been ttc for about 3 years whilst doing a stressful and very mind occupying day and evening job!

Snowie3 · 28/11/2018 16:17

Welcome to the group new ladies!

Congrats Cookie. Awesome news!!

So my faint positive turned into a negative the following day and my period has now started. I knew it wasn't looking good for the point in the cycle when i tested. In fact had i not used a high sensitivity test i probably wouldn't have even known about it which seems really strange to me..

Onto the next month then! I am going in for a baseline scan on Friday to see if i can start ivf stims before christmas closure, fingers crossed. DC was ivf baby so hoping to repeat the cycle!

Im sorry Weasle i don't have experience of your symptoms but i do know that hormones have a massive impact on how my body reacts each month x

Rose68 · 28/11/2018 16:11

Peanut - I also think it makes a difference to be relaxed, I conceived my second DS while on holiday and my recent pregnancy, the month we conceived, I ignored everything that had been stressing me out, where as the previous month I couldn’t sleep around ovulation time cause I was so stressed by it all.

PeanutButterCrumpets · 28/11/2018 15:49

@Loopyloopy I'm 41 now with a 5 month old DD and have been having irregular periods and hot flushes since well before ttc. Roughly since I turned 40 so don't worry too much! Funnily enough I conceived DD once I was fully relaxed on holiday.

weasledee · 28/11/2018 15:05

Excuse the thick question cleo but what are the signs of one? :)

BooseysMom · 28/11/2018 14:14

@KahFen..welcome to the group and thanks for your lovely msg. So many different walks of life on here and you have an interesting story. Good luck x

Welcome @TulipsTwoLips... 41/42 is nothing!..I had DS at 41. You have a good chance. Good luck x

Cleozeta · 28/11/2018 13:21

Could you be having an anovulatory cycle?

weasledee · 28/11/2018 13:19

Oh yes, I remember now, I don't think I am pregnant but I do think it's a hormonal problem...

Cleozeta · 28/11/2018 13:08

Might be to early to show on a hpt yet.
Karigan had a feeling she was pg but all tests came back bfn and af didn't show for ages. A scan showed early pregnancy but it wasn't viable unfortunately

weasledee · 28/11/2018 12:09

So we didn't try this cycle and I'm due on next Monday. It's so weird, I do feel more sick in the morning and feel better when eaten, but all tests are very BFN. But the sickness is quite bad and really driving me mad...
Can you remind me what happened with Karigan? I'm wondering if they might test for pregnancy on the blood test regardless of what I said about not being pregnant....

Cleozeta · 28/11/2018 09:57

Weasle, it could be hormone related. I was convinced I was pregnant last year as I was feeling sick when hungry (typical pregnancy symptom for me) and my period was late. Turned out I wasn't. I think it was just wacky hormones unfortunately. (And I think I was taking too much B6)

Have you charted or done opks for this cycle? Any idea when af may be due? Remember when karigan kept getting bfn's but a scan confirmed she was pregnant? Our bodies are a mystery, it could be either! Or anything!

Rose68 · 28/11/2018 09:18

@weasledee and @Hellbelle75 I sometimes feel sick for a few days before my period comes x

Helbelle75 · 28/11/2018 09:05

@weasledee I felt sick all last month as well. Was convinced I was pregnant, but AF turned up on schedule.
I'm fine this month. I wonder what it is? I put it down to anxiety in the end.

weasledee · 28/11/2018 08:48

Hi all, welcome to our new joiners :)
So weird update from me, last month we didn't try but coincidentally I started feeling sick all day, worse in the morning!! Done pregnancy test, not pregnant. Been to see docs on Monday as it's now driving me mad, I feel sick ALL the time :(
Doc asked me a couple of times "are u sure you're not pregnant?!" I'm not, so don't know what's going on. I asked her if she thought it was the menopause and she said unlikely.... Had blood tests so just waiting on those now, bit worried tbh....

Taxgirl1 · 28/11/2018 08:06

Congrats @Cookie and @snowie. Lovely news. Fingers crossed for sticky beans.

@Rose, my OH is a little ambivalent about continuing to keep trying. He's got 4 kids from a previous relationship and really wasnt bothered about any more. And we both hate the stressy scheduled sex.

So I took the steroids and progesterone that Mr Shehata prescribed but my instincts were telling me that my period was coming... I've had two bleeds since my mc - I know my hcg levels were still raised after the first bleed because I had bloods taken and it looks as though the last bleed wasn't a period either. Think this has to be my period - I think it's been trying to make its appearance for the last few days but the progesterone has kept it at bay. Do you think this will affect ovulation etc this month? I hate the feeling of being so out of control with what my body is doing. With every month that passes I become increasingly inclined to give up on trying. The yearning seems to be dissipating...but maybe it's self-defence - protecting myself from the hurt that I'll feel if I have another mc. I actually feel scared about the prospect of becoming pg... 😬

Taxgirl1 · 28/11/2018 08:01

Wow it's difficult to keep up with everyone's news.

@Crittertamer - such lovely news about your scan. And thanks for the info about pgs. That's very interesting.

@helbelle sorry to hear about your loss. That must have been so devastating to find out at the scan. The overwhelming sick desperation when you see the screen is enough to destroy you.

@floofsquidge - great news. So happy for you.

@Ameliel can understand how tough that must be. Sending you big hugs. Give yourself some time and space to grieve your loss - it is huge and then try to focus on what you have. It's not easy I know but it does help with the pain.

CookieWaffle · 28/11/2018 05:59

Thanks ladies xxx

@littlemimosa we started in April and I've had 2 CPs since. I turned 40 this year and this will be my first!

littlemimosa · 27/11/2018 23:05

Such a lot to catch up on in only 24 hours!

Cookie - congratulations! Lovely lovely news. Please remind me again how long you were ttc and if it’s your first or not.....

Welcome to all our lovely new ladies. So great to have you all😀

Ameliel I’m sorry to hear your DH has changed his mind. That is very hard no matter how many children you have. My DH was never desperate for another (unlike me!!) but like Chat’s DH he enjoys the unprotected sex so who am I to argue! Who takes responsibility for the contraception?

Cleozeta · 27/11/2018 21:57

Kahfen - let me know if Santa needs a £20 off discount code for the ava!

KahFen · 27/11/2018 21:25

Good luck to all the ladies doing IVF soon. I really hope that this cycle is the lucky one. The info about embryo testing was really helpful and interesting to read thanks Critter.

Presh and Russ and Orchid I hope your docs behave and the scans go well. Keep us posted.

Floofsquidge - sending all the best and calmest thoughts to you. I am happy that things are progressing as they should. No reason to worry. Meditiate on the positive - the BIG positive :)

The Ava bracelet looks really good - quite pricey - but Santa is due to visit ;) He could contribute :) I'll make him one of my best mince pies.
Off to go and analyse some data and see if I can make any sense of it all. My man is asleep on the sofa so let's hope that data doesn't tell me its bd night!

Night night. Good to have met you all. It has already helped being here. Thanks xx

CritterTamer · 27/11/2018 21:15

@Orchid222 - glad it was helpful. Good luck for Thursday - is that your dat 2/3 basel8ne scan?

Orchid222 · 27/11/2018 18:38

Welcome to all new ladies.
Critter thanks for the info re: screening, I said right away no to that (and yes it is extremely expensive!) and then 2 nights ago I stated up late reading about it. Got as far as the posibility of damaging the embryo but not to the studies, was going to keep reading over the weekend but you just have me the info I needed :) my clinic didn't advise anything as it's an individual choice really isn't it?
My scan is on Thursday, very curious to see what happens.
