@Orchid222 - keeping everything tightly crossed for you 🤞 how many did you have put back? Are you planning to wait til the 31st or do you think you'll test earlier? (Don't forget the trigger shot can hang around in your system for up yo 10 days so be careful not to test too early!)

Orchid222 · 19/12/2018 18:15

Thanks ladies. I'm not supposed to test until the 31st. No frosties (unlike yours at 40 Critter a few of my eggs didn't fertilise normally- must be age related plus annoyingly some of my follies grew too slowly and didn't have eggs 😢) and no blasts either as my clinic felt it's best to do a 3d transfer.

CritterTamer · 19/12/2018 14:55

Orchid that should have said nice blasts* BTW...

CritterTamer · 19/12/2018 14:54

@Orchid222 - glad you're OK - I've been thinking of you 😊 this TWW will be horrible but hopefully the excitement and busy-ness of Christmas will make it pass quickly for you! When is your OTD? Did you get some ice blasts and any frosties? Xxx

@Presh12345 sorry that AF arrived - progesterone supplementation doesnt hold off AF for everyone - especially if you have good high natural progesterone levels. Will you try again with IUI?

Russkispy · 19/12/2018 09:16

Read this last night although I do/take the most of it. Thought I'd share...
www.zitawest.com/improve-quality-of-my-eggs/

Russkispy · 19/12/2018 09:14

AF arrived yesterday. I've picked myself up off the floor and will soldier on as I do. Just trying to work out what's next and best for me. Yet to hear my doctor's recommendations. Dad is visiting us end of January and that could have been my fresh round of IVF but maybe I step back and work on egg quality even more. I read some article about it last night and will post it shortly. From what I've read, I pretty much follow all of it. Although I bought something else after I read it. Will continue with acupuncture and reflexology and just throw anything and everything I've got! And will stay chilled (hate word relaxed in TTC world! It should be bloody banned!)
@Presh12345 , sorry to hear about AF. Hope your Greek god has some answers
@Orchid222 fingers crossed for you ! Please try to take it easy! Avoiding the word relax! Have you ever heard of the app Mindful IVF. I've got it on the phone and keep listening all the time! It's a breakdown in stages of IVF. Have a look, maybe you find it useful. And maybe it's also for others as there are recordings for 2ww.
@Cleozeta hope AF stays away!
Thinking of you all! And still have faith and hope for all of us!

Cleozeta · 19/12/2018 08:42

Presh sorry to hear AF got you, so disappointing.
Orchid I can imagine how stressful this wait must be for you, firstly for the financial impact and secondly for the emotional as so much more has been put into this. Fingers crossed for you. When do you test?

As for me, AF looks like it'll be coming tomorrow at 9dpo again, just like last cycle. I was really hoping last times early AF was a one off, but it appears not. My rhr is plummeting just like before. This cycle I have tried progesterone cream and B6, what else can I do to raise progesterone? Or could it be something else causing these early periods?

Orchid222 · 19/12/2018 08:06

Hi ladies sorry I disappeared for a few days the stress of it all got to me. I'm now in the most anxious 2ww since we started ttc remaining hopeful but also being realistic and bracing myself for a negative so it's not too much of a shock if it doesn't happen.
Russ I'm so sorry about your bfn. Why is it so difficult? 😢
I know it's a slim chance but if AF doesn't arrive soon maybe test one more time? I've read online about women getting bfn and after waiting for AF for like a week they tested again and it was bfp so miracles do happen.

Presh12345 · 19/12/2018 08:01

Morning, well AF is here in full force but I don't understand why as I am still taking the progesterone tablets and gel. Silly question but if I had 4 follicles, 1 fertilised, what happens to other 3? Doc still wants me to test today but I don't see the point.

littlemimosa · 18/12/2018 22:41

Hmmm interesting responses so far. Thanks ladies.

Presh - it’s still early for testing. Don’t lose hope yet.

Cleozeta · 18/12/2018 20:56

Mimosa I find I get ewcm for 2 days then nothing for a few days then ov pains. I think it's different for everyone

Rose68 · 18/12/2018 20:12

@littlemimosa I get ewcm for a few days, possibly 5ish days, then I get bad ovulation pain on the last day of ewcm. My ovulation pains last about half a day (12 or so hours), I have always assumed once ovulation has happened the pain gets better. That seems to be the case for me anyway. I have been trying to dtd the day before ov pains, the day of ov pains and the day after. But I think it’s before ov pains that’s the important one. xxx

Chatbash72 · 18/12/2018 19:49

@littlemimosa I've always thought that ov pains come before the ewcm... as thought it was the ovs getting ready to release..
so sorry about the bfn @Russkispy
Oh my goodness @lii222 what a dreadful time, here's hoping you can get answers soon.
@mahotsukai the female body is a strange beast..
@Presh12345 it could be implanting
Hubby is following me around like a dog on heat at the moment... says I smell diff... well loads of ewcm this cycle.. so dtd every other day.. although I keep getting pounced on during the day.. but it's too bloody cold in our house at the moment to even entertain removal of clothing... ohhh the romance 🤣🤣🤣

Presh12345 · 18/12/2018 17:43

Been travelling home today from middle East for Christmas so feel awful. I think my period has started but a)I'm on double dose of progesterone plus vaginal gels and b) it's brown. Not red or pink.
There is quite a bit on wiping but don't need a pad.
Could this be implantation? I'm 13dpiui. Tested yesterday and got bfn. My Greek God doc has told me to test tmrw.

littlemimosa · 18/12/2018 17:21

Russ so sorry it’s bfn. Still plenty of hope for you.

Liii so sorry to hear of your mc and hemorrhage. Hopefully tests may help you get some answers and move forward.

Mahotsukai glad you feel your cycle has normalized after your mmc.

AFM I think I ovulated yesterday on CD13 which is the best day I’ve had in months. I’ve had no hot flashes and just generally feel a lot better. My period wasn’t as heavy and draining either so I’m v impressed with acupuncture and herbs. Only managed to dtd on Sat pm and this morning though so not great effort this month with sex. Hopefully timed it ok. Can I ask everyone about ewcm and ov pains....do you think ovulation comes before, during or after these for you?

mahotsukai · 17/12/2018 22:38

After MMC I thought it might take a month or 2 at least for things to settle down, but it seems my body bounced back quickly and I think I may have ovulated on CD16 (if MC was CD1) as normal.

BooseysMom · 17/12/2018 19:26

@Alibaba2..nice to hear from you and sorry about your CP Flowers

@Russkispy..Sorry to hear it was bfn. Take heart in that my sis-in-law was successful with IVF 2nd attempt and now has a beautiful baby boy for Xmas! As Critter says give yourself those 3 months to rest and treat yourself over Xmas xx Flowers

@lii222...omg that sounds horrendous. You poor thing. i'm so sorry to hear about your mc and hemorrhage. So difficult whilst at work too..you did well to hide it. Hope you are ok now? Flowers

lii222 · 17/12/2018 18:24

Thanks everyone for updating with your news. Sending you all good thoughts as we head through the holiday fun and frenzy.
We had our test results this week from the MMC a month ago and it was a boy with Trisomy 14 plus another duplication on a different chromosome. Since it’s our third miscarriage we’re eligible for further genetic testing so it will be nice to know more when that all goes through. Hoping this was just a random thing if likely age-related.
I also wanted to mention that I had a surprise and fairly drastic hemorrhage out of the blue last week. Everything had finally calmed down after the procedure a month prior so I was pretty shocked but fortunately managed to leave work (a primary school!) without too many people finding out. Apparently it was some retained tissue and this just happens sometimes. Yikes

CritterTamer · 17/12/2018 16:58

@Russkispy - I'm so sorry it was a BFN today - I know that horrible bleak feeling when you see it and realise you've put yourself through all that for nothing. You seem to be such a strong positive person, but do let yourself have some time to properly get over this - failed IVF cycles take a horrible emotional and physical toll and you may find it really hits you in a couple of days (it did for me). Please remember that first cycles fail more often than not, and your medical team will have learned a lot from it, and be able to tweak your protocol for the next cycle so that it will be far more personalised to you, and hopefully more successful! One thing I would advise is not to jump into another cycle to soon - a minimum 3 cycle break is recommended between cycles or the response to stims will be poorer. I was gutted when my clinic explained this (and they won't do another cycle without a 3 month break anyway so I had no choice), but then I researched it and realised this was for the best and I'm so glad I did wait now - I responded So much better the second time around 😊

Anyway I hope this helps and do take good care of yourself over the next few days. xxx

karryk · 17/12/2018 16:43

Sorry it's bfn @Russkispy 😕 Flowers fingers crossed for your next cycle ✨

Annoyingly my next fertile time is likely to be over Christmas when there is zero chance of dtd! Maybe I can convince dh to squirt some into a cup or something 😬

Hope everyone has a nice week x

Russkispy · 17/12/2018 15:46

Thank you lovely ladies! Waiting for AF to fully start. And after it's gone then a shagathon time! Haha and if that won't work, then will start IVF again and will fly home from day 1 of injections, so I'm under full observation of my doctor. Till ET.

Rose68 · 17/12/2018 11:18

@Russkispy, I’m so so sorry, it must be gutting for you to have been through all of that just to get a bfn. Sending you hugs x

Cleozeta · 17/12/2018 11:07

Ali - Yeah I love progesterone....

My CP was pretty short lived, got a positive test when I was about 3 days late, then period came about 3 days later, so making period about a week late. Very disappointing but nothing like the drama's of my mmc.

Russ - sorry you got bfn. Fingers crossed for next time

Russkispy · 17/12/2018 11:01

It's BFN for me. Of course gutted but soldier on. Waiting to hear from the doctor. Think will have to wait for a cycle and then start IVF again since we don't have frosties.

Alibaba2 · 17/12/2018 10:39

Yes that does make sense Mimosa. That thought of “my work here is done, now just need to wait”.

Plus progesterone makes us feel nice and relaxed. :-)

Sorry you had a CP too Cleo. How many days did the pg/positive hot last for?
