I think crampy feelings post ovulation are a good sign.....

Cleozeta · 09/01/2019 08:08

Thanks minosa - I wish I was hopeful, but all this started at 3 dpo...
Having accupucture every 10-14 days, depending on when he asks to see me, although it never seems to match with ov or start of af, does yours? Going in tomorrow and I'll be 6dpo

Rose68 · 09/01/2019 08:04

@Cleo just reread my message from yesterday, it was meant to say crampy, not crappy! ☺️

Karigan195 · 09/01/2019 06:59

Pretty much all you’re allowed is paracetamol. I had norovirus whilst pregnant with my first and It’s horrible.

Try the old head over a hot bowl to see if the steam helps trick plus here’s a list of natural remedies

CritterTamer · 09/01/2019 03:12

Thanks everyone for your reassurances - I know you are all right - I'm just a natural worrier!

Does anyone have any pregnancy safe cold remedies that actually work? I'm struggling here - trying to blow my nose to clear my sinuses but all that's coming out is blood, my throat feels like there's battery acid been poured down it and my chest is like a hot, burning weight, but I know that if I start coughing I'll immediately start vomiting again. Haven't slept now in a week and I just don't know what to do - I would kill for a bottle of night nurse right now! Anyone have any suggestions???

Letsdothis43 · 09/01/2019 00:50

@Chatbash72 hows things with you and @Orchid222 hope you'r okay

Letsdothis43 · 09/01/2019 00:47

@zoeroma @Olivia welcome! 43 here too!! Shock and no idea how that happened, in fact I don't know how we are on the 9th of this month already!

@Crittertamer, I can only imagine how you must be feeling, and hearing the stories is bound to make you feel nervous, but I have everything crossed that your two bubbas will be blissfully growing just perfectly!

@Booseymom, Hi! went ok actually, a bit of a sting but DH was brilliant at being nurse and I hardly felt it!

I was onto my clinic co-ordinator again today just to organise things for visit next week and she (after a million emails back and forth making sure what day I was to start stims) said oh you do realise you are menat to start them on CD3, so I screenshot an Email with her clearly telling me I should definitely start on CD2 ... I know it's little things but I am so panicky about it all going smoothly that everything is making me question everything!

Afterwards she said ah well thats fine just continue but now i'm like .... Confused !!

Chatbash72 · 08/01/2019 23:38

I'm sure I posted earlier but can't see it 🤦‍♀️
@mellongoose you brave lady, make sure you take time to grieve, counselling is good and I think there are some very good children's bereavement books available.. sending lots of love.
@Snowie3 I read that sperm can perish in the tubes after 5 days "inactivity" a wank during af could deffo mean that they are tip top for an early dtd as soon as af is over to catch an early ov.
. @littlemimosa @Cleozeta
I've sometimes had an early ov and my best f fell preg on a ov on cd 5..
@CritterTamer it's perfectly natural to stress throughout the whole pregnancy.. I relaxed a little after 25 weeks as my hubby was born at 25 weeks over 40 years ago.. but counting the kicks is really important and will become easier as the twinnies get bigger, think there is a counting the kicks app.
@Presh12345 test again in a couple of days..
welcome @olivia12 x
Have I covered most ladies.. sorry been off for a day and it's gone bonkers on here wish is fab..
bumped in an old school friend on Sunday, she had her 3rd in early 40's and reading about Collette the real one that the film is based on, she had her child at 40 and that was blinking decades ago... still hope ladies xxx

littlemimosa · 08/01/2019 23:18

Cleo - I’m hopeful for you. Cramps and increased CM......
It sounds like you’re doing what you can to length LP. How often are you having acupuncture now? Mines Friday now, had to cancel today’s.

Cleozeta · 08/01/2019 23:10

Rose - what kind of crappy? I usually feel great after ov, but this time feeling crampy and loads of cm making me think af is here every 5 minutes.

Cleozeta · 08/01/2019 23:09

Mimosa - yes I'm using progesterone cream this cycle (I did last cycle too but it made no difference) I'm also taking B6, vit C and hoping the vitex will help. Going all out to lengthen LP but can just worryingly feel it coming! I know stressing makes it worse. Can't wait for my next accupuncture session on Thursday, hopefully that'll help relax me

Rose68 · 08/01/2019 23:07

Cleo, try not to stress, I’m sure it will all be fine. I often get crappy feelings a few days after ovulation x

littlemimosa · 08/01/2019 22:11

Welcome Olivia and Zoe. In the nicest possible way, I hope your stay here is short and sweet!

littlemimosa · 08/01/2019 22:09

Cleo - I don’t think it’s possible no. I think you’re confusing your progesterone with AF maybe? Also stressing about things can make them happen (says she who stresses too about every little thing). Did you ever look into bio-identical progesterone cream? It might be worth getting your progesterone level done again and if still low to get yourself some. I think Biovea sell it?

littlemimosa · 08/01/2019 22:01

Snowie - I’ve just ovulated CD5 too. So annoyed with it as my cycles were getting much better since starting TCM but I’ve missed two (nearly 3) weeks because of the Xmas holidays. Very frustrating ovulating straight after AF as it’s leaves NO time to dtd. Aaaaaaaah. Count me out this month. Trying not to cry about it.

Critter - understandable that you’re feeling anxious after two pieces of bad news. But the odds are stacked firmly in your favour right now and those babies of yours have been a force from the start. Look after yourself and get well soon. It’s winter too and those bubbas will be using all your vitamin D and seratonin. You’ll feel better come spring:) x

BooseysMom · 08/01/2019 21:22

@Olivia12 and @ZoeRoma... Welcome and best wishes for your fertility journeys xx

Critter.. Hope you're feeling better today.

Lets..how did today go for you?

Cleozeta · 08/01/2019 20:32

Wecome olivia.

Critter I think you made the right choice to choose the scan over the doppler from what I have read.

So I have a new 2ww anxiety. Gutted as the 2ww used to be my most relaxed time of the month, after spending 2-3 weeks stressing over ovulation. Now my lovely relaxing 2ww has been transferred to one almighty stress-fest. The worry is that AF will come. Like, since 3dpo it's felt like it's on it's way. I don't know if thats because the last 2 cycles its come early at 8 & 9 dpo and thats stressing me out, or if it really is coming seriously early. But I'm getting seriously stressed. Is it even possible for AF to come as early as 4 or 5 dpo? (I definitely ovulated)

Realitysucks · 08/01/2019 19:09

@CritterTamer sending you loads of virtual positivity 🤣🤣🤣 I know it’s worrying and your right it doesn’t stop once you get the two lines. But things have been good so far so no reason to think differently. I saw my sister at Christmas who is currently 37 weeks following her second ivf. She did say that with This pregnancy she really struggled to relax as it was an ivf baby and didn’t really settle into it till she was about 32 weeks. I think partly it’s the build up and the months sometimes years of ttc then when you finally get there you have already been through a rollercoaster and can’t quite comprehend it’s happened! Feeling ill is also crappy, everyone has had it, i was sick all over Xmas and only just starting to feel better now.

Scan will be exciting though and as rose said once you can feel bubs you will feel better. X sending lots of love and good luck with the scan x x x

Rose68 · 08/01/2019 18:10

@olivia12 I will be 44 in June 😳

olivia12 · 08/01/2019 16:50

Oh I love the pine trees!!!! And yes I know about the rubbish Angry....

ZoeRoma · 08/01/2019 16:19

@olivia12 I love the history, theatre, music, and pine trees. I hate the tax rates, rubbish, and graffiti lol

Glad you're happy in London!

olivia12 · 08/01/2019 16:14

Oh wow! @zoeRoma you live in Rome!! I was there a week ago to see my family for Christmas! I hope you love living there..i do miss my city but my heart is also in London now.

ZoeRoma · 08/01/2019 16:09

@olivia12 No, I'm British European ;) but my husband is Italian, and my son's a dual national. We live in Rome.

CritterTamer · 08/01/2019 16:08

Thanks @Floofsquidge - interesting read which really confirmed what I was thinking, and added even more downsides. Glad I booked the scan instead - gives me something to look forward to and I think I would get obsessive if I was using a doppler at home too!

olivia12 · 08/01/2019 16:02

Thank you @CritterTamer Smile

@ZoeRoma lovely to hear! Looking at your name, are you from Rome by any chance? I am originally from Rome, but in London since I was 21!
