@KateyA welcome! Lots of lovely ladies on here and some wonderful success stories Grin

I had dd a month after my 40th and a school friend has just given birth to her second a month after turning 42 so it can most definitely happen for you! Flowers

Xx

BooseysMom · 30/12/2018 08:02

@KateyA..Welcome to our super-board! You're in the right place. Here's a piece of positive news to start you off...40 is nothing! I was 40 when we conceived DS, 3 months off 41 when we had him and he's certainly the best thing to have ever happened to me. There's every chance for you esp with a supportive partner..good luck xx

@Chatbash72..i know! Being trolled isn't nice and it wasn't even my thread..I was only being what i thought was helpful and supportive Confused
Today I feel tearful and AF finished a couple days ago. Just keep crying at everything!

Karigan195 · 30/12/2018 07:50

I don’t know. first hint we had that it had happened was partner looked at me and went ‘your boobs look massive’ and they were/are sore! Don’t treat anything as a sign or not a sign imho except af coming

whyhaveidonethis · 30/12/2018 07:25

@chatbash72 no AF but a BFN this morning. Pretty sure AF will show up today 😔

Chatbash72 · 30/12/2018 03:50

In the last week of my 2ww!!! 😬 boobs are killing me but sadly that's not a preg sign.. just flipping sore boobs

Chatbash72 · 30/12/2018 03:44

On a night duty so having a big catch up...
welcome @KateyA it's exciting trying for a baby, you'll get plenty of lush positive comments and support here and sadly no our nearest and dearest are not supportive..
@onemorego2019 Yup a new thread link will be posted although I'm not tech savvy so it takes we a little while 🤦‍♀️
@CritterTamer buying a pram is whoop whoop and it's sale time so obvs.. I too @BooseysMom find myself staring into prams.. and can't believe you were trolled!!! Some people 😱
Congratulations @Karigan195 fab to have a bfp on here I am a firm believer in the moment you go "oh hang it" your body releases some stress and body relaxes 😍
@Orchid222 and @whyhaveidonethis has AF arrived?? There is still hope it could just be too early 🤞🤞sending big hugs
@Presh12345 I use coenzyme 10, from Holland and Barrett but have only been for about 3 months so would only about know be seeing or not seeing a diff to egg quality., but it's supposed to be fab for general all over cell quality... so will enjoy that too at my ripe old age 🤣
Hope I haven't forgotten anyone.. big hugs and baby dust too all 💕💕

Presh12345 · 30/12/2018 00:04

Anyone tried co enzyme 10 with any success

littlemimosa · 29/12/2018 23:55

Pull up a chair and get comfy Katey, welcome :)

KateyA · 29/12/2018 23:16

Hi Guys
Can I joint this board? I’m 40 and just started trying for the first time.

I’m feeling very excited but a bit alone on this all. My partner is very supportive but my mum and friends seem non plused about us starting to try and reluctant to talk about it. Perhaps cos they already have their own kids or grandchildren and don’t realise or have forgotten how huge and exciting but also terrifying this step feels esp after years of thinking I’d never have a chance of being a mum.

Karigan195 · 29/12/2018 20:43

This is a lovely thread. Why I came back to share my good news. I remember every time someone posted their good news it gives a bit of hope. But we’ve all had plenty of hand holdings.

onemorego2019 · 29/12/2018 20:16

Phew 😅 😂

BooseysMom · 29/12/2018 20:05

@mellongoose..Thank you Smile and @CritterTamer..Thank you for the hug Smile xx that made me lol about everyone trying to look in the pram! I find myself doing it alot more than I should. But i think it's fine to shop for a pram now..well done for finding the exact one you wanted in the sale! Who would walk away from that?!!

@onemorego2019...don't worry there's always a link to the new thread posted here so everyone can find it. You won't lose us!

onemorego2019 · 29/12/2018 19:49

Just like to say this is a lovely thread. Do they only go to 999 posts? What when you reach the max how do I find you all again?? I'm going to need some hand holding 🙄😂

CritterTamer · 29/12/2018 19:39

@Karigan195 - congratulations, such fantastic news 😊

@Orchid222 - don't give up just yet! If you do end up with a BFN I know it's hard, but don't rush into the next cycle - my clinic insisted on waiting until the third natural cycle after the failed IVF to start again, as the response to stimulation is poorer if you immediately start again. I was glad we did wait as response second time around was much better.

@Booseysmom and @Whyhaveidonethis - big hugs to you both xxx

AFM - I did something silly today and bought my pram! Intention had just been to look and see what was available in the January sales and then we came across the exact one I had been wanting with 20% off in a closing down sale! I know 15 weeks is too early but it was too good a bargain to pass up - I'm terribly worried I've jinxed something now though, but also incredibly broody after pushing it back to the car through the city centre - people kept trying to look inside to see babies and looked so disappointed that it was empty lol!

mellongoose · 29/12/2018 18:58

Oh @BooseysMom. I despair of some people on mumsnet. I notice that people just want to question the op and challenge every detail rather than offer support. The spirit of the place has changed but some threads (like this one) still feel like safer places to be open and honest about feelings without the crazies interfering!!!

@Cleozeta mine was from Holland & Barrett and it was called Busy B. I'm in the bath so can't check the ingredients. Will do later. It's what they sold me when I was run down and knackered all the time....didn't mention anything to do with ttc as that wasn't really why I was after them. However, considering others have mentioned vit B helping ttc I'm not discounting its contribution to the cause!! I'll get those ingredients later.

BooseysMom · 29/12/2018 17:39

Thank you Little & Karigan, that's v.kind. 😊The thread has now got loads of trolling on it and some msgs have been reported and removed!! I'm staying here from now on!!

Karigan195 · 29/12/2018 17:21

Oh Boosey! Just ignore them. They think it’s ok to hide behind a screen and say nasty things.

I’m 42 in a few months and have 1 kid already

littlemimosa · 29/12/2018 16:43

Oh Booseys - just stay on here with us and ignore the rest of those crazies. People think it's ok to lay into people on MN as they can hide behind their screens. Cowards. We know you're kind and lovely so stuff 'em.

whyhaveidonethis - sending a huge hug to you, it truly sucks.

BooseysMom · 29/12/2018 14:53

@whyhaveidonethis ... sorry about your bfn. Here's a big hug and can we share a shoulder to cry on ? Sad

BooseysMom · 29/12/2018 14:50

@Karigan195 & @mellongoose ... wonderful news ..huge congratulations Flowers
I've come back to my beloved ladies with tail between legs after having my head bitten off on another thread where the OP posted a preg test that got stronger over the subsequent days. She was really unsure about going ahead and I said it was exciting and she might feel differently further down the line. I wished her all the best. My god how I wish I hadn't posted!! I was just thinking back to when I found out I was expecting DS and I was so scared and didn't want to go ahead..some people on mumsnet attacked me for wanting to end a new life and I was made to feel like an evil bitch. When I went to the scan I completely changed and suddenly I wanted the little bean more than anything. It just feels like you sometimes you can't say the right thing on here Confused feeling totally pissed off with everything atm.. sorry Sad

PetraRabbit · 29/12/2018 12:57

Whyhaveidonethis.....hugs!

PetraRabbit · 29/12/2018 12:55

Thanks for the solidarity! I'm feeling a bit stronger now the Christmas build up is over and enjoying the annual leave!
Karigan that is such good news and very hopeful. Remind me of your age and if you have any DC already? I think stressing over TTC is a particular kind of stress that's terrible for TTC, I have a couple of other things coming up to stress over so maybe that'll do it! Mellon don't feel bad to share good news. No pregnancy in this group could do anything other than cheer me up! Real life can definitely feel different!

karryk · 29/12/2018 12:51

@whyhaveidonethis biggest biggest hugs ❤️

whyhaveidonethis · 29/12/2018 11:40
